I'm doing a Int/dex build it's at 34 int and 20 dex right now should I use the Heysel Pick or what I normally just end up using a dark hand sorcerer staff combo. I have 12 str not planning on raising that 10 faith was thinking of boosting that at least to 12 so maybe candlestick.
@@crescentwolf7072 no....that was just lightning infused. He means a bow that also allows you to use spells as well. Like you can shoot arrows, and then cast a spell as two seperate moves

Best pure Intelligence weapon: Moonlight Greatsword Best hybrid Intelligence weapon: Greatsword of Judgement Best PvP Intelligence weapon: Heysel's Pick My personal choice: Immolation Tinder. It's the only weapon that can cast Sorceries while also using a weapon art that's actually a different element (and a useful one for PvE enemies and for PvP in terms of follow-ups and/or fake-outs). Plus, it has good range and can take advantage of that with Farron Flashsword or the other "Greatsword" spells. The damage does not even suck!
I agree with you, I have tried it before and it wasn't bad. Sadly it has almost no hyperArmor comparing to other halberds.. and this is the only downside to it in my humble opinion however, I think that Heysel's pick could do better in PVP especially if it's a melee-focused builds
You need to be careful with farron flashsword on the immolation tinder. You can easily hit an enemy with the staff of the weapon, and not the blade, and do like, 17 damage... if you're lucky
for faith weapons I would say crucifix of the mad king no dex requirement and both Dark and physical damage scale best of faith rather than strength combined with dark blade and this weapon is almost unbeatable
While I understand why people buff that stupid weapon with dark blade I've found it's overkill in the arena. You can literally kill people in 3 hits. I've tried it myself and with the correct stat spread you don't even need the buff. It still does very good damage. But who am I kidding. People love excess in this game. Anything that can earn them a win faster. Easier.
correction - the moonlight greatsword has been in the game since demon souls ( found in the valley of defilement ) although in Demon souls , it didn't have that magic effect but was still great

costco yeah, sorcery used to be much more fun on ds 2 compared to the 3rd man but I have fun with a faith build... Also with the recent discovery of heysel pick I am more satisfied with this kind of build than the boring homing soulmass, affinity and crystal soul spear spam

I adore the crescent moon sword. It is my favorite weapon for sorcerer builds. It's rare to see and extremely fast. Honestly it could be used as a main if you know what you are doing

There are two kinds of Faith builds, War Clerics and Buff Builds. The former generally relies on no buffs (or regen at most) and uses a one handed weapon to always keep their talisman handy. The latter use their talisman or Chime much more infrequently, and instead use buffs to draw out the full potential of their weapons. For War Clerics, the best weapons are ones that don't require buffs or can't be buffed. Weapons like the Lightning Longsword, Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword, Blessed Drakeblood Greatsword, and Lightning Partizan are all amazing. For Buff builds, the best weapon IMO is the Crucifix of the Mad King by a long shot, but some other weapons work as well. The Saint's Bident is great, Drakeblood again is pretty good, Sunlight Straight Sword is still alright, and there's more weapons, but I'd say it's all mediocre from there (Dragonslayer Axe is trash even with lightning blade, and don't let anyone tell your otherwise).
TheQuestionable Yarnball Lightning Infused Saint Bident works well for casting oriented Clerics too. Also Lightning War Banner is worth a look. Less AR but the WA buffs miracle damage as well as melee damage.
That's why you just go raw with the Axe. Cast lightning storm with a canvas talisman with WA, they come in for damage, you zap them and get two free hits in. It's not a foolproof combo, but if they're dumb enough to roll into you or close enough to your left they get hit with the axe's backswing too. Not the best (especially compared to the Crucifix of the Mad King), but definitely not trash.

