So yeah I really liked that video on you saving.& Fixing that machine for reasons like those.& Even self uses to. Cause you can make money mowing for places like that.& Much more to. Like I believe they have A back hoe attachments for them to.& Log milling.& Cutoff saws for logging with to.& Grappling claws. Major useful piece of equipment for sure being restored back to usable purposes.& possible needs in the future to come maybe to. For any type of reasons also. Hurricane clean ups.& Tornado clean ups.& Over growth clean ups to.
If you have a harbor Freight, get the Pneumatic Air Operated Fluid Extractor 57056. I use it on all my small engine oil changes. I had one of those electric pumps, but it took forever and finally burned itself out.
Get some some tireject,it will find any hole in the tire and help if you poke a hole in the trie. I recomend to replace all the fuel lines do the insides can degrade sitting and break down . Your making excellent progress.
Hey two suggestions to you on that machine you have there is. 1 I'd add in some zinc into the engine motor oil.& 2 I'd definitely add A fuel stop shutoff valve that way you can.& Will be able to save $600.00 in diesel fuel for it. And A extra thing is I would add in some WD-40 in the one gallon canister for keeping out.& Removing tank.& Fuel moisture build over time. It'll save you major time work wise.& Wallet wise to in the long run later on down the road to. That's old for sure. The forestry department uses those machines.,or use to that is for mowing.& Grounds cleaning up with. Inside& outside of the forests.& National state parks to.& Along the road ways.& Ditch lines all around those places to. Those machines are really good.& The golf courses use them to.& Some big camp grounds that aren't state parks just privately owned.& Operated to. A lot of farmers had.& May still have some of those operable still even today possibly.& Cattle ranchers.& Land management departments to.
Nice job! At least the engine & compartment is degreased, all ready for a good pressure wash. That faded paint should come back with a good rubbing compound & wax- take off years of oxidation. Maguire's Ultimate is awesome stuff. A shiny finish adds aesthetic value. I'm looking forward to more of this series!
You want to live in the UK, then you'll know what high fuel prices are, were currently at £2 a litre for diesel!! And Oil or Hydraulic Oil prices are, well even worse. Nice job and a good bit of kit, machines sound so much better after they have had a proper service, strange there was no fuel cut off, are you going to check with the manufacturer to see if one was fitted?
Fuel prices are crazy here too! I paid over $600 just in fluids and filters for this one! Diesel prices are down a bit, but were over $7/gallon not too long ago. I'm just going to add a fuel shutoff at some point.
I'd add on some solar charging 12&24-volts trailer panels for maintaining batteries on that machine to.& USB ports for phones.& Bluetooth equipment next.& CB radio/ weather band/ marine radio all in one.,or two separate ones.& A radio receiver for Bluetooth input for jamming while working to.
I’ve seen those deutz motors on other equipment. It’s a common problem with the fuel return lines blowing off. Look for a blockage in the return lines going to the tank return. Good deal on that $500 piece of equipment
After washing engine start engine when you going to mow wire brush the muffler andSpray paint the muffler with exhaust or bbq paint as you mow the paint will bake on
Tube them also should of sprayed soapy water onto the rim to see if it sealing if not napa carry rim seal coating sand bead area then reseat tire and if you going mowing I put all tire on for traction
Get some tire ject for all your tires the stuff is pretty pricey but works plus put it in your good tires and it wards of future flats I used to run it on our skid steers until we bought tracks when welding nuts on go straight at stud not a angle and use more than normal heat setting just a little tip a welder buddy showed me
Don't that model flail is used to chew on limbs. On the mower I ran had the same blades, and it was used to maintain nice and short grass. Limbs would bend the blades and leave strips of grass
That's were it's at no joke. That really is A useful piece of equipment. That was worth fixing up.& Saving to. Id add those features on it myself if I had no doubt about. You'll need short stops.& solenoids for that add on stuff is all. I'd put A extra meter guage for voltage.& Digital battery level display for both setups ran by toggle switches in A mini controller panel plate labeled.
Roof mounted solar panels it'll work.& Add on marine deep cycle batteries for fall.& Winter uses to. Then that should get ya just about all set for real. Put A springer folding antenna for your communications.&A regular antenna for radio receiver keep it simple.&still reliable to in the process of it all.
Just my opinion, I think 10 pumps of green slime in those tires would solve your problem and save some money. I love the tractor and awesome job bringing it back to life!
Might want to degrease the engine can you oven cleaner dawn dishwashing soap even engine degreaser then after you change the fluids touch up those areas A clean engine run Cooler😎
So you liked that idea huh man? Yeah it'll definitely help ya out especially now days even more. Due everything going up in price.& Hard to get as well to everyday anymore now. Especially this year alone cause from 2020 to now it's only gotten worse about everything in the world. If it's not one thing it's another right man. On just about everything here now to.& Including over seas shipments.& Shipping costs both ways also. It just never seems to end.,or stop right.
Pre filing a hydraulic oil filter that makes absolutely no sense cause the filter is on the return to tank side of oil I have never seen anyone bleed a hydraulic system individual cylinders or components with dead ends in the circuit Pre filling a filter is a big myth that stems from marine engines with filters that hold 2-3 gallons of oil can you show me in any manual from a manufacturer that says to pre fill the filter I ask every time I see someone do it
I called Power Trac and they were very clear about pre-filling and bleeding. They said it absolutely needed to be done. You might be right, but I followed the manufacturers instructions.
I don’t want you to think I’m a ass but I’m an old cat mechanic worked on everything from a log splitter to mining machines and every color and I have never seen or heard of this Maybe they’re afraid that you broke the seal on filter the oil siphoned back to tank through pump anyway kinda jealous of that find for 500 hell the tires and rims are worth that

