Also have a 2020 MY with unplugged coils. Recently saw your video about calibration, tight up front and back soft. Was a big improvement. Now 15 clicks in back and 20 up front. Next month will set back to 10 clicks see how that works. Maybe even tighter up front, or not. Thanks for the tip.

Just purchased 23 Model Y Performance. First electric car. I am a car enthusiast and this car does it for me. I have owned many cars but only a few have perma grinned my face while driving, and blew my T levels through the roof. 2003 mustang mach 1, 2017 challenger hellcat 6 speed, MY performance. I have owned terminator cobra, gti, c7 vette 7spd, etc. MY does it for me! Plus as a dad it practical and economical lol wtf, truly one of a kind. Love your sense of himor and content!

Just bought one and live in OKC. You’re right about the supercharger station. They really need to are another one in OKC. I’m going to have to get the CS1 adapter because all the regular charging stations near me all use it.

What app are you using to calculated battery degradation?
Gjeebs, will your model y adjust the speed when you're using auto pilot and you drive through different speed zones?
Did the aftermarket suspension upgrades void your warranty?
I love my 2023 Model Y AWD Long Range I just got 3 weeks ago (just did a 3000KM recent road trip). I sold my 2023 Ioniq 5 due to the CCS charger issues (to many CCS chargers are defective or plain out of service here in Canada) and my warranty experience on the defective fast DC Charging issue since new (did not work) that took Hyundai 7 months to fix. I was worried about the suspension being that I had the really excellent drive quality on the 2023 Ioniq 5 (still love that car) but after a fantastic delivery experience in Vancouver with a Fremont Build not a single issue and my first drive I was totally pleased with the suspension even coming from Ioniq 5, not quite the same but certainly very acceptable especially as I bought the car with the 19" wheels for a better ride and longer range than the 20" wheels. I believe that the interior will hold up better in the Model Y than the Ioniq 5 only as some of the materials on the Ioniq 5 appear to have less resistance to wear (they do look fantastic though), but the model Y appears to be more durable. I had the Grey interior on the Ioniq 5, and even with interior protection applied at purchase the cleanup was more difficult than my model Y untreated white seats. Love the channel and cannot wait for your purchase of a New generation Long Range Model Y AWD with the upgrades including Hardware 4 with the upgraded cameras, infotainment system and possible radar.
Audi acceleration is so bad compared to these model Y price ranges. On Audis you have to buy rs model to be fast as tesla . Rs models are 120k +
Mine came with the trunk cover and one of the first things I did is take it out. It just gets in the way.

I am a Huge Toyota fan never thought id give it up for a Tesla. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. A 2023 Model Y performance checks all needs and wants very satisfied. I have solar panel's in my house with a 50 amp charger and its just as fast as tesla's supercharger.
Love the new look. And I love mine but the one thing I feel they should add to notifications is when you have any sentry incidents. You don’t know till when you get back in the car. It should be a simple as a pop up like when you get the notifications that you door is left open. My be i just don’t know how to activate that option 😅

I loved my Model 3 as well. I sold it before the tax credits were back to hopefully get a little more money. Now i'm sorry I missed driving it so much, and missed out on playing around with FSD. If the final Cybertruck doesn't meet my expectations I'm gong to get a Model Y.
Why did you decide to remove the fullshade?
How much has all the ppf and wraps costs? I think you’ve gotten 1 matte ppf wrap, the pink wrap, and now the stech wrap? I’d like to get a wrap but believe it’s expensive.

Have you still not added the acceleration boost? It's definitely worth it in the long run.

The hertz by me has the model 3 for rent just $55 a day model Y for $60 so basically the same price as a Corolla I got a model 3 this week (somebody nabbed the model Y before I could get it) I got a really nice blue model 3 with only 6k miles on it so I was super happy with it!!!!
Shoot! My revivifier rented a RAV4 for a week at a HUNDRED bucks a day. a really boring charcoal base model, and Doc was so not happy with it...

