Thanks. Finding that old mill was a surprise to me. Recreation in that whole area did not really happen until the super rich people such as the Vanderbilts built extravagant lodges in the late 1800s to escape the New York City heat. The forest was also used for the purposes of logging before that. For the past 70 or 80 years the area has been accessible by road and I have childhood memories from going up there from back in the 1960s, 70’s thru now, The beautiful thing is all of the old places that I stayed at as a kid are still up and running and they look exactly the same. It’s like a time capsule. Hopefully more videos to come. Thanks again for watching.
