so true, honestly chompy mage and dr neo cortex should swap classes. how cool would it be if chompy mage could change the enemies into chompys instead of just having them appear. they really needed to swap their classes around they missed big time
I really understand how people hate chompy mage being a bazooker, but i really think they didn't have a choice. They decided that each one of the doom raiders would've had their own class to be more unique and since the mage class was the only good decision for Golden Queen to fit her character, and considering that decision they made chompy mage a bazooker because of his famous Attack he would use in both games he was a boss in where he would throw chompy eggs from the Sky like a bazooker's rockets.
why do people keep using kaboom wrong his bottom path gives him immunity to all damage for like 5 seconds while dealing damage and enough space and time to land the missile attack easily
Frightrider main here. Fright rider is a jouster, he is not supposed to be a brawler. You have to use his path in which he can do combos while dashing. This does the 360 move spin that does a ton of damage and he just continues his momentum. Just continue doing this and you will see just how strong he can be.
I've yet to try it, but I buy what you're saying. His bottom path is just too clunky and cumbersome to use. Especially since his slam combo attack has such a slow wind-up that it's impractical to use. I've tried, and I think I know how to use this path... but it's not really reliable and is very "glass cannon"-esque, but without the cannon part.
swap force is a weird game for the first 2 game’s skylanders, i tested out series one wrecking ball on that game and it was kinda overpowered for some reason I still don’t understand. While in the first 2 games he’s a bit horrible…
Warnado and Ninjini are a little better than you think. Warnado's tornado can be upgraded with projectiles and a body slam. That's fun. Ninjini is a sneaky little dingus with a rocket blasting bottle.
It’s funny that Kaboom is not really loved as the other skylanders by the community just like how the skylanders in skylanders academy don’t like kaboom as much as the other skylanders
Dunno if you're gonna see this but here's a bit of guidance on Nightfall cause she's really fun. Please pick bottom path, her spike move becomes much bigger, and her teleport move can be held so you can stay invincible for longer in it, and it shoots out projectiles during it, and when coming back up you knock enemies into the air. She's heavily combo reliant, her spike moves launch medium sized enemies into the air, and she can jump with them and combo them midair with her primary. Other things to keep note of is she can easily interrupt incoming enemy attacks by using the hit when she enters hers teleport move, and using her spike move midair does a downward slash that knocks enemies down. Also use her Soul Gem move whenever there's too many enemies in the air. I'd say her Cons is she sucks against bosses and enemies that are tanky/can't get knocked into the air, and her damage is as good when compared to the other Superchargers. She requires a lot of skill but is very fun to play once you understand how she plays.
All these characters have utilities that really shines in nightmare mode Warnado: getting enemies off of you when there are clusters + running away when needed Ninjini: range and hypnosis, she has good damage Fright rider: dont use him enough, idk Trap Shadow: hes actually overpowered asl. Hes very combo centered. A ton of his moves can stack damage resulting in a ton of dps, also a ton of his attacks combo multiple enemies in the air giving none of them the option to attack back if done correctly. Kaboom: idk, dont use him enough Knight Light - same as trap shadoe, very op Astroblast - also extremely op, can be used as a setup character, he has very good burst dps, summon the sheep soul gem, use the meteor, charge the gun to max stats, then use your trigger finger for the primary attack, everything that you attack dies Nightfall: the exact same as trap shadow regarding utility except even more evasiveness, also you can use one of her combos to get infinite heals against a boss if you choose the dark upgrades on your portal master rank in superchargers Buckshot: hes like deje vu where you need to use all his attacks at once and then youll get fantastic damage Wolfgang - fair take
Nothing could ever hurt me more than putting Fiesta on the portal for the first time. Great physical design followed by the most atrocious and weak kit. Also if I remember correctly he is known for being a drag racer but his car has terrible speed and good handling. They got EVERYTHING wrong with this dude besides his appearance.
