Wow, that second set had me laughing, crying, and saying no fucking way to myself out loud... wish i were alive for this!! thankful the guys are still around and crushing..
This was MY LAST show. I was 26 and Inn The addicapped Section. I had forgotten that They Didn't Finish 'Disease'! Thanx, Pharchive for urr support uhve The Mockingbird! - TIGER
My 1st too. I was a week til 16😊 we got lost afterwards. We also went with my dad and his cousin and my dad didn't have a ticket. A security guard saw all of us together (i had a friend and my sister took her boyfriend) and he let dad put his security shirt on and took him around the back of the stage and everything. Didn't want any money, but dad gave him a 50. Fun show. I miss lakewood
Man this was my fav summer tour I did, not musically as '98 gets my vote and although this was a SOLID tour. Had my tour buddy with me and we hit every show, selling whatever we could. Camped out at rest areas, campsites, got a motel in AC before the jersey shows and just had a blast as he was up for anything at anytime man. We tore the east coast up haha. Had to teach him how to drive a stick after starlake cuz I was wayyy too faded. Got to Alpine and put my bare feet in the grass and all was good again. 4 days at DC including P&F, camping at anything goes green acres eating those infamous UFO doses... Thanks for evoking all these memories Pharchive. I hope we cross paths on tour kid.
this gin made me fall in love with them right there on the lawn at 16 years old. I had seen a couple shows but wasn't connected and this run finalized the deal
That ROCK & ROLL!!! Plus one of the BEST glow stick wars EVER!!! I remember looking back and I saw people with boxes... remember thinking like wtf r they doin?? Then thousands of glow sticks are chucked into the sky!! Hahaha
Oh my god that glow stick war is my all time favorite. I was in the pavilion and my buddy turned me around and I was holy shit, glow sticks in the most frenzied dance ever!
Yep. These 2 shows in the Atlanta hood were HOT HOT HOT (The last year was great too - 4th of July craziness) Hard to believe a bunch of us in this video are about 50 now... yikes! Glad they still play but I'm even gladder I was there for these golden years
Well put, man. Was not there but have revered this Gin for years. I was at the Went and that Gin is the pinnacle “band” Gin but this is peak form “Trey” Gin and probably my favorite. Incredible build and I have a soft spot for that 99-00 super saturated, compressed tone.
@@tucker2112Trey was playing on some effects specifically on the 2000 tours that really just made that guitar soar, there was another effect that I never heard again after those tours, DWD or Contact from this show feature it. Meanwhile, Fish traded his ayotte kit for a noble and cooley set, which just thundered! Definitely have an affinity for these years
Same here man. No secret but Treysguitarrig.com has details on his set up with a schematic for 2000 summer tour and others. Double boomerangs... Miss those 66 and 67 Fenders.

Ahhhh you sly dog you! I was over one section to your right and down a few more rows lol. Certainly the best night of the two! Thanks for putting this up👍
I will never forget this night. After the show, I was twirling my girlfriend's keys around my finger and they flew out of my hand and in a storm drain. A buddy of mine I hadn't seen in a long time happened to be there as it happened. Without saying a word, he jumped into the gutter, about 15 feet down into the muck and retrieved the keys. We got super faded that night. Memories
I keep coming back to this. Greatshow. I just had a flashback... anyone think that big ass fan is doing any good?? I just see it screwing with kurodas effect. I remember we were looking at it for longest time like that's a fan.. no its a rotating strobe light, no it's a jellyfish guys 😂 m r dux
It's true. Saw him itching and scratching at Cypress with that stuffy Nasal sound to his voice and I knew the little rumors I'd heard from my older brother's crew who included a girl that used to "date" Gordo (or see him during tour) were true. It was funnier when it started with smoking the kuh-kaayyyne. But he was still together enough pretty well after Shoreline and into that first big Trey solo year of 2001. I'm not sure when the wheels really started falling off for him, but I know that by 2003 winter tour it was obvious he was really struggling with his guitar playing. Those "oxy" JAMS tho!!
Contact...such a funny weird...cool tune. Just miss the old days of phish...trey at the beacon...is impressive the vast songs the guy has...the army of musicians he leads. But really I only want to listen to phish up to 2000. Media, digital...presidential elections...kinda got me edgy...up 2 me to over come. Saw phish in 2010...in 2009 loved hearing backwards down the number line...but all the phish...up to year 2000...to me is the meat and potatoes...peace yall stay safe...we will remain!!!...strangefolk...miss those days too
You're not alone. It truly was "golden time" for phish and I'm SUPER grateful I was young and able to see the majority of my shows during that time. As a friend who loved them as much as anyone I know says "there's literally nothing that they could do that I haven't already seen them do." I'm really grateful they are still out there, and one day I will maybe go on another run of seeing a lot of shows like I used to. But if I don't, I'm gonna be okay with it cuz I was there for all the important stuff from 94 to 2004
Wow, that second set had me laughing, crying, and saying no fucking way to myself out loud... wish i were alive for this!! thankful the guys are still around and crushing..
This was my first show. We were 17 and scored 10th row center seats. Absolutely unforgettable! Thanks for uploading!

First 13 minutes was a top opener for me in all the years I have seen them. Bring Back live music.

It was a week b4 my 15th! First show but I had listened to them for a few years. Been hooked since 😊
unreal
After going to Big Cypress, I was such a huge phan at this point in my life... The boys were on fire.
God that Gin is magnificent...
Very similar to the Riverport Gin
Noticed that too
Fall right into the groove before the first minute of music bliss is over.
This was my first show ever. You made my day. Thank you.
My first show. Thank you!
Same

Just a side note 😁 but this show has the best Gin I've ever seen/heard. "Towering" is the best word I can use to describe Trey's sound...

Ahhhh you sly dog you! I was over one section to your right and down a few more rows lol. Certainly the best night of the two! Thanks for putting this up👍
I taped both theses shows and Antioch Raleigh Alpine and Deer Creek got some good quality archives of this run and fall
Loved watching the 2 newbs looking super suspicious right in front of you. Funny bc if I saw 2 guys like that I immediately think Undercovers lol
Wow that RnR is pretty ferocious. Hot damnnnnn
Neber thought I'd be lobbying for a Cars Trucks Buses jam chart but sheesh ⛽⛽⛽
This Bathtub Gin is the real deal.
glad this run can be appreciated for what is was. atl 2000
15:20 almost sounds like A terrapin station tease.
It's a jazzy terrapin tease.

I'll be more than happy to forward my tape from these two shows. This footage deserves the best sound possible. Let me know...
Hit me with an email for anything!

Jeez you are killing it with these. Just incredible. Any island tour or worcester 97/98 on horizon? Many thanks again

Lakewood 99' Bowie was hard to trump... but this one competes, esp. the into jam duel with Ernest and Cacti....
The birth of oxy Trey, years before it almost ruined his life.
Remember kids, prescription opiates are awesome (at first)

Yea phish from 89 to 2000 is fucking top shelf. Nothing will ever compare
