I recently saw a very young Cameron Mitchell in "Love me or Leave me" starring James Cagney & Doris Day. I was so used to seeing Cameron Mitchell as the older "Uncle Buck" that is was a total shock to see the younger version. It's a great film and you won't believe how young he looked, but time does catch up with all of us.

I had the honor of meeting don collier aka Sam butler, Henry Darrow aka manolito. Snd rudy Ramos aka wind over the years. Henry and don have passed away but rudy is alive and well

CAMERON MITCHELL incredible actor,i liked him in the GARDEN OF EVIL,incredible western, this show was magnificent,esp with the manolito and the blue and the boys of the ranch,the knot was tied real good,made it all work,thanks for the tribute

i was seen High Saparall when i was a boy of 10.Ilove above all the music and the theme of the series which is a continual fight with Apache.Futher i had combined the series with my Timpo toy soldiers which were mostly cowboys,indians Mexicans and soldiers of U.S and Confederate cavalry,but above the happy life of my chilhood.

I never watched this as I was born in 63 and just didnt catch it...but now I dont buy cable, I watched that "MeTV" and all their old 50's 60's 70's shows and I am really getting into the Rifleman (which I loved as a boy. Especially as a boy named Mark) Bonanza, Wagon Train...w/ Have gun will travel and wanted dead or alive being a little too dated or dumb for me....but High Chapparal is my favorite now. Being a 60 year old single man now (from Phoenix) I'm in LOVE with Linda Cristal.....I just LOVE Uncle Buck (cant stand Blue, though..not sure why) and they really tried to be realistic. Portraying native Americans more realistically and not making them out as instantly and always the bad guy. It was much more expensive than the others because they rarely used sets and sound stages but filmed out in the real west..outside, in Tucson Az. Just a real quality show.