I'm completely ok with people saying they don't enjoy a skylander, but calling ninjini disappointing and a primary spammer is just not knowing how to play her, her whole moveset has great synergy and every attack have a function if you don't go with the primary attack upgrade path
I have most of these Skylanders. I think the general problem is that you’re treating them all with the same general playstyle, when they each have their own ways of play - and even determined by their upgrade path. As a result, I disagree with a lot of this video. If you take the time to learn them on an intricate level, you can master these Skylanders and snap the game in half with them. This goes for any Skylander, in fact! For instance, compare playing Whirlwind on both upgrade paths; it’s night and day.
For me, the most disappointing ones are grouped in the Dragons and the Villains. All the dragons' primaries are mostly single projectile and close range moves, with a useless 2nd move and a 3rd that's either flying or something just as unhelpful. The villains are no different to a degree...except Kaos. Everyone else just feels like a downgrade from Trap Team because they're no longer saved by a timer and end up being a liability like any Skylander.
Im actually kinda suprised Warnado is on this list, Warnado is actually my second Favorite SSA character and my third favorite skylander overall, he has a great design and his attacks are super cool and fun especially when fully upgraded
how does everybody think kaboom is bad? his primary is really good if you go upper path, and his third ability with the soul gem literally SHREDS villain health bars. (i use his second ability for mobility because its faster than walking and you can avoid attacks with it)
That feeling of disappointment in a Skylander is very hard to shake sadly. If I had to say the most disappointing Skylander in every game for me it would be. Spyro´s Adventure: Warnado Giants: Fright Rider (I hated this skylander when I was a little kid so much) Swap Force: Doom Stone Trap Team: Lob Star Superchargers: Super Shot Stealfh Elf Imaginators: Dr Neo Cortex
Yo dude, Wolfgang use a bone harp as his weapon not a guitar and I know that because in skylanders academy Wolfgang say it his bone harp…so it a bone harp not a guitar
My roommate and I once played through Giants as Flameslinger and Fright Rider. After beating the game, we did pvp and discovered something insane. Fright Rider on the lower path was faster than Flameslinger and absolutely terrifying to play against.
Im gonna try to defend Ka-Boom… Did you even ONCE use his cannonball upgrade path? You can make him shoot 3 at once and they can bounce off walls and enemies! I think it’s pretty good. (Sorry if I sound rude, to me it just sounds like you’ve never done this) Also hot take: I like Nightfall
You play him like a summoner in terraria. Also if you hold down their secondary attack (you need the soul gem to do this) you can summon a continuous wave of amigos to knock back almost any enemy
I gotta give it to you, you have my respect for not giving crap about Wrecking Ball like a lot of other people. I’m a little skeptical with your pick with Knight Light.
For me having played around with Knight Light the one thing I do remember is yeah usually just the primary blade swing. But honestly, while it can get boring over time as you say. Sometimes I just would go into Knight Light and go swinging with that Scimitar. Mowing down enemies with it can be fun in short bursts. I think it also just helps most the time we got enough Skylanders to where it just becoming tagging members in and out on the fly for different scenarios or just different experiences. So even with more "boring" characters it's sometimes fun to just mess around or shut the brain off for a moment.
Only bad thing I find about trap shadow are the kicks there is no reason to use them, his dash for his top half soul gem is really useful on mid sized enemies and for movement, basic attack is as basic as you can get, I find the trap is very slept on though it can do a lot for him when not a close range and his invisible move is alright as well, the knock back when you become visible again kind of makes up for it as well I think he's a fun skylander overall but they could've done more with the kicks and the invisible move
Im sorry but this tier list is so wrong. Kaboom is has an upgrade path that increases the amount of cannon balls, shot so that argument was kinda odd, also all skylanders were mainly meant to be humanoid. I feel like a skylander is only bad if you are bad at using it.