Just a small note about hybrid builds. There's a catalyst that allows to deal very decent damage with only 40 Int - it's Murky Longstaff. Sure, it narrows your spell selection to Dark spells only, but still it's pretty good option for 40 Int builds.
You know what is really OP for an int build? Your video!! Was looking for tips that would help me to get rid of longsword and Moonlight greatsword. I found it. Nice vid dude! Agree with your conclusion, though I'm personally more a fan of the crescent moon blade (it's a curved sword, always top tier no matter what). I fail to see how 'originality' has anything to do with a weapons effectiveness, so kind of in the dark how moonlight trumps a straightsword but it's secondary. Best faith weapons: -lightning infused lothric knight sword. Allows you to offhand a talisman or something and spam lightning arrows and then punish rolls/runarounds with the straightsword. This one actually allows for a viable miracle build that does not just wack. -Crucifix of the mad king. Beast damage, especially when buffed with dark blade. A problem would be that it is best used two handed, so no easy casting on the side. -Lothric knight greatsword (blessed infused). At 60faith 2handed, it'll have 700 AR as well as regen. Now this thing is best used two handed, so no casting options, and even then it's moveset is lackluster (easy to roll around and backstab). For this one, it'd work best if you went full passive regen build. This allows you to recover, and it will often make your foes overaly agressive (as regen triggers a lot of people). Its these mistakes that you can capitalize on, and with a 700AR monster, you only need one or two mistakes. So not a great standalone weapon, but can be made to work quite well. Things like the sunlight straightsword, wolnir's holy sword, the dragonslayer (sword)spear and greataxe/axe are more so hybrid builds. While effective overall in damage (average of 400something when 2handed) the only one I would consider any good is the axe, as it allows you to effectively one hand and cast at the same time. Still lackluster compared to the options above.
Vow of Silence is terrible. Unlike the Dark Souls 2 counterpart it's really short and easy to wait out. My mage has under 30% equip load so good luck catching me 1v1..
Against a sorcerer who knows what he/she/it is doing, Vow of Silence will fail to stop them. However, they will need to scramble more than they originally thought they would.
LordFhalkyn: My crystal infused longsword has an AR of 513 and even with the split damage and my poor defense I can kill a lot of people pretty easily. People really underestimate mages and assume they're absolute shit when they draw their backup melee weapon. That being said, Vow of Silence is perfectly fine in my view. In Dark Souls 2 Profound Still was such bullshit it made me wish I had a spell to negate all physical attacks. Wasn't a problem when I became a Havelmage back in the days before the agape ring however.. hehehe. Boy do I miss Soul Memory..
I understand, and I have died more than once to a silenced sorcerer. To the well prepared mage, Vow of Silence is only a bump in the road. It's happened enough times that when they pull out their backup weapon, I don't think "Wow, this'll be easy!" I think "What does this guy know that I don't?" 4 times out of 5, though, Vow of Silence puts the odds against a sorcerer in my favor. It helped me beat the Soul of Cinder; dropped during the sorcery phase, it was rendered completely helpless.
The Greatsword of judgment and immolation tinder are beyond underrated in my opinion. The greatsword of judgment has beastly amount of damage and it has a simaler projectile attack as the MGS, While the immolation tinder is a spellcasting Halbert which makes it pretty damn versitile when people gimp your spell use. But this is coming from me and I'm a hybrid magic user who focuses on fighting head on.
5:31 dunno if it got nerfed, but on soulsplanner at base req + 60 int the MLGS only has 130 phys dmg (instead of 135) + 441 magic dmg for 571/572 AR, not 577
I find the best part of magic weapons and such is the fact that not alot of armors have any good defense against magic damage, making magic even more powerful.
For faith... My picks would have to be Sunlight Sunlight Straight Sword for buffing, Lightning Saint Bident for lightning infusion, Blessed Dragonslayer's Axe or Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword for blessed (requirements can be a bit prohibitive for the latter) and Golden Ritual Spear for miracle/magic/melee flexibility. One normally wants to have one's preferred talisman off-hand to make use of the weapon art.
Don't forget about the dragonslayer axe for faith weapons. It is quick, has high damage when buffed with lightning blade and you can go lightning, raw, or refined depending on build preference. It is even solid when used in the off hand, slap on a resin when two handed and you have a fast l2 attack to cover a slow main hand weapon if casting isn't a priority.
For pure sorcery, the scholar's candlestick is the best. Buffs your spells by 12.5%. Wield it in your right hand and your staff in your left so you can use the staff's buff. This is ofc if you're only sticking to spellcasting.

Crystal Lothric Sword actually does have some advantages over the Crystal Longsword that weren't stated in this video-- namely, superior reach, and superior critical modifier (in that it has a critical modifier). The thrust of the lothric sword's strong attack has a surprising amount of range for a straight sword, and when equipping a super light parry shield (which you can equip anyway if you can equip the lothric sword) you can make good use of its critical modifier. I vastly prefer it over the regular longsword for 60+ int builds.
HeyItsTerence yes, but its the shortest spear in the game (barely the length of a raiper) and you have to invest in faith, which it scales with it kinda works on a dark build, but only kinda
Im not saying its a good weapon, but its a magic weapon that casts sorcery too. He'll probably mention it in the video for faith weapons/builds, but its not for dark builds; its a battlemage weapon exaclty like Heysel pick, but instead of leveling int and str, you need faith (for the scaling) and some int (just to match the requirements of sorcerys you want, and you probably just need int to 25 if you plan a sl 125 build)
ahh but if you pair it with two really common sorceries, farron flashsword and Old moonlight/soul greatsword, you now have 3 ranges, 3 different speeds of attacks and a metric ass ton of combo potential, possibly more than sellsword or drang spears
My personal favorite faith weapon is the Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword, since it has rather low requirements for being an ultra greatsword, and benefits from the faith scaling into both the Physical and Lightning damage. You can take advantage of poise with it as well. My favorite Hybrid faith weapon is the Ariandel Rose, because it casts miracles, has a near-essential weapon art that buffs miracles, and has hyperarmor for some reason. At +5 it gives a C in Strength which really just helps it along, but it also gets an A in faith into Physical damage, which really just helps it even more.
I love the immolation tinder, been using it before any DLC was out, the possibilities are so high cause you can add so many different spells, my favorite part was R1, R1 and then great magic sword to roll catch, that shit was so good !
For Faith builds. Maybe not the best, but my personal favorite is the Follower Saber buffed with Darkmoon Blade. Huge damage ouput, fantastic weapon art that both server to roll chase and shield break opponents, as well as having the super fast moveset of a curved sword.
For high level faith weapons, in a hybrid build (40dex 60faith) I'll say Lothric Knight Greatsword.. Sharp or Blessed. Sharp: Due to the last updates, if you infuse it with sharp you get astounding damage (663), split between physical and lighting.. but you can put sunlight blade on it. On a weapon with natural high lightning damage. Blessed: For some ungodly reason, blessed infusion acts weird on weapons with natural lightning damage, making it's faith scaling add to both your physical AND your lightning damage. So, if you make it blessed, you get a weapon with natural 757 damage. With health regen. Without needing a buff and running the danger of your opponent throwing a duel charm at you. A 40dex/60faith build also lets you use stuff like a sharp saint bident buffed with DMB/SB, or the dragonslayer swordspear, which has all the right moves of spears and halberds with a neat little self buff. However, it's hard to fight against the Crucifix.
My personal fav. weapon for faith is a Lightning/Blessed infused Lothric War Banner. Reason 1: Lightning+10 = 95 physical + 130 lightning with A in faith / Blessed +10 = 130 physical with S in Faith (no split!) Reason 2: As long as you keep it out (don't 2 hand the talisman in the other hand/swap the spear away) Its buff of 15% AR will stay with you, and effect both the spear and your spells for 2 min. (long enough for most 1v1 pvp fights) Reason 3: LOW requirements make it a perfect weapon on nearly ANYTHING you want to use it on (14 str. / 14 dex) Reason 4: if nothing else, that buff animation looks cool as hell! Reason 5: if you are doing team fights, the buff of the spear will effect your ally(s) as well, making it valuable to them as well as yourself.
hi pvpskillz. first of all great vids! now to the main topic: i used a faith build for a long time and i had the most fun using a lightning infused scimitar (only required str+dex stats) and on offhand the sunlight talisman (on a 150 build 40/40/40 on vig,att and end and 60 on faith). its an aggressive faith playstyle and using lightning arrow+talisman weaponart on mid-close combat and following up with quick scimitar light attacks can get 400-600 dmg greetings edit: and you are not dependent on buffs!

