Kao Eclipse Scholar version was my introduction to the Souls series, so I have very strong memories for DS2. I had no idea what to do, where to go, what any of it meant. It was so threatening and mysterious! Also, the DLCs were some of the most punishing experiences I've ever had.

Always loved Dark Souls 2. Only loved every other game in the Soulsborne series higher. Not bad being the worst in my favourite series, and does not mean that I still does not love it and have played and replayed it multiple times. And yes I agree 100% Dark Souls 2 get unfair amounts of hate it is not a bad game, and it does some things right that other Souls games does not as good.

I actually enjoyed dark souls 2 the most because of how balanced and diverse the pvp was, I recently went back to find it still active and mostly do that because i was sick of fighting carthus curved swords and other troll builds that "work as intended"
Armor Of Thorns Honestly a broken parrying dagger with a character that doesn't meet the stat requirements therefore having 14 ar is my favorite weapon.
Twin Princes' Greatsword, Lifehunt Scythe, Holy Moonlight Sword, Dragonslayer Spear, and Old Wolf Curved Sword. Those are the coolest weapons in my opinion. Honourable mention: Whirligig Saw, Boom Hammer, and Friede's Great Scythe.
you know, dark souls 2 gets a lot of shit when it comes to PvE, and fair enough, its by far the easiest of the souls games, especially in terms of vanilla bosses, but DAMN did it have some awesome weapons and weapon combinations. power stance dual wielding really is one of the coolest things they've ever done in the series. I think its time to replay dark souls 2 and try some fun weapon combinations. I'm thinking power stancing both smelter swords, or power stancing the bluemoon and moonlight greatsword.
@@VaultNightmare bloodborne is just really bad. It has way too aggressive enemies, not many weapon choices, shitty inventory, bad pvp, and chalice dungeons are boring.
All of the DS2 great and Ultragreat swords had something special about them. Dark crypt blacksword for the ultimate purple popsicle experience was my favourite, although Raime's longsword/UGS combo was sexy as hell too.
I gotta say that the moonlight greatsword is a remarkable weapon, but my favorite will always be Majestic Greatsword/ Abbys Greatsword/ Wolfknight Greatsword XD

Bloodborne's holy moonlight sword is without a doubt my favorite weapon in the series. They took an already fantastic weapon, tied it to one of the best bosses in the series, and just made it a bloodborne weapon which makes it automatically better. It also has the best aesthetic, where it looks almost like the moonlight is swimming around in the sword instead of just being solid, and having the untricked version gives it excellent flavor.
You're lucky PvPSkillz, you get your belated like for including the Dragon Greatsword from Dark Souls 1. Started another playthrough recently, got the weapon and went ham on the bosses, made me enjoy heavy weapon builds.

In my opinion weapon arts was a mistake. When so many weapons are super flashy and whatever it's hard to find one that's actually unique. Also there isn't many weapon arts that are actually good.
Meme Machine Nah, if you don't like them you can just not use them. All of my favorite weapons have awesome weapon arts. To name a few: corvian dagger, brigand Twindaggers, onikiri ubadachi, almost all spears, almost all greatswords. Weapon arts add a new layer of depth into PvP, but in pve they are pretty useless.
Please, Weapon Arts are quite literally R2s but on a different button. It allows all the attacks of a weapon but when you want to you can use WA, Pretty much all Black Knight weapons in 1 had horrible R2's. Not only that you no longer need to spam Repair Powder on it all the time. There's an actual balance so you can't spam it. Every WA can almost be good somehow, Stomp for punishing spinny weaponarts, shieldsplitter for spacing/shield breakage, Stance for getting through big weapons, etc. Weapon Arts are just R2 but on a different button, when will people understand? And there is unique WA's on some weapons, not all of them, some have variations but I agree... they need to mix&match more with the weapon art system

Favourite has to be the Dragon Tooth. DS1 and DS2 gave it pancaking R2 which were hilarious and there's something so genius about beating someone to death with the giant tooth of a dragon. It's such a great addition to let the player make or obtain boss weapons, it's so cool to be able to use the very same tool you've been pummelled with on end.
I like how you give a weapon and then its alternative. Cool way of showing them off!