Wait i always loved using warnado 😭 "he cant damage any enemies" YOU cant damage any enemies. His tornado upgrade path, the dark tornado that picks up and throws things is so fun to use
Yeah even I have to admit Ninjini's moveset isn't the greatest... But I'd still smash! XD BTW I get the feeling a lot of people seem to forget about Ninjini's soul gem ability "Dazzling Enchantment" where she releases smoke from her bottle that stuns enemies into a trance, leaving em open for a perfect follow-up attack! I feel like I'm the only one who really took advantage of Ninjini's soul gem move and used it a lot, rather than just spamming her wishblades and hardly anything else like the vast majority of people who played with Ninjini did. So little word of advice, try using Ninjini's Dazzling Enchantment ability more often, it'll definitely make her more fun to play with, or at least less spammy/repetitive.
I was ready to be upset when I saw Knight Light in the thumbnail. I was ready to say he is crazy strong but once I knew the concept of the video I was like... yeah you kinda just spam the sword.
For me personally, a veeery casual Skylanders enjoyer that absolutely fell in love when Spyros Adventure released but then was highly disappointed by the following titles to only return with Trap Team to the series, I felt betrayed when I got and played with Knight Mare. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this was the first game where the new elements of Light and Dark were introduced, featuring crazy designs - both look amazing - but when it comes to the centaur ingame, she felt way too slow for being the Element's Master, a literal Shadow Rider. The horn attack opening this type of shadow realm is a cool concept, but feels completely out of place for a Skylander, which is based off of the Bringers of Apocalypse. I'd have much more fun if the third move was just constant riding so I could at least fasten up the pace of the gameplay and then combo with charge slashes after riding and holding the sword out for a bit, just to name one possible example. The shadow Realm would be much more fitting for a Skylander that leans into the traveling or accessing the different worlds or dimensions, a Skylander that NEEDS this type of skill set, since they don't have a literal GIANT Sword to wield. This could be something like a hooded magician that turned to the dark side.
Notice how in every skylander game there’s a Skylander that hints at the next gimmick ( excluding SSA ) Pop Fizz from Giants potion swapping mechanic hints at Swap Force Trap Shadow with his Traptinum like Trap hints at Trap Team Treadhead hints at Super Chargers Splat hints at Imaginatiors
I don't think he realizes how powerful knight light is, if you use the right path using his B attack and while standing in the area you do more damage and because enemies are slower is do less damage they are pretty much dead before they ever hit you
Nightfall, while being one of my fav skylanders design wise, is very disappointing to me especially because she got nerfed in terms of visuals e moveset. Most people might not remember because of how bad she is, but her first trailer portraited her as a much more menacing force of darkness. I was very sad to see her when she released...
Did you try Trap Shadow with other swap force characters or is it still the same disappointment feeling? What I’m saying is swapping the top and bottom with other swap force characters.
I love Ninjini, her design looks fun and her play style can be spamy but i like to mix it up with her. I am playing skylanders imaginotors on expert mode because I love having a challenge
Ninjinis primary and its upgrades are super nice. As a kid i beelined her bottle and its boosts since it can dish out a lot while keeping her safe. Her magic orb attack is horribly clunky doe, slow, long tba, and you get more damage from primary.
I have to kinda disagree about kaboom, choosing the upgrade path for his canon is soooooo OP, you can littarly fill an arena full of bouncing canonballs cue of the triple shot + ricochet upgrade. That feels so amazing or going up close to an enemy to have all three canon balls hit them point blank, however the other two moves do indeed suck especially the rocket rain cuz u have to stand still and aim and I could be filling up the place with canonballs instead of doing that.
With how cool Nightfall looked, she always was kinda “meh” to play. Don’t get me wrong, she didn’t feel like she sucked (most of the time) and she’s probably one of the first Skylanders I’d choose to replay and retry if I replay the series, but she just felt kinda lackluster. Great video! Keep up the good work.