*Blessed Lothric War Banner* Blessed infused Lothric War Banner is one of my go to weapons on my faith build. Super high range is unfortunately coupled with bad tracking. However you can stack the weapon art with Sacred Oath and get some pretty high damage from it. The Blessed infusion also gives a small health regen factor which can be stacked with a blessed offhand shield/ weapon and the Sun Princess ring for some handy regen without using a spell slot. The weapon art also provides an aoe AR boost for allies which is nice when in team battles. Overall it's a pretty solid choice for a faith weapon. Stylish, large range , good damage and useful in team battles. The stat requirements aren't too bad either. It's only downsides are the awful tracking and boring moveset.
For faith builds, I'm a fan of the Winged Spear. When Lightning infused, it has S scaling in Faith, has low requirements of only 12 STR and 15 DEX, and is pretty light too. It is a spear, so it is great for PvE and outspacing enemies, and in PvP is very good for trading and outspacing hits. Finally, the weapon art hits hard and with lightning damage, can be fantastic under proper circumstances.
On my opinion the best Faith weapon is the Blessed Infused Drakeblood GS,it has HA,the Hollowslayer moveset,so it's spam friendly,it is the lightest greatsword,and has great damage overall.I never deal less than 320 with a 2H R1
For a FTH weapon I love to use raw Drakeblood greatsword with Darkmoon Blade. It tears through everything with its high magic dmg and gives tons of hyperarmor with the Hollowslayer moveset. If I'm not mistaken it costs the lowest starmina to swing out of all the greatswords and weighs nothing. Its moveset is probably the best out of all greatswords and it has a decent reach. If it weren't used with a FTH build, it wouldn't be that good because of the 3 elements split dmg. An alternative is to use a Blessed infusion on it, it makes it less vulnerable to duel charms, but it does considerably less damage.
I would pick the Sunlight Straight Sword as the best faith weapon thanks to the latest patches. It's true that it got nerferd recently but I did not see that much difference. It's fast, no split damage, buffable and with a unique w.a. that boosts both your defences and AR. Lots of honorable mentions: Lothric Knight Greatsword (on a 24/16/60 build it has 696 AR with blessed infusion, though i prefer heavy infusion and lightning blade on it), Dragonslayer's Axe, Dragonslayer Swordspear and Wolnir's Holy Sword. EDIT: another honorable mention is the Crucifix of the Mad King. Awesome weapon
Buffables: Saint's Bident is a very good weapon for my faith build. Also Dragonslayer's Axe and Lothric Knight Greatsword have devastating damage when buffed with Lightning Blade. Infusables: Lightning Lothric Knight's Sword and Lightning Lucerne. Lothric Knight's Sword has high damage and it's easy to use while Lucerne gets nice attack power aswell, especially when you combine it with Leo Ring and counter hits. Boss Soul Weapons: Lothric's Holy Sword for finishing in PvP. Dragonslayer Spear is quite usable and Dragonslayer Swordspear is not bad either.
Probably one of my favorite faith weapons is the rose of ariandel since it combos so nicely with lightning stake and you can pop out a lightning arrow or sunlight spear when you need the range for quick damage which also makes up for the shit range on the weapon alone. Also the weapon art despite it hurting you lets you do INSANE damage for the miracles so have it with bountiful light as well or blessed caestus. Run it with sage +2, morne ring, ring of the first born, and (optional wolf ring +3 or chloranty ring +3) you're going to have fun with a 60 faith build.
I think one of the best Faith weapons would be the Sunlight Straight Sword but mostly for PVE. It has pretty good scaling with Faith (B when fully upgraded) and it has Sacred oath as its weapon art which saves you two entire attunement slots and on top of that its a straight sword which is awesome. I personally love this weapon as im a Co-oper and its just great to have more attunement slots for something like projected heal or lightning arrow and this also just gives you more points to spend on other stats like Vigor or even more Faith if you really wanted to have a good Faith weapon and Sacred Oath like I did.
I know it's something that almost every build uses, but Blessed Caestus is even better on a faith build since it deals surprisingly respectable damage after the buff they gave to blessed infusion scaling. It's also the perfect compliment to the Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword (another great faith weapon) with it's super fast attacks. On top of that it can completely shut down big weapons like the Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords since it's the fastest swinging weapon with perseverance. The Drakeblood Greatsword is also pretty good for faith builds. It's lightwight, low on stamina cost, has a versatile moveset, and can have a physical infusion with lightning blade or darkmoon blade buff for beefy damage, or a blessed infusion for less damage (still 600 AR with 18/16/60) and HP regen. Then there's the Crucifix. It does way too much damage. And its moveset is great. And its weapon art is great.
I guess that "Best Faith Weapon" video will never arrive, but whatever. I think it's a toss-up between the Sunlight Straight Sword (scales with Faith and can be buffed by miracles, essentially letting it benefit from your faith stat twice) and the Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword, which is an absolute monster as the Blessed infusion makes both the physical and the lightning portion of the weapon scale with faith. One could also consider the Crucifix of the Mad King, but honestly I don't like randomness. When I hit a button I want to know beforehand what happens. My secret tip is the Lightning Corvian Scythe. Enormous damage, way too fast swings and bleed on top.
These would by the main weapons I'd consider best on a Faith build. - Saint Bident (500 AR w/ Lightning infusion + being one of the game's longest spears, also works great with strength/faith or dex/faith builds when infused heavy or sharp and spell-buffed) - Dragonslayer's Axe (480-ish AR when Raw + the benefit of a 60 Faith Lightning Blade buff puts it over 700 AR. It's also good with Blessed infusion since it gets 500+ AR and regens health.) - Lothric Knight Greatsword (An absolute beast on a Blessed infusion with over 700+ AR, though the weapon requirements are very high to compensate. It's also monstrous with a physical infusion + a Lightning Blade buff.) - Sunlight Straight Sword (Its initial damage looks bad on a pure Faith build ever since they toned down the strength/dex scaling, but it's still buffable with Darkmoon/Lightning Blade, and it's still a straight sword with very low requirements + a free Sacred Oath buff for the weapon art.) - Crucifix of the Mad King (Obviously lends itself to more of a strength/faith build, but it's still a halberd that can achieve almost 800 AR easily with Dark Weapon while also having one of the best halberd movesets in the game.) - Wolnir's Holy Sword (Aside from the nigh-unusable weapon art, the length and low weight of this thing is pretty neat for Strength/Faith builds. Nothing amazing, but pretty solid and worth mentioning IMO.) My personal favorite for pure Faith is the Saint Bident for its reach, low requirements, and damage. The king of hybrids has to be the Crucifix for the sheer dark damage and amazing moveset. Also, shout-out to Yorshka's Spear for From buffing it at least three times, the last of which finally giving it Faith scaling, and yet still being garbage.
If I had to pick my favorite faith weapon, it would probably be the Lothric Knight Greatsword, because with the blessed enchantment you get a B scaling in Faith with a C in both Strength and Dexterity. Also with the blessed enchantment it adds a scaling to that base lightning damage the sword already has while giving you hp regen as well.
I would honestly recommend the crescent axe with either the lightning or blessed infusion. Since it has the war cry weapon art it makes it useless for weapon buff builds any way. Its stat requirements and weight are relatively low which allows for stat investment to be focused on faith and attunement. Its damage and range are adequate, but it really shines in its moveset especially with war cry active. Damage increases and you get rid of the terrible 2 handed R2 halberd spin attack. This is my recommendation for a very nice faith weapon.
O&I have a high Dex requirement, but that Dex synergises with Sorcery by speeding Casting time, and you don't Have to dual wield it. You can have the Immolation Tinder in the other hand, and still Running Poke with Onikiri alone. (I assume Obidashi is the Wakisashi.) If you don't want the ONE best weapon, I'd consider this the best Weapon System, because once you run out of FP, you can 2H the Halberd, or dual wield the Dai Sho, and keep fighting. (Without either Weapon Arts.)

