I wear the Horus X all day it helps at work, got many compliments. I also prefer the dark amber tint, it makes everything look nice & warm. They look great too with the matte frame finish, I don't like shiny frames.

Would the clear lens still be beneficial?
Right now I have glasses from Amazon listed as "Blue Light Blocking Glasses Women/Men, PengSer Fashion Lightweight Frame Computer Eye Glasses Anti Eyestrain & UV Glare for Gaming & Reading". It came in a two pack and has clear lenses, I'm not sure how much it's actually doing though as it feels pretty similar whether it's on or off. Now I'm considering getting GUNNARS just because of how long I spend looking at screens. Great video!

I got my $3 Ali express ones and I quickly realized I hate wearing glasses lol but they kinda look cool, didn't tint anything color wise, and no reflection issue. Only complaint I would have is comfort especially while wearing my steel series headphones. I am no eye guy tho so there is a chance they aren't doing much blue light wise but they definitely reduce the intensity of the brightness.

@@DrEyeGuy I am sure mine are made as cheaply as humanly possible but I've had a good experience with Ali express products as a whole. I find it's the same stuff as Amazon but cheaper and much longer shipping times

Sleep zm blue light blocking glasses they fit over ur prescription glasses as well they have other models as well for gaming etc. But expensive 99 dollars BUT they block 98 or 99 percent blue light

No, unfortunately not, at least not the ones that I have seen. I know some of the gunnar glasses can have some power magnification.

Gamma Ray Optics for me. Have tried Gunnar, Uvex, Tijn, Horus, KLIM and gaming glasses. Gamma Ray shows multicolored refracted light, purple, yellow filters when angled against a light source. The layman's impression I got from this is that light from the monitor is neutralized by this multiplicity of color filters in the lens. The others did not do this as far as i could tell and actually felt as if they were allowing more light in to my eye by dilating my pupils due to lens tint.
If you seeing the rainbow of colors, sometimes that can chromatic abberation, or other lens clarity issues. Not necessarily that it has different filters. Also.. the tint in the lenses will reduce the light into your eye... or else sunglasses wouldn't work.

The Horus X blocks more blue light, and I actually liked the color of it as well. The frame was really comfortable too.

may be just change colour and bright setting in the monitor. some monitor has "eye saver" option. or just reduce bright and reduce "blue" light , add more red ... my monitor is set in 1% of bright.

If you are going to get more of a clear lens, then I would recommend Gunnar.

The gunnar glasses do have the anti-reflective coating on both sides (I can everything reflect blue) however I'm still able to see my eyeball (its just blue now instead of with horus where its yellow). Is that normal or does that mean something is wrong with the coating?

Yep, they all block UV light.
Check out the lighting bolt 360s from Gunnar, they are a bit more expensive but have interchangeable lenses (computer and sun), temples and nose cushions.

I would say gamer advantage is one of the best. Can't go wrong there.
But what about blue light test?
A true blue light test can be with a spectral analysis or a true blue light pen test... not a UV light. The tinted lenses will block blue light... the exact amount would need to be tested.