Hey Cloud Breaker, I had a really good idea. I watched your video on NFC cards and I was thinking. You could 3d print out the characters and stick a card to the bottom, so you still get what you want but you keep the toys to life feeling. That's a good idea right?
I have to disagree with you on Nightfall. she was the skylander that i keep coming back to when i replay superchargers, and probably my favorite in the game.
Ok, I was supporting you up until you mentioned Astroblast. He's literally probably the strongest skylander of all time if you choose the gun path, the dps is insane and you can always combine the laser with your secondary to get a decent damage boost and AOE effect, and the kick is super fast to pull off if you want some space between enemies. For me, he's almost a perfect skylander
I completely disagree with Knight Light, he's my favourite skylander of all time, the explosion/teleport attack is very stong and teleporting all over the place and into enemies to get in close is so much fun, his jump slam attack is very similar, great damage, great aoe and a great movement option, also he can fly, any skylander with flight gets bonus points for me lol
Ninjini is literally the best giant wdym. Her primary is good and can have a combo, her bottle rockets are literally insane, not to mention she can put most enemies to sleep with it. Her orbs are the only arguable thing here as their kinda mid, but besides that your objectively wrong. Eye Brawler is cool but has a bad moveset, his punches are good but everything else is mid
I honestly really enjoy Warnado. I got him for my birthday in 2012 and fell in love with him. His design is awesome and I think his move set is very unique. Ninjini was the last Skylander I got for giants and yeah, she was probably my least favorite giant. But with Fright Rider i really enjoy his design and move set. Yep Trap Shadow is probably one of the worst Swappers, I can't think of a really good combo with him. Good design though! The way I got Ka-Boom was so funny, I was at my best friends house and Ka-Boom was the only trap master I didn't have so I stole my friend's and stuck him in my pants 😭 i also stole yoshi's island ds and tried to put the cartridge in his canon but put it in my pocket. (Sorry bro) but honestly I kinda thought Ka-Boom was decent. You don't like Astroblast because you're using him in Imaginators 🤣 i really enjoyed him personally. Yeah Nightfall is not good... Even in Superchargers. I thought Buckshot was pretty decent. BUT DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON MYSTICAT! Yeah I thought Wolfgang was better in trap team but honesty he isn't too bad in Imaginators. Sorry for the big yap but I wanted to share my thoughts on all the Skylanders mentioned.
I like nightfall. She is my favorite supercharger 😂 I like your video by the way. I do see your points to an extend, but I think some skylanders have a cool design as their only selling point and that is enough for me to enjoy them, even though their moveset my not flow together perfectly.
Chompy mage is 100% dissappointing to me, i mean even his figure had a staff so why is he a bazooker and not a sorcerer
so true, honestly chompy mage and dr neo cortex should swap classes. how cool would it be if chompy mage could change the enemies into chompys instead of just having them appear. they really needed to swap their classes around they missed big time

Idk if anyone said this already, but Knight Light's ability to fly completely counters most bosses in trap team, including kaos.
The shockwave hitboxes will climb higher if you’re flying on the kaos bossfight.
In my experience, that only works in medium mode. Any harder mode and the floor attacks still hurt
It’s only a matter of time till boombringer sees kaboom in this
how did u comment 12 days ago but the video only came out 30min ago?

I’ll let ninjini pass cus she a baddie
oh facts
For real
Bruh
No, like if she was a baddie ok but she’s not
How did you put chill bill in your comment
i see the problem for why you find these SSA and Giants characters bad: you're playing them in Swap Force. Case dissmissed.
swap force is a weird game for the first 2 game’s skylanders, i tested out series one wrecking ball on that game and it was kinda overpowered for some reason I still don’t understand. While in the first 2 games he’s a bit horrible…

Thank god for this comment, I thought I was the only one who actually enjoyed Nightfall-
I was gonna say something but I saw this. Thank you.
i just wished they hadn't changed her visual effects. she was a beast
All these characters have utilities that really shines in nightmare mode
Warnado: getting enemies off of you when there are clusters + running away when needed
Ninjini: range and hypnosis, she has good damage
Fright rider: dont use him enough, idk
Trap Shadow: hes actually overpowered asl. Hes very combo centered. A ton of his moves can stack damage resulting in a ton of dps, also a ton of his attacks combo multiple enemies in the air giving none of them the option to attack back if done correctly.