Moonlight greatsword is what I use. Magic clutch ring and crown of dusk. I love how these items buff the damage unlike in ds1. And my secondary is the Heysel pick.
A small but fairly comprehensive list of some good alternative FAI weapons: - Dragonslayers greataxe: when partnered with high STR this has easily one of the top AR's in the game - Mornes GH - similar to the dga above, this has great damage, though for this you need only meet the base requirements, and can also be gotten early on. - Golden ritual spear - a FAI scaling magic damage dealing sorcery catalyst spear combo, with okay damage. This spear can only be used on fairly unique builds - Millwood battle axe - Lightning infuse this for a good time with stupid ar for its weight. This thing is also a beast for all other types of elemental infusions, especially for high FAI INT builds - Lothric knight ugs/Dragonslayer axe/Drakeblood gs - These i'll lump together and say, you don't have to buff or infuse them with lightning but try with blessed because for some reason they shall scale better. thanks from soft
So if I would want to use the Friedes scythe, should I go for 40int/40dex? Also what staff would be good to use for such build, cause I'd still like to use spells.
Bois, if you go for the straight sword build it's better if you make it a sharpened, refined, raw or heavy blade (depending on the stat) instead of a cristal one, that way you could also buff it with cristal weapon, the damage of the thing is sublime for a straight sword
He talks about how the Heysel Pick is a hybrid weapon, but makes no mention of the Golden Ritual Spear, a spear that can also cast sorceries and is much like the Heysel Pick but in a spear form. Kind of surprised actually
Lothric Greatsword with lightning blade and other buffs such as deep protection is one of the highest damaging weapons in the game. It has very respectable scalings with every physical enchantment so it is easily adaptable to any kind of melee build. Tho infusing it with lightning is not recommended due to the fact that you get higher overall damage with physical infusions and the buffs. And sadly you cannot buff most of the weapons in the game that has integrated elemental damage. That goes for this one. And since it is a greatsword and has a stomp weapon art, it will ensure that you can tank groups of enemies and hyper armor your way through them. With heavy armor complemented with healing miracles will create an outstanding tank build, and as a result an ideal sunbro weapon.
It's nice to see the Heysel Pick get some love! :D Thanks to recent patches there's so many good Faith weapons to choose from. My personal favourite to pair with miracles is the Drakeblood GS. Heavy infused + buffed for crazy burst damage or Blessed infused for slightly less damage but no need to buff :) Low stamina consumption and hyper armor with the only downside being its range. Also consider Lightning Saint Bident. It's arguably one of the best spears in the game now with solid AR and amazing range. For pure Melee, the Crucifix of the Mad King wins hands down but doesn't synergise well with casting.

