  • The time has come to install our T28 turbo on our D15b7 for our budget EG civic build! This also works for the D16 motor. This thing is starting to look SO good. I cannot WAIT to drop it into the engine bay. Enjoy!

I think the nubs on the manifold are for you to drill out and tap to put a heat shield over the manifold

How good does that turbo look! Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to see throughout the build process 😁.

Would be nice to see ..A built motor. Not just a painted motor.. gearbox.. driveline.. computer... No point having a shop just to paint used engines.

@@dannyalmeida1015 This is a budget build homie! All of that $$ is going into the built motor for the drift car haha. This is all about seeing what the average joe can do with a stock motor.

I run that same turbo on my d16 with no oil restrictor and it doesn't smoke at all but the internal wastegate spring was too stiff and had to weld the flapper shut and switch to an external wastegate to make the 10psi I wanted as the internal one was spiking way past that and hitting fuel/boost cut. Also forget about the apexi piggyback its a honda you can just run a chipped obd1 honda ecu like a p28 or p06 and tune it with free tuning software like crome or honda tuning suite we do this all the time where im from. There has to be someone in Australia who can chip and tune stock honda ecu's and not just recommend switching to haltech lol.

Hi bro, that cast manifold is a copy of an old school Greddy turbo manifold designed to keep AC, but the Greddy one also hand a cast downpipe, the nubs were for a heat sheld, Im running the same one, they decent.

Different engines run different oil pressures. The restrictor just makes sure that engines with higher oil pressure don’t push too much oil through the turbo, potentially blowing the seals in which case youd get a lot of smoke out the exhaust

Só where is the result? Want see how much HP you can do with it and the curve. They say it spools fine for d15. I have a modified d15 but still t28 should be good

Have you considered doing a A D16Z6 Head Swap to the D15B7? Also what transmission will you use for the swap a Y8 Transmission? I Love this Build ,Honda Hatches are Beautiful When Built Proper and yours is already showing its beautiful side. Keep up the great work!