Thank you! Yeah, I have been looking at other attachments for it. If I can find something I'll pick it up and post more videos. Thanks for watching!

One of the coolest pieces of equipment I’ve ever seen!
I was looking forward to a power wash!!
Sorry, I didn't get around to it in this video. :)
We ran those machines when I worked for the state. If the duels are on you can mow a 3 to 1 slope.
Great movie thanks.
Thanks for watching!
A long with some flashing safety's lights LEDs.& Strobe lights on top.& Spotlight mounted for nighttime usage to.
Get some some tireject,it will find any hole in the tire and help if you poke a hole in the trie. I recomend to replace all the fuel lines do the insides can degrade sitting and break down . Your making excellent progress.
Top machine! Thank you, greetings from The Netherlands.
Thank you for watching!
Those oil cooled Deutz engines are great! I love em.
Great video. Your lucky that was a great deal and a good piece of equipment. Have fun. And show us when you put it at work
Will do!

Next time you do tires put some grease around the bead area on both the tire and rim will help it seat better and faster
Deal of the century on that sweet rig. Congrats

Looks great Paul! I can't wait to see the restoration 🙌🏼
Thanks!!
Go with the green tire goop I have some holes and big dry rotten tires still hold air years later love that stuff don't need much
Subscribed. Great deal on that machine and good job getting it running. I bet you get some subscribers off this series.
Thanks 👍
Hope you get it working to the Max
Thanks for watching!

Great videos keep them coming
Thanks, will do!

Diesel Creek on TH-cam recently showed one of these with the Mother Of All Leaf Blowers mounted on the front...
Plexiglass doors.& Source for heat inside cab use to.& Fan for spring &'summer time to.
If your tires aren't dry rotted, you should be able to put tubes in them and still get a lot of use of them.
Good point!
You can even dry rotted
Get some tire ject for all your tires the stuff is pretty pricey but works plus put it in your good tires and it wards of future flats I used to run it on our skid steers until we bought tracks when welding nuts on go straight at stud not a angle and use more than normal heat setting just a little tip a welder buddy showed me
Don't that model flail is used to chew on limbs. On the mower I ran had the same blades, and it was used to maintain nice and short grass. Limbs would bend the blades and leave strips of grass
Cause you can get A/DC converter for other types of equipment charging purposes to if.& When needed onboard traveling.& Locally to.

Put a cable tie on to make sure the fuel pipe doesn't come off again 👍
That's incredible that you found that for $500. List price for all that was probably $40,000. After a year, how do you like it?
Sweet......
Be safe. Please.
You might want to put some liquid soap on the bead and on the rim to make sure that it doesn't go flat again. Pro tire installers do this.
Thanks for the tip!
Flail mowers usually require high flow hydraulics, it didn’t appear that it was turning very fast.
Put some wheelbearing grease on the rims to help the beed seal
Might want to degrease the engine can you oven cleaner dawn dishwashing soap even engine degreaser then after you change the fluids touch up those areas A clean engine run Cooler😎
Straighten the hood (engine cover)a bit as it looks odd from the rear.👌
Use soapy water for lube on the tires next time...
Put slime in those tires
Get a 1/4" ball valve inline
So you liked that idea huh man? Yeah it'll definitely help ya out especially now days even more. Due everything going up in price.& Hard to get as well to everyday anymore now. Now what you going to do with it get some grass growing
How much would you sell that for ?
If you paid 500 for it you got a deal
Get some big zip ties to put the line together not to. Get in the way of f it ts operation
tire plug

Light bars.
You paid 500 ,ill give you 1500 the way it is right now ?
That gets A thumbs up to.👍👍🖌️🤳🔐🧠🏠🔥🛢️🪛💰🌀🐪🪵🚜🍒😃
