If you didn't say that you could pull the pipe out at 16:30, i would've been down 150 quid now, as my mechanic said the only way is to buy a new hose with a new connector. :)) This way i managed to change only the connector. Thanks!
This is a way to do the repair, but not many people are technically savvy and if they have to buy an angle grinder and a Dremel, its probably cheaper to buy a complete new hose assembly. Thanks for the video as this is another way to fix it!
Thinks it’s called a pipe flairing kit or something along those lines do you know if you could get away with just changing the o rings on the fitting rather then cutting and replacing?
I just bought a gmc and that’s exactly where it was leaking on the hose in the hydrolic fitting but it’s very frustrating because for whatever reason I cannot seem to get it to screw all the way back in and ppl at autozone can’t seem to know what tool would be best to help get it back on 😭
Since I released this video the fittings and their product code have miraculously disappeared from everywhere on the internet, even online genuine ford dealer websites. Expensive Complete hose assemblies that have been redesigned to be non repairable on the other hand have popped up everywhere.
Maybe a good idea before putting the new fitting on the pipe, would have been to put a bit of rubber grease or some lubricant on the pipe to help the new O'rings slide on and swivel easier......maybe, maybe not?
Not a very good mechanic are you? Yet 2 years Later here we are, perfectly sealed working hose perfectly better than new with a better type of O ring in the Coupler Fitting. Go back, watch the video, learn how the fitting works and see if you can educate yourself as to why your comment is wrong.

Ford Part # is BA3F656B, good luck locating it though.. Now obsolete at Ford.
Exactly, I made this video and now you can't get that part anymore but conveniently you can buy whole redesign new hoses

you hit the pipe. You can throw it in the trash. The oil will flow there

That's even more work than to just replace the line! Also you need to wear some gloves !
It's way cheaper and my hands aren't wussy so they're not scared of grease
Just let the old power steering fluid pour all over the alternator what a Muppet
Your Irishness is shining through Ryan. Yes and in a later video I show how to overhaul an alternator. But guess what Ryan.
