first off, I did a lot of things wrong here and im aware. for the sake of the armchair guys.
IL2 BOS BLEW ME AWAY. in my opinion its the best ww2 flight sim ever.

I flew the Microsoft WWII flight simulator of the 1990's. Was an ACE on it, before the computer became obsolete.
Want to get another.
Fought program Aces to challenge my skills back then.
Flew many missions to shoot down 5 enemy aircraft, had to survive all 5 before getting a new mission of 5 more?
Once was shot down, with one more to shoot down, I dead stick landed in a field, & the enemy flew right through my crosseirs, while my plane sat dead on the ground. Shot it down from the ground, & another new life!
I couldn't believe it.

i can't achieve this kind of visual even when i set the graphics on ultra
The secret is, you record your gameplay. The game has an in game recorder I think its "cntrl R" to start and stop.
Then, after you record, you start the game in non vr mode and set all graphics to highest settings (assuming your pc can run 2D in max settings) then go to flight record option in main menu and you will see your recorded video.

War Thunder BEST WWII DOGFIGHT SIM EVER! You are joking, I hope. This is only an arcade games (even in realistic mode). Some examples ? The russian planes are over nerved in this russian game of course), or you cannot outrun a bf 109 with a de Havilland Mosquito etc ...

Wait, what? you can't outrun a 109 in a mosquito? Mosquito was the fastest piston engine fighter during WW2. I do agree that WT is a arcade game if anything. Especially when you get that stupid pinging sound with every hit on a enemy, Drives me nuts.
@@grahamshere the fact that in WT you could yank and bank on a dime classifies it as an arcade game. Unless you select simulator which then becomes kinda wonky.
@@SONICBOOM-117 Plus the fact a mouse user can out turn a joystick user drove me nuts. Neither should be on the same server, In il2 GB servers has the choice to ban mouse users, Though in there mouse users have no chance against a joystick pilot. Guys and Girls pay good money for flight sim hardware to have a mouse pilot beat you is just plane stupid.

IL-2 BOS is arcade, is not simulator, simulator is DCS. this game has very serious errors in FM and DM.

Hi, you guys sound like experts so, I need help. I have IL2 Sturmovic 1946. I used it for years in Microsoft XP. When Microsoft changed to 8.1 I bought a new PC. I can not get the game to play correctly. It doesn't seem to down load correctly. I have been missing IL2 for that many years. I even bought a new disc thinking my disc was trashed. That didn't work either. Another thing is IL2 BOS a disc or an on line game? I just like playing myself. I used to fly and used IL2 to keep me current. :O) Always wanted to be a fighter pilot! Thanks ahead of time. John
For 1946 there's a procedure on how to run it on current generation machines. Just Google "how to launch IL2 1946" you should find it.
IL2 bos is my favorite. I NEVER play online (haven't tried it yet) I play single player.
It's a download product not a physical copy (that I'm aware of). Enjoy it. It's amazing on VR.

Hi @spark. I'm back. I was having problems with my PC. I brought it to a Tech. He installed a new digital hard drive. I now have Microsoft 10. I am wondering if you know of a recent Video Disc that I could buy or download a simulator that will be compatible to Mic.10 Something in the IL2 category. I also like IL2 a lot. FYI, I can't afford anything expensive. Thanks for your past, fast response.

Hi, some type of voice over would be nice, very interesting otherwise.
You know I've done that before and then someone tells me it would be nice if we can hear everything so I've gotten to the point where I just play the game and don't say a word I'm sorry to disappoint you.
