      From what I have read, it could be a programming issue. But I don’t have enough experience with DT12 transmissions.
      I would recommend to have someone plug in with the DDDL software and see if there is a way to possibly recalibrate or maybe reset the transmission using the software.
      Wish I could help you out more.

    when you drain and refill coolant, do you drain from radiator, and then refill at surge tank? how do you prevent air pockets from damaging components?

    • @CarlosDieselElectric
      @CarlosDieselElectric  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually drain at the radiator or depending on the job I drain at the block and the radiator. When I refill, I add at the surge tank, start the truck without the cap and allow it to run. Air will work its way out, then I add accordingly. Also, turn on the heater for the cab and sleeper while the truck is running. This will allow the coolant to run through the system, let the truck get to operating temperature and you should be fine.

      Depends on how bad the heater core is. But is can be a small leak or large. But if you have a leak on that side it most likely is the heater core and needs to be looked at or replaced.

    How long did it take to remove the air tube?would this explain a gallon a day loss

    • @CarlosDieselElectric
      @CarlosDieselElectric  ปีที่แล้ว

      One gallon a day is a lot. The heater core takes about 2-4 hours total. Between getting the part, removing the coolant and then start and finish.

      The coolant leak would affect heating, your AC condenser or evaporator would affect cooling. Have some check your system, could be the AC compressor, could be low on Freon?

    • @CarlosDieselElectric

      I would drain about 5-10 gallons of antifreeze. Since the heater sits up high, the amount of coolant isn’t too much.
