Was up @ the High Sierra music fest seeing Trey's band & mentioned how good Phish/red hot chillies/rem were when unplugged. You'd think I just shot a horse! The bare essence of acoustic is so beautiful & billy breathes Beatles & love, love, love. God bless the Bridge benefits & the High Sierra, & phishing anywhere!
what an awesome start to the fans and see the true joy of music the universal language touch those beautiful kids , definitely love to see more acoustic phish , always thought there ballads top notch and moving in fact cant think of one i don't get highly moved by. ive seen them from thanksgiving 89 at the keswick , to i think it was 2012 or 13 in tahoe , the first year they did harveys two nights was last time i got oppurtunity to see both nights what i thought was phish at their best ,my first encounter with a sober trey , liked it far more than an awful fourth of july in camden with a godawful cocaine injecting trey , was glad to see him so high in tahoe minus the dope .. hopefully this summer ity will lineup for me i dont recall hearing many other acoustic sets , long live the music and play it loud
Trey and Paige were both high on let's say not C but H it was weird but I don't and didn't judge nor would I say it was every night I just remembered at the Gorge 2nd night I was 1 and Trey and Paige center and I could see their eyes...
So ashamed… was a drunk my first 20 years of phish.. don’t remember any of this… ugh.. However, sober now and teach phish to anyone that will listen. Don’t let Wilson get ya…
Kevin Samuel Haber caught it last year in Maine. Fucken loved the Portland set list.. sloth.. guyute.. billy breathes etc.. my friend.. 🚗 🚚 🚌 killer show but some were insistent upon knocking it! darn Phans
@@MrKrichdry It is difficult to find more uppity hippies than at a phish show. Fuck them. Side note: Fishman is the baddest mfer on the planet. He should take the belt from Masvidal. and cool to see that Trey was so into playing for the kids.
I used to compare their shows and to a certain degree one cannot not compare but the more I don't the better my times at not only their shows but others too have gotten. I have to say my favorite shows are from this year of their music!!
This was a truly amazing show I love this awesome sound quality, I must admit I believe I am also guilty of taking this time of my life for granted as stated by another. This show was one of the reasons I even went on Tour that Summer...It was a magical time to be that Young I was barely 21 and toted about idk prolly like 50 six packs of $1.19 brew the bottles just looked decent beer wasn't the best but for the price it surely helped me a few times and I sold my last bottles at this show and used the cash to pay for my cousins ticket. Further was either 2days before or after either way it was awesome seeing back to back to back Phish and Further at Shoreline, I also remember buying a bottle of booze and selling shots. Show was hella fun. I liked the Jesus left Chicago second set opener I'm pretty sure not too mention a killer rendition of Moma dance...
fuck me , i cant listen to something as beautiful as sad lisa with out alligator tears just rolling out of my unblinking eyes , cant figure out if its a blessing or im broken , anytime that something magical , that it that keeps me seeing live music be it two bums on the corner , or two pros who seemed theyve played together for eternity , dont recall ever hearing that song , but wow did they nail it home in my humble opinion visually enjoyable , as is start to finish
They were on auto pilot those years more like music was playing them and they just tried to listen and get out of way...still amazing but it's cliche those 90s shows 97-98 and again before big cypress just wizards. Everything they touched turned to gold..such vivid memories..such composition they were playing so much music live and behind scenes. So sharp..sessions west 54th Street great example scaled down version of songs from "story of ghost" and jaw dropping taste. As miles fan Its like their kind of blue era all the phases they had gone through they could play anything awesome stuff. Cheers 🍻
@@brians898 thanks man. Love them both so many layers of sound. Each instantly recognizable to their fans I'm sure up to year or time period probably! Very glad Phish persevered and have maintained

Nice breakdown, yes everything composed. Lots jazz as well. One aspect noticed in the evolution of their music is that now technology and the Way they incorporate it into the music is as much of an art form as singers and players of instruments. I'm 53, grew up San Rafael Marin county San Francisco California. Love Jerry. Plenty Dead shows and Jerry Garcia band at the Warfield. First saw Phish at Cal expo Sacramento California, opened up for Santana.. I love both. Listen to Phish and reggae the most and jgb with ample Dead but heaps of Phish. I find them amazing, they have really carved out their own niche.. still cranking out incredible music. They're All older now than Jerry was at the time of his death, 53. Old Old school heads even are still loyal to Jerry and denounce Phish. I don't agree with that approach. Music is not a competition there's no first or second place, maybe America's got talent.. anyhow huge Phan of both. Last Phish shows.. Christiania Copenhagen Denmark and Praha Czech republic Lucerne theatre and Big Cypress Seminole Indian reservation 🍄🐟🍄🌍🍄🔥🍄🇺🇲🍄 Tucson Arizona Sonoran desert 🌵 yes I keep on keeping on 🍄
Yawn.....cut down on the excess verbiage and get back with us. On second thought your paean is excessive, just like the noodling of Phish or the Dead with their slow decline after the first NA tour back from Europe in '72. Carry on.
can someone explain the setting for this? I see the mentally challenged folk in the back, looks like an amazing opportunity for them just wondering some of the back story
i think its a fundraiser for a school for the retarded kids. somehow this school called the bridge school throws a massive fundraiser every year where they get mega rock star bands to come play and the ticket prices go to pay for the schools bills n shit. its called the bridge school benefit and neil young peral jam phish and other huge bands have played it. the bridge school is a school for retarded kids so they don't have to go to public schools and be picked on by public school kids. i hope that helps
wow.. how eloquent. the bridge school is a non-profit organization for children with severe speech and physical impairments. It was founded by Pegi Young, Neil's former wife.. Their son Ben has cerebral palsy which inspired her to start a school focused on alternative communication and assistive technology for the disabled and has since become a world recognized leader in these fields. so yeah, its kind of like a place for "retards to go so they don't get picked on"..
Billy breathes
I mean holy crap
This is just beautiful
Mesmerizing
Utter sickness and fire by THE BEST Quartet that has ever been or will ever be!!!!!!!

I think you mean Phabulous Phour
Awesome find and so lovely that they performed for the Bridge School. Just another reason why I love this band.
