    Exactly the information that I needed. Thank you so much for this video. Thank you for going over how to plant them, how to water them, and how you can grow them in water too. And thank you for also showing how we can take a plant that is dying and root it in water to save it. Part 1 and Part 2 of this were both great. Appreciate you taking the time to do them.

    • @EmaansGarden

      +haylinmilsam I’m sure you can do it. Most of people who tried this method of propagation already have babies from the leaves and they let me know about that. It is really the easiest way with less care and less worries. Sometimes I don’t look for 2 months. Sometimes I plant and forget and after some time I find them in a green house already blooming. You are always welcome! Thank you too for watching and trying my method.

    Great video on propagating African violets! I knocked one of my violets over and broke a few leaves off the plant. This prompted me to look up some videos on this subject. Emaan explained everything she was doing so precisely, and her reasons why she did it a particular way. I’ve tried to propagate violet leaves before with absolutely no success. Hopefully, by doing what I have seen in this video; I will be more successful.

      We can use just soil. But there is 100% chances in this method that you will have babies. If you have a special leaf it is better to do what I showed. If you have many leaves you can use just a soil. Soil is heavier and not as airy as the vermiculite and perlite . Thank you!

    Hi Emaan’s, HELP!!! I don’t know what I did wrong. I propagated the leaves in soil and wick watered. The soil seams to wet. Can I put the propagated leave in the wick water and in the plastic bag outside for a couple of hours?

    • @Vmurph
      @Vmurph 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I noticed you asked this question 3 months ago, so I hope it’s not too late. It’s my understand that wicking is never used in propagation because there are no roots (yet) to drink from the soil. That’s why she only dribbles a tiny bit of water on the surface (not even enough to reach the soil).
      Once the mother leaf has produced babies and has a good root system (which go down into the soil part), then you can switch to the wicking method.