I return my cars on time though...hertz just started carrying Teslas... dollar rental I usually get a basic Chevy spark for $50

Where did you get the replacement windshield at for $800. I got a Estimate from safelight and they want $2300 :(. Did you get the camera recalibrate?
I went with Tesla directly
Mine was $1,346 from Tesla after 3 months of trying to get Safelite to replace. Safelite was more but in both cases it was covered by my Insurance with 0 deductible. One problem I am having is after the windshield replacement I don’t have working climate controls and have to go back to get that fixed next week. Tesla didn’t recalibrate the camera it auto calibrated after 30 or so highway miles of driving.

Thank you for the videos, I really enjoy your contents. What do you think if you live in apartment and have to charge outside. Would you still a Tesla vs Lexus? I am think buying a 2024 Lexus Ux or maybe 2024 Lexus NX. I know the mark up in Orange County, California is more expensive than the Tesla. Your in put is tremendous help. I am leaning more the Lexus now because of range anxiety.

Pillar delete looks really out of place. I thought about it when i got my Model 3, but every time i look at it i have the same feeling that it just doesnt look right.
Tesla added referrals for cars again 2 weeks after I ordered a Model Y. SA would not add my friend’s referral code.

I been a fan of EVs since the early 80s when my mom bought me an electric police motorcycle for my 6th birthday. Been a model 3 fan since 2018 when I began to read about an affordable Tesla and all the amazing things the vehicle and company can do.
@@Elonmusk-dy4gp I drank the koolaid. Tesla solar is also the reason why I haven’t paid an electric bill since it was turned on and from January to May have a $-400 credit on my electric bill already this year.

Did you go to Tesla to get your windshield replace and also did you have a deductible for comprehensive or the insurance did not go through comprehensive deductible?
I’m in CA, had second thoughts about charging at home. Had a wall charger installed. Found out SCE has a discount rate for EV’s and couldn’t be happier with charging at home. Just wish the wife would let me drive the Y! 😕

@@svenstormbringer about it being worth it. My electric bill non summer months is between $225 and $275. After a full month of charging at home it only went up about $60. Way worth the weekend trips to Costco to fill up my wife’s car.

The wrap looks amazing!!! I have a new MY and I’m on the fence about the cargo cover, seems to get in the way a lot however it’s still in there.
Looks like the 3D premiere mats are not waterproof or easy to clean by the carpeted look. Have you tried a water or dirt test on them? I’m guessing that lots of water, mud or melting snow would be better off going for the original 3D mats.

Thanks for the video. Have a dark tint on my white model 3 and planning to try out a pillar delete similar to your model Y. But have decided not to add the two bits at the ends. The pillar already has natural termination edges front and back and it looks a bit fake and goofy to add those two extra bits.

Hey Ben... nice updates to the MY. I think you should wait until they do a refresh to the Y like they're doing with the 3 and buy then. Just my suggestion. On another note.... I know where you live is very hot and the glass roof must not help even though it's really tinted. Ask your friend doing the window tint about film that darkens with sunlight. Similar to the eyeglasses that darken when people go outdoors. I'm pretty sure they do make this sort of film. It would darken in sunlight and be totally transparent in the evening. Nice! It might be a great option instead of that roof shade which is nice but it does make the glass smaller with the border around it. Check it out and see if it is available. Again, keep up the great work. Carry on.
The self darkening would not work if installed on the inside. It requires ultraviolet light which gets blocked by glass.

Contemplating MY standard with 4680 cells. Don’t really think I need 330 mile range. Suggestions? Long range has 2170 cells correct? More proven?
If you can charge at home or work, 4680 model is plenty of range.

That degradation at only 55k miles is very worrying though. Musk rated the batteries to last uptill 300k miles. At this rate real world range won’t be much once you reach 100k miles
1500 cycles so 300-500k miles. As I said in the video it tapers off. I know people at 100k miles at 9% degradation
@@Gjeebs So your Battery won't degrade beyond 11%-13% up till 100k miles ? Still feels like a lot for some reason lol
Looking at indicated range on the dash is not a reliable means of assessing degradation, a lot of that number is just based on your prior efficiency record. I think Kyle Connor at out of spec measured his Model 3 at 100,000+ miles of constant road tripping and he was only at 7%~
