@@kingdomsheir7 I think you're wrong i don't think they have seen the movie before, they were just extremely detached watching it i mean they were laughing through it like it was a comedy, the thing is when you watch a movie in a detached frame of mind you view it objectively and pick up plot points you otherwise might not if you watch it in an immersive way like most people do, not that the plot points they picked up on were that hard to notice, the clues are there we should know by now how Nolan always leaves clues to his plot points and like Nolan said in The Prestige 'We are not really looking for the secrets' not when we are immersed in the movie and focusing on other plot points the way the filmmaker wants us to

When they designed the Bat-pod motorcycle for The Dark Knight, they were worried about the cape, as well. Tom Hardy’s Bane is my favorite character from this franchise. He is terrifying.
The Dark Knight Rises doesn’t get the same love as The Dark Knight because it was epic. However, it’s a damn good movie.
I think over time the movie is appreciated more and more. The movie is so layered and has so many great scenes and memorable set pieces and quotes.

This is actually one of my most quoted movies. Bane just has so many great lines in this.
Quite often during a decent workout, I'll just bring out the old "I was wondering what would break first, your spirit or your body".
I love the previous Dark Knight movies including the 3rd one when it came out in theaters. But a decade later when The Batman with Robert Pattinson was made - incidentally, you guys should react to that one, I grew out of love with the 3rd one. I felt Nolan rushed it, particularly when Heath Ledger died and he had to change up things. Nolan also adapts bits and pieces of the DC universe, specifically the graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns.
Coming out of retirement, that scene with the cop and the rookie, etc. but the story didn't fit his series because it didn't have Superman, Joker, the female Robin, the Mutants gang, and the premise of war in the Corto Maltese. He adapted Joseph Gordon Levitt as his "Robin," adapted the League of Shadows instead of the Mutants and brought in Knightfall, exchanged Corto Maltese for the No Man's Land storyline, and even used a line from Kingdom Come - "So that's what that feels like," referring to Superman, not Catwoman.
But even more, was that Zoe Kravitz was up for the role and rejected for Anne Hathaway. Learning that and watching The Batman made it clear to me that a mistake was made. Kravitz is the superior Catwoman because she has more of a heart than the nihilistic Hathaway.
And while Tom Hardy was better than Jeep Swenson as Bane, the ending revealing the true heir of Ra's al Ghul was embarrassing if not outright emasculating.
Honestly, I’m pretty sure you’ve seen this movie before. Maybe even the whole trilogy. The fact that you guys were laughing over the emotional scenes, and managed to call every single plot twist part the way through despite not really listening, just made it seem phony.
The majority of your other reactions just feel way more genuine than this one.

One of the greatest conclusions to a trilogy. The ending had us all in tears. So beautifully written.

Actually, all three were about holding the city captive, and if that premise is true how unbelievable is it to pull off 3 totally different movies about the same plot -- ending Gotham. They are all good enough to be someone's favorite but this was a herculean effort to conclude the trilogy. To me, Dark Knight is all about Heath's performance because the whole Rachel/Harvey love story was incredibly unbelievable and forced to make for a climatic and tragic ending.

A good description of the trilogy is Batman Begins was about disturbing the mind, Dark Knight was about corrupting the soul, and Rises was about breaking the body.

Fun fact: The opening scene with the airplanes was actually real. Christopher Nolan tries to use cgi as little as possible.

And it always bothers me when Bane detonates and the plane drops there's absolutely nothing in it.... none of the many bodies, bullet holes, damage nothing. Not even the "one of us expected in the wreckage brother" smiling/waving at Bane as he happily plummets to his death. Feel like if he was a CGI person he probably would've added some of thsoe things? Could've idk added some dummies?
@@GyvonJante still was letdown when I saw the Oppenheimer nuke... the one thing you can't recreate practically without doing the real thing.. he uses cgi all the time, when many fans think he doesn't.. this is the one thing that could have actually be a good use of it.. that's just my only problem with the whole "Nolan doesn't use cgi" narrative.. the atom bomb in batman looks more like the real thing xD

I know Christopher Nolan has said that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was never really meant to be the Robin we know, but was just a nice wink and nod to us. But, I love the idea of having Joseph Gordon-Levitt star in a Nightwing movie, especially now that it's 12 years later. I still think the part with all the cops going into the tunnel was super-silly, there are some editing flaws here & there, & I never liked how Batman's fighting style, especially in this movie, felt pretty clunky & uneven, this movie has grown on me considerably since the first time I saw it in theaters. I always liked this movie & thought it was underrated, but I honestly still like it the least of all 3 in the trilogy & thought it was more slow-paced. But, it has grown on me a lot. Even though I think Zoe Kravitz was a great Catwoman in The Batman, I still honestly really wish there was/is an Anne Hathaway-led Catwoman movie. I still think it was a missed opportunity to show this Christian Bale-Batman in The Flash as another part of the multiverse, along with the other Batman's we also saw. I like to think there are still other adventures going on with this Batman in that other universe. I know Bale said he did not want to play Batman again, but money talks. If there is ever a Crisis On Infinite Earths movie in the future, I'd love to see all the previous versions of Batman appear, including this one.