I'm doing a Int/dex build it's at 34 int and 20 dex right now should I use the Heysel Pick or what I normally just end up using a dark hand sorcerer staff combo. I have 12 str not planning on raising that 10 faith was thinking of boosting that at least to 12 so maybe candlestick.

My personal choice: Immolation Tinder.
It's the only weapon that can cast Sorceries while also using a weapon art that's actually a different element (and a useful one for PvE enemies and for PvP in terms of follow-ups and/or fake-outs). Plus, it has good range and can take advantage of that with Farron Flashsword or the other "Greatsword" spells. The damage does not even suck!
I agree with you, I have tried it before and it wasn't bad. Sadly it has almost no hyperArmor comparing to other halberds..
and this is the only downside to it in my humble opinion
however, I think that Heysel's pick could do better in PVP especially if it's a melee-focused builds

You need to be careful with farron flashsword on the immolation tinder. You can easily hit an enemy with the staff of the weapon, and not the blade, and do like, 17 damage... if you're lucky

for faith weapons I would say crucifix of the mad king no dex requirement and both Dark and physical damage scale best of faith rather than strength combined with dark blade and this weapon is almost unbeatable

While I understand why people buff that stupid weapon with dark blade I've found it's overkill in the arena. You can literally kill people in 3 hits. I've tried it myself and with the correct stat spread you don't even need the buff. It still does very good damage. But who am I kidding. People love excess in this game. I adore the crescent moon sword. It is my favorite weapon for sorcerer builds. It's rare to see and extremely fast. Honestly it could be used as a main if you know what you are doing

There are two kinds of Faith builds, War Clerics and Buff Builds. The former generally relies on no buffs (or regen at most) and uses a one handed weapon to always keep their talisman handy. The latter use their talisman or Chime much more infrequently, and instead use buffs to draw out the full potential of their weapons.
For War Clerics, the best weapons are ones that don't require buffs or can't be buffed. Weapons like the Lightning Longsword, Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword, Blessed Drakeblood Greatsword, and Lightning Partizan are all amazing.
For Buff builds, the best weapon IMO is the Crucifix of the Mad King by a long shot, but some other weapons work as well. The Saint's Bident is great, Drakeblood again is pretty good, Sunlight Straight Sword is still alright, and there's more weapons, but I'd say it's all mediocre from there (Dragonslayer Axe is trash even with lightning blade, and don't let anyone tell your otherwise).

TheQuestionable Yarnball Lightning Infused Saint Bident works well for casting oriented Clerics too. Also Lightning War Banner is worth a look. Less AR but the WA buffs miracle damage as well as melee damage.
That's why you just go raw with the Axe. Cast lightning storm with a canvas talisman with WA, they come in for damage, you zap them and get two free hits in. It's not a foolproof combo, but if they're dumb enough to roll into you or close enough to your left they get hit with the axe's backswing too. Not the best (especially compared to the Crucifix of the Mad King), but definitely not trash.

Just a small note about hybrid builds. There's a catalyst that allows to deal very decent damage with only 40 Int - it's Murky Longstaff. Sure, it narrows your spell selection to Dark spells only, but still it's pretty good option for 40 Int builds.

Nice vid dude! Agree with your conclusion, though I'm personally more a fan of the crescent moon blade (it's a curved sword, always top tier no matter what). I fail to see how 'originality' has anything to do with a weapons effectiveness, so kind of in the dark how moonlight trumps a straightsword but it's secondary.
Best faith weapons: -lightning infused lothric knight sword. Allows you to offhand a talisman or something and spam lightning arrows and then punish rolls/runarounds with the straightsword. This one actually allows for a viable miracle build that does not just wack.
-Crucifix of the mad king. Beast damage, especially when buffed with dark blade. A problem would be that it is best used two handed, so no easy casting on the side.
-Lothric knight greatsword (blessed infused). At 60faith 2handed, it'll have 700 AR as well as regen. Now this thing is best used two handed, so no casting options, and even then it's moveset is lackluster (easy to roll around and backstab). For this one, it'd work best if you went full passive regen build. This allows you to recover, and it will often make your foes overaly agressive (as regen triggers a lot of people). Its these mistakes that you can capitalize on, and with a 700AR monster, you only need one or two mistakes. So not a great standalone weapon, but can be made to work quite well.
Things like the sunlight straightsword, wolnir's holy sword, the dragonslayer (sword)spear and greataxe/axe are more so hybrid builds. While effective overall in damage (average of 400something when 2handed) the only one I would consider any good is the axe, as it allows you to effectively one hand and cast at the same time. Still lackluster compared to the options above.

Vow of Silence is terrible. Unlike the Dark Souls 2 counterpart it's really short and easy to wait out. My mage has under 30% equip load so good luck catching me 1v1..
Against a sorcerer who knows what he/she/it is doing, Vow of Silence will fail to stop them. However, they will need to scramble more than they originally thought they would.
LordFhalkyn: My crystal infused longsword has an AR of 513 and even with the split damage and my poor defense I can kill a lot of people pretty easily. People really underestimate mages and assume they're absolute shit when they draw their backup melee weapon.
That being said, Vow of Silence is perfectly fine in my view. In Dark Souls 2 Profound Still was such bullshit it made me wish I had a spell to negate all physical attacks. Wasn't a problem when I became a Havelmage back in the days before the agape ring however.. hehehe. Boy do I miss Soul Memory..
I understand, and I have died more than once to a silenced sorcerer. To the well prepared mage, Vow of Silence is only a bump in the road. It's happened enough times that when they pull out their backup weapon, I don't think "Wow, this'll be easy!" I think "What does this guy know that I don't?"
4 times out of 5, though, Vow of Silence puts the odds against a sorcerer in my favor. It helped me beat the Soul of Cinder; dropped during the sorcery phase, it was rendered completely helpless.
The Greatsword of judgment and immolation tinder are beyond underrated in my opinion. The greatsword of judgment has beastly amount of damage and it has a simaler projectile attack as the MGS, While the immolation tinder is a spellcasting Halbert which makes it pretty damn versitile when people gimp your spell use.
But this is coming from me and I'm a hybrid magic user who focuses on fighting head on.

