What’s up bro? I also have a Revo X in 7.3.1 and even though I’m right handed I also fish with left handed reels. Much more comfortable and no need to constantly switch after cast. Ppl say it isn’t normal , but it is much more comfortable. It’s also a good way to differentiate your reels.
Don't do it man. I'm sorry but a lot of people are losing their side plate after having it for a couple months sometimes even the first day. They lose their side plate in the lake and then they have to pay Abu for shipping which costs like $10 and it happens continuously. People who have only had this reel for a few montbs will learn later how cheaply built the Revo is. I've also heard a couple times that the spool can burst. Stick with the Pflueger President XT ($80 or $52 on Walmart), Lews $99-180 and up, or Shimanos higher than $150.
Dont take any notice of the drag rating on reels like this. Its one of the dodgiest things in fishing. Best to understand engineering , physics and what is actually relevant to the actual fishing conditions the reel is used in.
Good video. I'm thinking about getting one of these and putting it on a Berkley Cherrywood rod. I have a Lew's Mach Crush bait caster, that I have have learned on the past month but want another for pond fishing. I bought a left hand retrieve reel myself because I cast a flyrod and spinning rod with my right. Reel back or strip line with my left. Why would i buy a reel to use that i would cast with my right and then shift it to my left hand to reel my right hand. Works just fine for me.
+Tj Brown just go to www.mccainfishing.com This is apart of their kayak series of rod. I have 3 different series of rods and they are all great! Light and sensitive but built to last
Great video mate! quick question to the expert, I am about to buy a reel tonight and seriously doubting between the Max pro and the Revo X, just 25$ price difference but the Revo seems a bit higher end. I am a beginner to BC, always fished on a spinning reel.

Yeah it's a lot more steam line for me. I'm so used to it now I don't think I will buy another right handed reel lol. Thanks for watching!

Is it SW approved?
I've used it a couple times there but haven't used it enough in salt water to say yay or nay
Nice
