It's actually an amazing detail that when you trap Luminous, Nightshade, Kaos or one of the Doom Raiders, the vortex doesn't have a light in the middle.
I think the reason for it is because all the “small” villains use a similar trap sequence, with the vortex appearing in the top right, therefore only needing a colour change. But the “big” villains have more cinematic trap sequences, so there is probably an alternative model that is bigger or something. They might have forgotten to put the light on the bigger model.
I still come back to this game every once in a while. It’s always fun spicing up the difficulty against the final chapter and horribly watching a slaughterfest of my Skylanders.

Mab Lobs seems to be the only Mabu villain you can trap. At first I thought he was in the actual story of the game, but after seeing the mirror of mystery, I learned he was from a mirror universe.

The best part is that all the Doom Raiders get their own custom animation instead of just using the same recoloured portal and slapping the model for the villain over it

I used to own about 15 sky landers and just a bunch of traps (I consistently annoyed my parents for more) unfortunately I gave them away to a friend of my younger brother. Their still good friends and he might still have them but if I want to replay this game I have to use the 2 they give you for free.