I find the best part of magic weapons and such is the fact that not alot of armors have any good defense against magic damage, making magic even more powerful.
For faith...
My picks would have to be Sunlight Sunlight Straight Sword for buffing, Lightning Saint Bident for lightning infusion, Blessed Dragonslayer's Axe or Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword for blessed (requirements can be a bit prohibitive for the latter) and Golden Ritual Spear for miracle/magic/melee flexibility.
One normally wants to have one's preferred talisman off-hand to make use of the weapon art.
Don't forget about the dragonslayer axe for faith weapons. It is quick, has high damage when buffed with lightning blade and you can go lightning, raw, or refined depending on build preference. It is even solid when used in the off hand, slap on a resin when two handed and you have a fast l2 attack to cover a slow main hand weapon if casting isn't a priority.

For pure sorcery, the scholar's candlestick is the best. Buffs your spells by 12.5%. Wield it in your right hand and your staff in your left so you can use the staff's buff. This is ofc if you're only sticking to spellcasting.

I completed NG to NG+++ only with Astora Greatsword and dex+pyro build. That weapon is a a beast when you know how to use it.

Crystal Lothric Sword actually does have some advantages over the Crystal Longsword that weren't stated in this video-- namely, superior reach, and superior critical modifier (in that it has a critical modifier). The thrust of the lothric sword's strong attack has a surprising amount of range for a straight sword, and when equipping a super light parry shield (which you can equip anyway if you can equip the lothric sword) you can make good use of its critical modifier. I vastly prefer it over the regular longsword for 60+ int builds.
You forgot the Golden Ritual Spear, which being a spear/catalyst that scales on faith, is pretty unique.

He'll probably mention it in the video for faith weapons/builds, but its not for dark builds; its a battlemage weapon exaclty like Heysel pick, but instead of leveling int and str, you need faith (for the scaling) and some int (just to match the requirements of sorcerys you want, and you probably just need int to 25 if you plan a sl 125 build)
Or you can poke with Great Magic Shield on. Now that's an overlooked Meta. Only loose stamina to pokes, not taken strikes~

My personal favorite faith weapon is the Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword, since it has rather low requirements for being an ultra greatsword, and benefits from the faith scaling into both the Physical and Lightning damage. You can take advantage of poise with it as well.
My favorite Hybrid faith weapon is the Ariandel Rose, because it casts miracles, has a near-essential weapon art that buffs miracles, and has hyperarmor for some reason. At +5 it gives a C in Strength which really just helps it along, but it also gets an A in faith into Physical damage, which really just helps it even more.
I love the immolation tinder, been using it before any DLC was out, the possibilities are so high cause you can add so many different spells, my favorite part was R1, R1 and then great magic sword to roll catch, that shit was so good !

For Faith builds. Maybe not the best, but my personal favorite is the Follower Saber buffed with Darkmoon Blade. Huge damage ouput, fantastic weapon art that both server to roll chase and shield break opponents, as well as having the super fast moveset of a curved sword.

For high level faith weapons, in a hybrid build (40dex 60faith) I'll say Lothric Knight Greatsword.. Sharp or Blessed.
Sharp: Due to the last updates, if you infuse it with sharp you get astounding damage (663), split between physical and lighting.. but you can put sunlight blade on it. On a weapon with natural high lightning damage.
Blessed: For some ungodly reason, blessed infusion acts weird on weapons with natural lightning damage, making it's faith scaling add to both your physical AND your lightning damage. So, if you make it blessed, you get a weapon with natural 757 damage. With health regen. Without needing a buff and running the danger of your opponent throwing a duel charm at you.
A 40dex/60faith build also lets you use stuff like a sharp saint bident buffed with DMB/SB, or the dragonslayer swordspear, which has all the right moves of spears and halberds with a neat little self buff.
However, it's hard to fight against the Crucifix.
For faith, the lightning mace for whatever reason gets more ar than when infused with any other element. And it has an awesome moveset.
My personal fav. weapon for faith is a Lightning/Blessed infused Lothric War Banner.
Reason 1: Lightning+10 = 95 physical + 130 lightning with A in faith / Blessed +10 = 130 physical with S in Faith (no split!)
Reason 2: As long as you keep it out (don't 2 hand the talisman in the other hand/swap the spear away) Its buff of 15% AR will stay with you, and effect both the spear and your spells for 2 min. (long enough for most 1v1 pvp fights)
Reason 3: LOW requirements make it a perfect weapon on nearly ANYTHING you want to use it on (14 str. / 14 dex)
Reason 4: if nothing else, that buff animation looks cool as hell!
Reason 5: if you are doing team fights, the buff of the spear will effect your ally(s) as well, making it valuable to them as well as yourself.
hi pvpskillz. first of all great vids! now to the main topic:
i used a faith build for a long time and i had the most fun using a lightning infused scimitar (only required str+dex stats) and on offhand the sunlight talisman (on a 150 build 40/40/40 on vig,att and end and 60 on faith). its an aggressive faith playstyle and using lightning arrow+talisman weaponart on mid-close combat and following up with quick scimitar light attacks can get 400-600 dmg

