The thing I hate about these shows is that they act like the boss handing out a few thousand dollars to a handful of their thousands of employees is so magnanimous. I guarantee most of his employees have similar stories, but he didn’t meet them, so they don’t exist to him.

Especially the last story where several had to take extra jobs to make a livable vage, but he never thought about all the other workers in that company doing really tough job, while still not earning enough to live by.

I remember watching this episode, specifically with Danielle; Mike sent her back for more training cuz she blamed her attitude and the way she handled the situation on the training she received. She didn't stick around. :)

What the hell, why does’nt American employees havw job protection.
In my country employers can not sack a staff members so easily.
Staff have to go through proper work training, ovwr a period of time.
Health n safety is paramount, with a min of three breaks through an 8 hour shift.
Staff are paid a min of $24 pr hour, given a min of 4 weeks paid holidays per year, maternity leave,
Sick leave and berevement leave. American companies treat their staff like slaves. Shameful.

You don't do this job for years, unless you have a back of iron. How much does this pay per hour?

It’s sad in America. Employers are only required to give you 30 minutes per eight hours. If you were a tipped employee, you are not guaranteed a break. You can be fired at any time for any reason. Federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. Unless you work for a big company you do not receive holidays and even if you do you receive one week maybe. They expect you to go into work sick or you could be fired and then wonder why everybody else gets sick. I know some people in their 40s that have never taken a vacation in their entire life.

Employers aren't required to give work breaks by law. They are required to make them paid breaks if they are less than 20 minutes and they give a lunch break it has to be for at least 30 minutes unpaid or they have to pay the workers if it is less than 30 minutes. They do have to allow a person to eat but if they don't give a lunch break they have to pay the workers even if they take a few minutes to eat something.
