Why you should STOP memorizing answers for your visa interview

  • Memorizing your answers to the visa interview can end up hurting you!
    1. It can come off as inauthentic to the Visa Officer. It can make you feel untrustworthy or not genuine.
    2. It limits your ability to showcase your strengths. You may be saving certain information for certain questions, but you can't know what the Visa Officer is going to ask you prior to your interview.
You need to have a holistic view of the visa interview. It's not about one fact or another, but rather how you present your entire situation to the Visa Officer.
You can learn how to prepare for your interview with a consultation for our team. Book a session with us here: 8www.argovisa.com/?...

I already got my F1 visa approved btw.

My visa was denied twice because they think that I don't have enough home ties. I got teaching assistantship from michigan state university. I was too nervous in those interviews. I worked so hard to earn this scholarship, write articles, overcome barrier of language. Now my school start date will be 18 august and my classes on 28 of the same month and today is 9 august. I think that I can't apply again because time is going to be a big issue. Let's do this next year.

    U are absolutely right
If u memorize the answer u come to a moment when the visa officer changes the way of asking the questions and that's when you get nervous and make a mistake.
SO it's important to feel free and not even think about what you are going to be asked.
Secondly some applicants don't even have a clue that these visa officers are trained to not only to ask tricky questions but also trained to digg and penetrate into our minds so that they can get the truth out of our Brains.
    Thanks for that advice

@@juniorsolomon8469 hallo it's now a morning in my country
First of all relax "don't panic"because panicking will result into fear and fidgeting and this will cause you to forget what you have memorized.
Secondly appearance and dress code) I would suggest not to wear a suit and a tie because this will show the visa officer that u are prepared in the way that u even bought good fancy clothes just for the fear of your visa interview now this will indicate that u are "nervous"(wear something casual and gentle but not too gentle)
Thirdly ( sign language) I want u to know that these visa officers are trained to deny u a visa, but alot of people don't even know this. But if you are persuasive,if u are convincing I promise you that there is nothing that can stand in your way
Let me explain on this; let's assume that u have been asked a question?
First of all look into his or her eyes and don't blink or smile to much because if u do this it will show him or her that u are lying.
So that's that I wish you a promising and God blessed interview day and I hope u will get good results
      Bye bye.

    • @ArgoSocial
      @ArgoSocial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Focus less on the memorized answers and more on what you want to communicate to the Visa Officer. One other issue with memorizing your answers is that the Visa Officer may not ask you a question that you really want to answer because it shows your highlights. You need to find another way to work your highlights into the answers depending on what they ask.

After you have answered this question. The same question will lead to another tricky question which is: After your studies, what are you going to do or what are your plans?( Remember these questions will be asked in a different way)
Now what will be your answer.
Here most students will rush and answer that they will look for a job inside the country.)
      But never answer like that,
I WANT U TO SHOW THE VISA OFFICER THAT YOU DON'T INTEND TO STAY IN THE COUNTRY AFTER YOUR STUDIES , PLEASE SHOW THE OFFICER THAT AFTER YOUR STUDIES YOU ARE PLANNING TO GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY AND START SOMETHING USING THE KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE ACQUIRED FROM YOUR STUDIES(But again remember that you have to explain what kind of business or development you are going to start or put in your country)

I had no nervousness before I heard that I should have. So now I am nervous. Because of my English. I have to rehearse my speaking. I am supposed to do it because I have no other choice. In my country, girls prevented going to university. Even I have had to learn English on my own for four months. There is no way that you go out to study.

  • @JFerna0813

Good day sir, I hope all is well. I have a friend that is getting ready to apply for a tourism visa (B2). They were approval for a ten-year visa a long time ago and expired in 2018. They recently applied for a J1 visa and was approved. They have obeyed all the return dates by the Visa requirements for both. They are about to apply for a tourism visa, because they are wanting to visit friends in the US. The question I have is the following: They have all the required documents and prove that they have strong ties to their home country. The only thing that they are worried about is that the job they got was recently (a month ago). Their friend in the US, stated that they would be responsible for their trip and stay. Are there some documents that her friend in the US needs to fill out and send to her in case the Visa Officer asks for it. I also wanted to know if the Invitation Letter needs to provide financial records or tax papers for evidence. Finally, will the fact that their job is a new one, would this hurt their chances of the B2 visa, GOD Bless.

I wish I knew this beforehand. I like to be prepared and control my situation. I like to do research when wanting to apply for a visa or traveling. My first time applying for b1/b2 got rejected mainly because of this as I noticed from the reaction of the officer. Now that I know, I don't know how my second time would turn out but I already decide to travel to another country instead. What bother me is if this interview method is a good way to consider someone a visa, there shouldn't be many people getting visa and work illegally. My purpose is just to travel and my visa got rejected because of this. Maybe I was too determined. Such a bummer.