Blessed infused Lothric War Banner is one of my go to weapons on my faith build.
Super high range is unfortunately coupled with bad tracking. However you can stack the weapon art with Sacred Oath and get some pretty high damage from it.
The Blessed infusion also gives a small health regen factor which can be stacked with a blessed offhand shield/ weapon and the Sun Princess ring for some handy regen without using a spell slot. The weapon art also provides an aoe AR boost for allies which is nice when in team battles.
Overall it's a pretty solid choice for a faith weapon. Stylish, large range , good damage and useful in team battles. The stat requirements aren't too bad either. It's only downsides are the awful tracking and boring moveset.
For faith builds, I'm a fan of the Winged Spear. When Lightning infused, it has S scaling in Faith, has low requirements of only 12 STR and 15 DEX, and is pretty light too. It is a spear, so it is great for PvE and outspacing enemies, and in PvP is very good for trading and outspacing hits. Finally, the weapon art hits hard and with lightning damage, can be fantastic under proper circumstances.
On my opinion the best Faith weapon is the Blessed Infused Drakeblood GS,it has HA,the Hollowslayer moveset,so it's spam friendly,it is the lightest greatsword,and has great damage overall.I never deal less than 320 with a 2H R1
for my int build i use Raw Drakeblood and buff it with crystal weapon, its so great
For a FTH weapon I love to use raw Drakeblood greatsword with Darkmoon Blade. It tears through everything with its high magic dmg and gives tons of hyperarmor with the Hollowslayer moveset. If I'm not mistaken it costs the lowest starmina to swing out of all the greatswords and weighs nothing.
Its moveset is probably the best out of all greatswords and it has a decent reach. If it weren't used with a FTH build, it wouldn't be that good because of the 3 elements split dmg.
An alternative is to use a Blessed infusion on it, it makes it less vulnerable to duel charms, but it does considerably less damage.
I would pick the Sunlight Straight Sword as the best faith weapon thanks to the latest patches. It's true that it got nerferd recently but I did not see that much difference. It's fast, no split damage, buffable and with a unique w.a. that boosts both your defences and AR. Lots of honorable mentions: Lothric Knight Greatsword (on a 24/16/60 build it has 696 AR with blessed infusion, though i prefer heavy infusion and lightning blade on it), Dragonslayer's Axe, Dragonslayer Swordspear and Wolnir's Holy Sword.
EDIT: another honorable mention is the Crucifix of the Mad King. Awesome weapon
Buffables: Saint's Bident is a very good weapon for my faith build. Also Dragonslayer's Axe and Lothric Knight Greatsword have devastating damage when buffed with Lightning Blade.
Infusables: Lightning Lothric Knight's Sword and Lightning Lucerne. Lothric Knight's Sword has high damage and it's easy to use while Lucerne gets nice attack power aswell, especially when you combine it with Leo Ring and counter hits.
Boss Soul Weapons: Lothric's Holy Sword for finishing in PvP. Dragonslayer Spear is quite usable and Dragonslayer Swordspear is not bad either.
Crescent Moon Sword is surprisingly lucrative in pvp. I've found it trickier to get parried with it if you transition from L2 to an R1 spam.
Probably one of my favorite faith weapons is the rose of ariandel since it combos so nicely with lightning stake and you can pop out a lightning arrow or sunlight spear when you need the range for quick damage which also makes up for the shit range on the weapon alone. Also the weapon art despite it hurting you lets you do INSANE damage for the miracles so have it with bountiful light as well or blessed caestus. Run it with sage +2, morne ring, ring of the first born, and (optional wolf ring +3 or chloranty ring +3) you're going to have fun with a 60 faith build.

I think one of the best Faith weapons would be the Sunlight Straight Sword but mostly for PVE. It has pretty good scaling with Faith (B when fully upgraded) and it has Sacred oath as its weapon art which saves you two entire attunement slots and on top of that its a straight sword which is awesome. I personally love this weapon as im a Co-oper and its just great to have more attunement slots for something like projected heal or lightning arrow and this also just gives you more points to spend on other stats like Vigor or even more Faith if you really wanted to have a good Faith weapon and Sacred Oath like I did.
I know it's something that almost every build uses, but Blessed Caestus is even better on a faith build since it deals surprisingly respectable damage after the buff they gave to blessed infusion scaling. It's also the perfect compliment to the Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword (another great faith weapon) with it's super fast attacks. On top of that it can completely shut down big weapons like the Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords since it's the fastest swinging weapon with perseverance.
The Drakeblood Greatsword is also pretty good for faith builds. It's lightwight, low on stamina cost, has a versatile moveset, and can have a physical infusion with lightning blade or darkmoon blade buff for beefy damage, or a blessed infusion for less damage (still 600 AR with 18/16/60) and HP regen.
Then there's the Crucifix. It does way too much damage. And its moveset is great. And its weapon art is great.
Imagine how many people saw this video and honestly believed the cleric candlestick was OP

