Drove myself insane trying to get a cr touch to work with this mount and stop the nozzle from crashing into the bed. Then I realized it was sitting too high so I used 2 nuts between the cr touch and the mount as spacers and now it works fine

It would be awesome if you could make a video, about turning the ender 3 v2 into direct drive, only using 3d printed parts :)
Been thinking about it for a while, and cant really find anything on this subject, using the v2.

I think that right now those long print times for single pieces is what's holding 3D printing back. Until a way to reduce those times to more reasonable values is found, companies will continue to shy away from going all out on their production lines with 3D gear. Traditional casting and molding methods while costly in terms of time and labor upfront, are faster and more cost efective once production ramps up. Injection molding and related methods are solid. Because what for-profit company can wait 38 hours for a single piece?

Hey, thank you! I've been waiting on your review on this one since you announced it in the unpaking video. I would have liked a more specific view on the advantegaes/disadvantages on this upgrade. How does it perform compared to other solutions for Direct extruding? I would like to have an easy way to add a direct extruder but without loosing the speed on PLA Printing (adding to much weight on the moving axes).

    • @Crosslink3D

Hey, Eduard. I like this one specifically for it being light weigt compared to the Hemera that I have on my AM8. Print speed of 50-60mm/s is not an issue, works fine. Anything higher I didn't test yet but I can do some more research and tell you about the results in a follow up. Keep the questions coming!

the best guess is to check the polarity of the fan cable connector vs. the mainboard. sometimes, those cables need to be swapped.

    • @floorpizza8074

    • @rivermachine2362
