I made my granola, one tray almost burnt, I think my oven is hotter @180. Adjusted to 150 and the outcome was lovely. Taking it with yoghurt that I learnt here to make. Thank you Susan. You are so awesome. Your videos are long but I enjoy them.

Yummy! ...one thing to note for fellow kenyans for online foreign recipes, peanut ya states has more oil than nuts, that's why it can melt, the Kenyan one is almost pure so it may not melt as well and it will start burning and get darker coz it's all peanuts!!

So excited to see a video from u. Love the recipes. Granola n cashews looked delish. Pilau looked tasty but I wud half the whole spices as they can be too over powering. Also don't fry pilau spice for too long in the oil. It burns n loses flavour. Looked amazing. U are super woman. Love the new containers. Can also keep all spices in the freezer to last longer.

Suzy, I always love watching your cooking. You're so passionate. We have a lot in common too. But in order for herbs (in their raw form) to release more oils when cooking. Add them first in your heating oil i.e cinnamon sticks, condemns (Crush them) cloves for a few minutes before adding Powderly herbs, then onions to camelize or turn golden brown.....love you Sis

Hi Suzy I like the idea of buying spices in bulk definitely saving money.
I have a video request. I want to know what motivates you to be a woman of excellence. What motivates you to get up and get things done. I'm also interested to know what keeps you going when you don't feel like getting work done or things are not going to plan. How do you cope with those down days?
    Any updates on the house?
    Take care.

For pilau, I’d advice putting the whole spices in the pot first, fry till it starts popping about 2mins, then add powdered spices for a minute as it burns easily then tomato paste to remove the tangy aftertaste then meat. Otherwise the food looks delicious 😋. Suzy have you tried granola made with dried tropical fruit like pineapple, mango bananas instead of nuts?

The glass airtight containers are great for spicing if you are keeping them in a dark area. Like in the cupboard. Light deteriorates spices (in terms of freshness and flavour) gradually.
