I had been wanting to do this drum cover for quite some time I will admit. This album as a whole along with Earthbound, was integral to my musical playlists during my time in the Army.
Starting off with the Punch u in your Face Blast Beat.. I had to grab the start a 2nd time as it caught me off guard. But i like Surprises especially in this regard kinda breaking from the norm here. BT's variations and tempo changes are Very interesting along with Bits of riffing bringing the early to mid 2000's style and Metal to the track... Nice job on this man Great cover my friend..💀🤘
Thank you so much! The opening of the song had the same effect on me when i first heard it, especially since that isn't typically how BT starts their songs
@@DrumlionMusic anytime man. And that makes it all the better when a band is Not known to do a certain something or throw an element in that will make u say hold i have to back that up a second time. Because its just that good and interesting. So yeah until the next one.
Do you just appreciate drumming or have you always enjoyed metal? I'm a old punk myself but the talent of drummers always intrigued me as I have none of it. Thank you for what you do🙏
I love ALL forms of drumming! It is just my niche, so-to-speak, is metal. But I have no issue with bringing other genres to the channel if my audience digs it too.
My man! Bro you look really relaxed with your covers. I'm new to Bury Tomorrow, thanks for the intro! Super tight as usual, and brilliant footwork. Keep killing it🤘
Thanks so much my friend! I tried to adopt a different mentality with this cover by treating it like i was doing a live performance, instead if a studio tracking session. Trying to keep it loose and not really sweat playing an exact copy of the original drum parts really helped me out in this video in particular.
Awesome work, you looked like you were really getting into it and that was infectious. Gotta admit I only know them from their most recent single Boltcutter and that song is incredible, so yet again I may have to dive into their stuff, I'm on an Abbie Falls kick at the minute, cant get enough of them, but these are on the list. Great stuff, lol how on Earth do you not hit those mics? IT's masterfull for that alone.
Thanks so much my friend! Bury Tomorrow has always had songs on my playlist. I think the first song I ever heard from them was Last Light and ive been hooked ever since. And i tried to just play this song more of a performance vibe rather than a studio session, because ive been told i look stiff while playing. So i was like ok ill just treat it like im playing live instead and not worry about trying to play everything as a perfect copy of the original track.
Nice to wake up to your videos. Good limb independence, this song is tricky. You trying to battle Casagrande for the drummer with biggest biceps award? Let me check if Drumeo has that category 😜 thanks man 🤙
I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this but you look like it's an effort to not break the sticks and kick your foot right through the bassdrum. Lol it but really most drummers look like they're going 10 rounds with ali and you look like relaxed and pensive. It's actually a testament to your technique so 👏
How about reacting to Mike portnoy from dream theater with his other band liquid tension experiment "acid rain" 🎶🔥🤘 th-cam.com/video/edqH0ofRQrM/w-d-xo.html