Kaboom: idk, dont use him enough
Knight Light - same as trap shadoe, very op
Astroblast - also extremely op, can be used as a setup character, he has very good burst dps, summon the sheep soul gem, use the meteor, charge the gun to max stats, then use your trigger finger for the primary attack, everything that you attack dies
Nightfall: the exact same as trap shadow regarding utility except even more evasiveness, also you can use one of her combos to get infinite heals against a boss if you choose the dark upgrades on your portal master rank in superchargers
Buckshot: hes like deje vu where you need to use all his attacks at once and then youll get fantastic damage
Wolfgang - fair take
Nothing could ever hurt me more than putting Fiesta on the portal for the first time. Great physical design followed by the most atrocious and weak kit. Also if I remember correctly he is known for being a drag racer but his car has terrible speed and good handling. They got EVERYTHING wrong with this dude besides his appearance.
YOU, YOU GET IT
Why dont you do a locke using only dissapointing skylanders from that game or each game
3:20: "he is the only skylander that is riding on another creature"
Rocky Roll:
The funny thing is I love all these characters
I'm completely ok with people saying they don't enjoy a skylander, but calling ninjini disappointing and a primary spammer is just not knowing how to play her, her whole moveset has great synergy and every attack have a function if you don't go with the primary attack upgrade path
I should have wait, because I just absolutely love fright rider and nightfall is really great to play imo
Bro doesn't watch Ruby's Skylanders guide videos. Both Ninjini and Fright Rider are actually really good.
fright rider is peak
Who’s Ruby is that a TH-cam channel
Thug rider sure is peak
Ninjini is literally the strongest giant
@user-ve1er3sc8j this :tf:

I finally get the kaboom hate from the stream
how does everybody think kaboom is bad? his primary is really good if you go upper path, and his third ability with the soul gem literally SHREDS villain health bars. (i use his second ability for mobility because its faster than walking and you can avoid attacks with it)
Same with blastermind tbh
That feeling of disappointment in a Skylander is very hard to shake sadly.
If I had to say the most disappointing Skylander in every game for me it would be.
Spyro´s Adventure: Warnado
Giants: Fright Rider (I hated this skylander when I was a little kid so much)
Swap Force: Doom Stone
Trap Team: Lob Star
Superchargers: Super Shot Stealfh Elf
Imaginators: Dr Neo Cortex
Yo dude, Wolfgang use a bone harp as his weapon not a guitar and I know that because in skylanders academy Wolfgang say it his bone harp…so it a bone harp not a guitar
A harp is an instrument anyway
I think all skylanders are cool none of them are disappointed to me
sprocket
In my personal opinion flight rider has an amazing move set but yet again it's just the person
My roommate and I once played through Giants as Flameslinger and Fright Rider. After beating the game, we did pvp and discovered something insane. Fright Rider on the lower path was faster than Flameslinger and absolutely terrifying to play against.

I don't understand how people think Nightfall, Astroblast, super shot stealth elf are worse than Fiesta.
Fiesta has music
You play him like a summoner in terraria. Also if you hold down their secondary attack (you need the soul gem to do this) you can summon a continuous wave of amigos to knock back almost any enemy
I feel this way for so many trap masters. The worst ones IMO are Knight Mare and Knight Light, head rush, and Tuff luck
I question if the upgrades are taken into a count
cause some of these have upgrades that make their movesets amazing
Crusher from Giants looks so cool, but his attacks make it feel like he is using a squeaky hammer
I gotta give it to you, you have my respect for not giving crap about Wrecking Ball like a lot of other people. I’m a little skeptical with your pick with Knight Light.

