Zachary Towne I'm not from Japan, and when Pokemon was out I was just born, and there'll still be like 2 years or so before the series got a Chinese dub.
However, that accident was very famous and, I think according to Wikipedia that, it's the reason why in Japan, before the animation start playing there'll always be a line of text on TV reminds you to turn on the light before watching and not get too close to the TV.

Actually the idea behind street pass originated from Dragon Quest IX, when you would close your Nintendo DS and put it in standby, if you walked past another person who had their DS in standby with Dragon Quest IX it would exchange information.

Connor Mulder its a game card, its different than a cartridge since carts dont leave their insides open unlike game cards which is why they tell you to not blow the game card like you normally would on an nes cart because it could get easily damaged if blown on.

Basically, the octopus instruction part represents an electrical octopus; something that happens when you plug in too many appliances at once.
Here are some rules:
Don't clean your DSI with a cleaning kit you bought from a garage sale. It might look shiny, but it can be wet and scratched.
Don't microwave your DSI. The DSI is not edible. That's because it might get hot and burst due to consoles never being edible.
Don't let your grandmother spit into a new DSI game you bought with the cartridge. It will then be electric and will not play for you. Also, whippersnappers like Granny might get evicted by court.
Don't let a snowman with the Game Boy travel through your DSI with a lantern. It would melt. Another thing: it will destroy the vision.
Try not to get your thumped pinch by the DSI. It will hurt so bad.
Don't turn your DSI on or off. You may damage it.
Don't draw zig-zag lines on your DSI with your 2-inch-long fingernails. You will scratch the DSI. Instead, trim your fingernails with nail clippers if you want to play.

The nes was one of the poorest designed systems in history. Didnt work very well back then, works even worse now with age and use. Took me over 100 attempts to get mike Tyson to register in my nes recently.

ムーアネイサン Yeah the grey, black, and red color scheme as well as the satisfying front loading mechanism (when it works) is the best way to play nes. The top loader fixed the issue and worked like the famicom, but most models lacked av and only had rf. And on top of that, the nes top loader is the ugliest version of any nes, snes, famicom, or super famicom to ever come out.

Wow, Nintendo really doesn't want to be responsible if you break your console in any way. So, they made lots of safety precautions so that they do not have to pay for any damage caused
And they make durable stuff (my N3DS XL survived quite a bit of falls with no damage except some scratches on the back)

4:06 -> Sometimes the pictures the DSi takes can have bright spots on them. This is not a malfunctionality, though.
