  • I ordered 2 sets of these antennas:
    www.banggood.com/2_4GHz-6dBi-...
    to improve range and allow Me to set antennas as I want on My Flysky FS-i6.
    I also uploaded firmware mod to allow Me to use all 10ch via IBUS and to do that I used TTL adapter like this one:
    www.banggood.com/FT232RL-FTDI...
    and uploaded firmware from this site
    github.com/benb0jangles/FlySk...
    This movie only show how I modify antennas because I already did upgrade firmware before.

    Thanks! This was a very carefully documented and tidy mod, that I'm sure works very good, giving you more control of antenna orientation.
    I'm wondering if you have considered or tried to use 2.4ghz circular polarized antennas with this mod, or maybe one dipole 5dbi with one 3-5 dbi cloverleaf antenna. I guess we would need to test with similary circular polarized antenna on aircraft. It is difficult to find 2.4ghz circularly polarized antennas, but I sure would like to see the results of this test. What about using a helical or yagi antenna connected to one of your SMA adapters for very long range applications?
    I am ordering new long 5dbi dipole antennas to do this mode on my FS-i6x Tx too. Good job! - Jim

    Hey, I'm assuming that you used the same 6dbi antenna on both the sma ports. Wouldn't it be better to have one 6dbi (or higher) and the other one 3dbi ( or lower)?

    • @Adrian202
      @Adrian202  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As far as I understand transmitter switch antennas when lose signal on one of theme.
      Mounting on antena weaker will force using that bigger so that will also work but not as good.
      Depending on model and how antena on receiver is set it's good to not set both antennas in same orientation because always one antena will have connection if model will rotate :)

      I think You can find cheaper ones on Aliexpress
      You can use any antenna from 2.4GHz WIFI
      Cable You can cut, shorter cables better but keep some spare in case of some future disassembly or modifications (shorter than 1 meter :D )