I guess that "Best Faith Weapon" video will never arrive, but whatever. I think it's a toss-up between the Sunlight Straight Sword (scales with Faith and can be buffed by miracles, essentially letting it benefit from your faith stat twice) and the Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword, which is an absolute monster as the Blessed infusion makes both the physical and the lightning portion of the weapon scale with faith. One could also consider the Crucifix of the Mad King, but honestly I don't like randomness. When I hit a button I want to know beforehand what happens. My secret tip is the Lightning Corvian Scythe. Enormous damage, way too fast swings and bleed on top.
These would by the main weapons I'd consider best on a Faith build.
- Saint Bident (500 AR w/ Lightning infusion + being one of the game's longest spears, also works great with strength/faith or dex/faith builds when infused heavy or sharp and spell-buffed)
- Dragonslayer's Axe (480-ish AR when Raw + the benefit of a 60 Faith Lightning Blade buff puts it over 700 AR. It's also good with Blessed infusion since it gets 500+ AR and regens health.)
- Lothric Knight Greatsword (An absolute beast on a Blessed infusion with over 700+ AR, though the weapon requirements are very high to compensate. It's also monstrous with a physical infusion + a Lightning Blade buff.)
- Sunlight Straight Sword (Its initial damage looks bad on a pure Faith build ever since they toned down the strength/dex scaling, but it's still buffable with Darkmoon/Lightning Blade, and it's still a straight sword with very low requirements + a free Sacred Oath buff for the weapon art.)
- Crucifix of the Mad King (Obviously lends itself to more of a strength/faith build, but it's still a halberd that can achieve almost 800 AR easily with Dark Weapon while also having one of the best halberd movesets in the game.)
- Wolnir's Holy Sword (Aside from the nigh-unusable weapon art, the length and low weight of this thing is pretty neat for Strength/Faith builds. Nothing amazing, but pretty solid and worth mentioning IMO.)
My personal favorite for pure Faith is the Saint Bident for its reach, low requirements, and damage. The king of hybrids has to be the Crucifix for the sheer dark damage and amazing moveset.
Also, shout-out to Yorshka's Spear for From buffing it at least three times, the last of which finally giving it Faith scaling, and yet still being garbage.

If I had to pick my favorite faith weapon, it would probably be the Lothric Knight Greatsword, because with the blessed enchantment you get a B scaling in Faith with a C in both Strength and Dexterity. Also with the blessed enchantment it adds a scaling to that base lightning damage the sword already has while giving you hp regen as well.
I would honestly recommend the crescent axe with either the lightning or blessed infusion. Since it has the war cry weapon art it makes it useless for weapon buff builds any way. Its stat requirements and weight are relatively low which allows for stat investment to be focused on faith and attunement. Its damage and range are adequate, but it really shines in its moveset especially with war cry active. Damage increases and you get rid of the terrible 2 handed R2 halberd spin attack. This is my recommendation for a very nice faith weapon.
O&I have a high Dex requirement, but that Dex synergises with Sorcery by speeding Casting time, and you don't Have to dual wield it. You can have the Immolation Tinder in the other hand, and still Running Poke with Onikiri alone. (I assume Obidashi is the Wakisashi.) If you don't want the ONE best weapon, I'd consider this the best Weapon System, because once you run out of FP, you can 2H the Halberd, or dual wield the Dai Sho, and keep fighting. (Without either Weapon Arts.)

I did a "full" playthrough with this thing, one of the most fun playthroughs I ever had
Moonlight greatsword is what I use. Magic clutch ring and crown of dusk. I love how these items buff the damage unlike in ds1. And my secondary is the Heysel pick.
A small but fairly comprehensive list of some good alternative FAI weapons:
- Dragonslayers greataxe: when partnered with high STR this has easily one of the top AR's in the game
- Mornes GH - similar to the dga above, this has great damage, though for this you need only meet the base requirements, and can also be gotten early on.
- Golden ritual spear - a FAI scaling magic damage dealing sorcery catalyst spear combo, with okay damage. This spear can only be used on fairly unique builds
- Millwood battle axe - Lightning infuse this for a good time with stupid ar for its weight. This thing is also a beast for all other types of elemental infusions, especially for high FAI INT builds
- Lothric knight ugs/Dragonslayer axe/Drakeblood gs - These i'll lump together and say, you don't have to buff or infuse them with lightning but try with blessed because for some reason they shall scale better. thanks from soft
the immolation tinder scales outstandingly with int and dex, 40/40 is insanely powerful...
So if I would want to use the Friedes scythe, should I go for 40int/40dex? Also what staff would be good to use for such build, cause I'd still like to use spells.
Bois, if you go for the straight sword build it's better if you make it a sharpened, refined, raw or heavy blade (depending on the stat) instead of a cristal one, that way you could also buff it with cristal weapon, the damage of the thing is sublime for a straight sword

What about a best weapon for SL 1 video? taking into account any rings that allow you to boost stats.

He talks about how the Heysel Pick is a hybrid weapon, but makes no mention of the Golden Ritual Spear, a spear that can also cast sorceries and is much like the Heysel Pick but in a spear form. Kind of surprised actually
Go for lothric knight straight sword. It has better reach, higher crit and you need dex becuase you get faster casting speed
Lothric Greatsword with lightning blade and other buffs such as deep protection is one of the highest damaging weapons in the game. It has very respectable scalings with every physical enchantment so it is easily adaptable to any kind of melee build. Tho infusing it with lightning is not recommended due to the fact that you get higher overall damage with physical infusions and the buffs. And sadly you cannot buff most of the weapons in the game that has integrated elemental damage. That goes for this one. And since it is a greatsword and has a stomp weapon art, it will ensure that you can tank groups of enemies and hyper armor your way through them. With heavy armor complemented with healing miracles will create an outstanding tank build, and as a result an ideal sunbro weapon.

Thanks to recent patches there's so many good Faith weapons to choose from. My personal favourite to pair with miracles is the Drakeblood GS.
Heavy infused + buffed for crazy burst damage or Blessed infused for slightly less damage but no need to buff :) Low stamina consumption and hyper armor with the only downside being its range.
Also consider Lightning Saint Bident. It's arguably one of the best spears in the game now with solid AR and amazing range.
For pure Melee, the Crucifix of the Mad King wins hands down but doesn't synergise well with casting.
