    @flat6motorsports (John) - It would be awesome if you guys can try various aftermarket headers at this power level and see if they indeed do make a difference in power and get your feedback on the sound as well.

    Man your content is unreal. Loving this 992 content. Would you stick the inconel headers on this??

      Downpipes and catback is already really loud. So adding headers will be pretty nuts 😂🚀

      @@Flat6Motorsportsare you planning on doing data logging on non oem headers/manifolds? I’m interested in SoulPerformance manifolds and headers but I’ve not seen any evidence they help at power levels at or below where your test car is currently. Great vids and great real world evidence - this is the best.

    It's interesting to see the torque stay low enough to not get clutch slip and pdk fail messages. Pdk is the limiting ceiling in these Carrera. I ran into it.

    I’d love to see some 1/4 times on this - mainly because a stage1 GTS has similar whp and torque as a stock turbo s, my guess is this should be capable of a 9sec pass with this stage3/4 car.

    I'm curious how well traction control on launches work. I know stock it's pretty great but now you've more than doubled the stock HP

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pretty robust, I'm running Cup 2s on there now (slightly wider than stock). I suspect it would have a lot of wheelspin on Eagle F1s. I'm hoping to get some dragy 1/4 mile times when we get an opportunity to test.

    I do want to do this with my C4S, but have concerns with the increased power placing more wear and tear on the engine/drivetrain and negating my warranty if I break something.
    I've never heard anyone state these possibilities or touch on this at all. Any issue here?

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We've been tracking 991.2 and 992s now for over 8 years pretty heavily with 750+HP and have had zero issues with the drivetrain. The engine is common between all variants of the 992 Carrera (S, GTS, etc.). Majority of the Turbo architecture is shared (forged internals, blocks, etc.)

      We did add the meth and tested with the Stage 4+ set-up. We have since picked up a manual Carrera T that we are doing testing with. More to come soon on that vehicle.

    Please standardize the graph of the Turbo S and Carrera so they are on the same X Axis. It's misleading at the moment, as you can see that the torque/horsepower crossover point (which is mathematically always the same at 5252 RPM) are happening at different points on the graph. That makes the area under the curve comparison hard to discern.

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We’ve gone a long post on this topic on Rennlist. The short of it is the visualization software doesn’t let us justify the two axis independently so it artificially pushes one the other way based on the data samples and respective RPMs. We have the raw software we can provide an export on if you ever need to see it. Just shoot us an email. We’ll keep looking for a solution that represents the data well. We use this method for quick snapshots that look presentable. Thanks for the comment.

  • @nberkel

    Why is torque so low? Previous Carerra builds on here show much higher torque, and different curves. Is this a PDK car, or is this just part of the hybrid turbos?

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure what you are referring to, I have a graph with the different stages of builds we offer and this delivers the most torque output for a 992 Carrera.

    • @nberkel
      @nberkel 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On your "Best Kept Secret" video you put GTS turbos (and supporting mods and tune of course) on a Carrera and it made 521 HP / 530 ft-lbs.

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@nberkel ahh, that was a 991.2 Carrera on a different dyno. Those do make a little more torque with the custom tuning in the midrange but mostly due to the dyno (dynojet vs hub dyno)

    • @nberkel
      @nberkel 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I see. Didn't even pay attention to the difference in dyno type. Seems strange that a 991.2 would make more torque than a 992 though, would have just assumed them to be the same assuming same mods/dyno...

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@nberkel A little has to do with the tuning, some with turbo sizing and mostly the dyno. Overall, they make pretty much the same power with the same mods between the 991.2 and 992.

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We haven't seen any issues with the 650HP mark but we'll continue to have clients running more and more power over time. I'd personally prefer a manual but we wanted to get a PDK for cost and figured more folks would have them over the manual. I don't see these power levels being an issue on the manual transmission. Porsche builds a great manual and uses a beefy Sachs clutch.