Me hearing 4:22 after sitting down to try Trap Shadow from my latest haul: 😔
I literally just ordered him on ebay like yesterday 😂
I love the circumstance that you use gameplay of the skylanders out of the game they were released in. Spices it up visually a lot
What do you mean Astroblast!?! I love Astroblast!
Trap shadow has great design but trash moves, so disappointing

True, same here with knight light. He's so effective when you get used to his gameplay.
XD

I have three steps for knight light. One, get bottom path. Two, heavily Use the secondary attack. Three, everything gets slowed and obliterated

Hey Cloud Breaker, I had a really good idea. I watched your video on NFC cards and I was thinking. You could 3d print out the characters and stick a card to the bottom, so you still get what you want but you keep the toys to life feeling. That's a good idea right?
oh nah your cooked for putting my boy warnado on there, he is amasing
Yesss
This reminds me of how stupid I was for selling my skylanders collection for like $100. This shit is worth real money now!
I have to disagree with you on Nightfall. she was the skylander that i keep coming back to when i replay superchargers, and probably my favorite in the game.
*NINJINI* Leveled up to max, has to most life points. She’s the fastest Giant, her sword combos are deadly.
Nightfall is one of my favourite superchargers, she looks awesome and I think she is pretty awesome
Nightfall and Knight Light are some of my favourites and I really enjoy their gameplay
So what happens when a skylander has a bland design and a *MID* moveset.
I think they missed a chance to give Buckshot a double barrel, then he'd actually have been the goat
Trap shadow gives off Normal type from pokemon, not anything that special and doesnt even give magic or swapper
Warnado is fun if you aren't LAME!!!
All jokes aside, what's the point of holding the primary attack to hide in your shell.
3:25 don't you forget about rocky roll
Rocky roll rides on another creature so fright riders not the only one
I see both Sensei’s on this list were bowslingers which is understandable the only good Bowslinger Sensei is Ro-Bow
I could probably use all these characters effectively because of how good I am at a game.and that's just because of the hours I put into it
I would have put sprocket here, but each to their own.
I'm quite offended but buckshot is my favorite character
Haha my lil brother would slay with ninjini
Fiesta looks cool, but is actually pathetically weak
Dont you dare tell me Barbella has a bad design she looks cool.
Did you just imply only 20 seconds into the video that BLADES HAS A BAD DESIGN?? WHAT?
I love the magic element soo much but they tend to be bad😔
I think Aurora is blank just really blank
for the most i use only eon`s elite skylanders cuz i like the spyro's adventure best
Warnado is absolute nerf post Giant you can't spam the primary attack (have a sort cooldown) and fly move make he so slow
I will not take this warnado disrespect. This means war
Warnado is the only air skylander i like from the first game
I never thought I will hear you say wolfgang is disappointing I'm mean I like both trap team and imaginators
I'm surprised you didn't mention Hood Sickle. Seeing as you don't like him.
Its sadly mostly the light characters
And this is why, I prefer LEGO Dimensions.
you did my boy knight light dirty but I guess it's fair after what I said abt wildfire 😭
I like nightfall. She is my favorite supercharger 😂
I like your video by the way. I do see your points to an extend, but I think some skylanders have a cool design as their only selling point and that is enough for me to enjoy them, even though their moveset my not flow together perfectly.
I feel that crusher is really bad
Hmm for me eh most disappointing in my line-up of figures i own i have to say wash buckler or Hex.
I take the warnado slander in high offense
He is my mvp of SSA
This video is for a big part made out of skylanders in my wishlist😬
The Mr Beast of Skylanders
I actually really dont like knight light for how boring he is, so so SO overrated
2:15 HEY I FUCKING LOVE NINJINI!!!!
She’s beautiful!!!
