Hello! I just watched your video about the amazing Boeing 737 simulator you built. I’m truly impressed by your dedication and the level of detail. I wanted to ask, are all the devices connected to a single computer, and does this computer run both the game and control all the devices simultaneously? Also, how do you display the scenery outside the cockpit? Are you using a separate monitor for each window, or do you use a projector to show all the outside views at once?
Everything except the two CDU screens are plugged into one computer, my server computer. The external views are setup via the experiential sub menu and I use Device Interface Manager for my software/hardware interface. .

If you can stomach the motion movements then the VR headset is the way to go, its absolutely incredible, the immersion you get could only be bettered if you had a moving rig. This setup is amazing but dont want to think how much it cost, probably well out of most peoples budget. There is also the benefit of not needing the space to build this, i wish i could have one but the VR will do just fine.
This is absolutely positively stunning and awesome! I’ve never seen anything like this in my entire life. It is so cool to see how other human beings use their free time and what their hobbies and interests are. Truly captivating. I do have a question though, could you share with us approximately how much a set up like this costs? Thanks!
It depends on ones skills, if you're good with cutting, drilling, wiring, soldering and what not it will be much cheaper. But if you want something that is basically plug and play, you're looking at about $100K.
My question sir, does it have the shock effect on the deck, like turbulence and stuffs? If it does have, sure it's obe of the most realistic flight simulator.
Depends on what base platform is running, in X-Plane 12 I use ZHSI for my glass screens and Air Manager for the gauges, in MS2020/2024 I use PMDG glass screens and G-Step for the gauges.

Wow. Just wow. Amazing setup! God bless you.
Thanks SOTMH, glad you enjoyed the view.
Excellent fight captain smoothest ride I've ever had!
Thanks Andrew, glad you enjoyed the ride.
is it possible to use this to train planes how to fly themselves from liftoff to landing? 🧐🧐🧐
Smooth operating Sky chief.
Thanks notthewheel, glad you enjoyed the ride.
This guy is perfect he's a perfect pilot God bless him 😊
Damn, that is a gorgious setup you've got there. only critics i have is the damn noise the microphone generates when you are not talking. keep up the lady in the air (virtual)
The external noise is from the aircraft environment, wind, avionics, radios, cabin sounds and so on.
Wow brother...just wow. Glad I stumbled across this video. Well done.
Thanks for stopping by, glad you enjoyed the view.
@@swannsim Is there a way to make the simulator where you feel movement and if so is yours like that? Also if you had to fly the real deal are you confident you could not issue?
Now this is dedication to sim gaming! Pretty much on the same level as the official simulators major airlines use for their training.
Thanks, you have a good eye for detail. The same company (Flightdeck Solutions) that made my simulator has done work for Southwest, Alaska, NASA, BAE, Honeywell and GE.
Really impressive setup. Awesome Job!
Thanks David! I enjoy every minute I get to spend in the flight deck.
That's super kewl! respect to that setup!
Thanks Adam!
WOW! This is amazing! You did what myself and many dream about 😀
Glad you like the setup, Thanks.
What a set up, I’m in awe.
Thanks John.
at first i thought it was real. then i looked out his outfit hahah. man u have the best setup boss. all i use is controller lol
Thanks mxrkone, glad you like the ride.
The setup is amazing, actually so amazing that you could buy your own lil real plane for a similar amount of money 😮
doesn't get more nerdy than this! And I love it 😀
Thanks FingalPersson, glad you enjoyed the view/ride.
@@swannsim Sure did, amazing setup you have there! I've played some hours in Microsoft Flight sim too, but with an Xbox elite controller as stick, so I guess you are having another level of experience while playing this! Absolutely worth every penny of investment I can tell! 🙂
The external views are setup via the experiential sub menu and I use Device Interface Manager for my software/hardware interface. .
holy moly, this guy knows about immersion lol
Thanks Iceman, glad you like the setup.
So do you, like, swap out cockpits when you want to fly a different plane?
The only aircraft I fly is the Boeing 737-800, if I'm in another aircraft it's for testing purposes only.
here I am excited for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and im even thinking of buying a yoke handle I saw on Amazon, and here im seeing a dude with half an airplane on his fucking living room lmao you sir are a legend!
Thanks Andy, glad you enjoy the flight deck, looking forward to 2024 myself.
Yeah, this setup cost is around $100 grand. I am planning on setting up a heli sim with VR in the future.
What an awesome setup, and great video.
Thanks Iceman
This is absolutely positively stunning and awesome! I’ve never seen anything like this in my entire life. It is so cool to see how other human beings use their free time and what their hobbies and interests are. Truly captivating. I do have a question though, could you share with us approximately how much a set up like this costs? Thanks!
It depends on ones skills, if you're good with cutting, drilling, wiring, soldering and what not it will be much cheaper. But if you want something that is basically plug and play, you're looking at about $100K.
Now i know what to tell my wife i want for Christmas!😂 awesome setup and video!
Thanks Brandonbatz, makes a great gift! Good luck with Christmas 😂 and thanks for watching.
I wouldn't mind a gal that can afford this for Christmas much less one that would actually buy it, what are you talking about 😂😭💀
I'm run and taxi on 747s and a lot of this resonates with me. Very accurate and obviously some of this exceeds me. Very impressive.
Thanks appv, glad you enjoyed the ride!
Dude! Great setup you've got there. Salute!
Thanks LTKK
My question sir, does it have the shock effect on the deck, like turbulence and stuffs? If it does have, sure it's obe of the most realistic flight simulator.
I don't the room for a 6 way dof and I didn't install butt kickers, didn't want to loosen up and bolts.
All your gauges and such receive info from where? Do you have multiple pcs to power it all?
Depends on what base platform is running, in X-Plane 12 I use ZHSI for my glass screens and Air Manager for the gauges, in MS2020/2024 I use PMDG glass screens and G-Step for the gauges.
