    Great to see a video that shows how tricky this kind of work can be, no video edit missing the fiddly bits. Thank you!

    Spectacular. Such a relief for my apprehensions to see someone else do it first. I'm doing my Navarra Blue A8.

    Very helpful video. Didn't realize it was that easy.
    I'm looking to buy a Q5 with the Black Optics package, and I hate the black on black look. It's the only option for that package. I understand how some people want to black everything out, but I'd rmuch rather have the classic logo in chrome so it pops.
    I don't care as much about the rings in the back, but I'll check out that video too.

    What are the size for front and back ?

  • @will8470

    DO NOT use a metal mini screwdriver. Even with tape you will damage the side because is it to tight.
    What I did, start with the third middle ring. There are no clips so you have Some space to put a small plastic trim remover, than a thicker one. Work around to the right top to the clip. With some leverage you take this clip out. Once the right side is out the rest is easy.
    When you put on the new ring, sgueese top and bottom a little to put the middle bottom aan top clips in first and go to the end.

    Black with led

    • @tangentsdaily
      @tangentsdaily  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been checking out that LED kit and they have some really cool versions that do animations and all. My only hesitation is tapping it into the headlights as i do have the Matrix LED's and I wouldn't want to risk having those go ($3000+ to replace). If they had an independent controller with a remote on, I would be all in!

    Can anybody install me a fifth ring and paint all of those in the olympic colours?
    I need it urgently for showing all the others, that I am as stupid as I seem to be.
    And colouring of wind shield in gold would serve me to protect front flashes by police.
    Even in black it would be helpful.
    Thanks for all supports! 😂🤣😇😎 Don't laugh: I AM SERIOUS!!! 🤗😷😎

    • @tangentsdaily
      @tangentsdaily  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Günther -- you will not be able to add a fifth ring the front grill isn't designed for that. "Color the windshield" can be tint, and a local tinter can give you the multitude of color options. Lastly, you may not need to modify the car "to show all the others how stupid you seem to be". Sometimes just existing as you are is enough. Cheers!

    Worst instructional video. How to do it if you want to break the clips on the emblem. Why would you place all your crap on the hood as you work on the emblems. Huge open floor around you. Yet let's take a chance to scuff or scratch the hood. Great idea.

    • @tangentsdaily
      @tangentsdaily  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      First, thank you for watching and being here. While I know it could be frustrating that I broke a clip, I tend to figure stuff out as I go. And If I break something, I can afford to replace it. But you the viewer don't have to worry about breaking things or scratching your car with styrofoam -- because I showed you exactly how NOT to do it. So thank you again for stopping by, and leaving a comment!

      I have an Audi q7 2018 and ordered the black rings for front and back but not sure if black rings for front will look good since my grille has silver accents.

    • @tangentsdaily
      @tangentsdaily  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@denisev2110 I love both looks honestly. I see more modified S-lines rock the gloss and matte colors to match the black optics look. I tend to like the gloss black, an the LED version of the rings. (I just wish I didn't have to mess with my headlight wires to tap into them to activate the LED emblem).
