If Julia would've betrayed Barnabas in 1967 in the early days of their meeting he would've strangled her. Barnabas has chilled out quite a bit for a vampire. He then had to try break her free from Gerard's power and convince her once they return to their own time they will be away from Gerard . Angelique made her way back to 1968 from 1796 after Victoria Winters returned to her own time. Barnabas shouldn't be too surprised when Gerard appears in 1970.
Now the sheriff is puzzled about Carolyn's death & is still investigating. Quentin still has a mental problem. The sheriff suddenly confronted Barnabas when got up from his coffin and pointed a cross at him and then the gun with 6 silver bullets almost destroyed him but the ghost of Hallie appeared & scared the sheriff & then Barnabas took the opportunity to kill the sheriff. Kudos to the ghost of Carrie (from the year 1840 time). This part made my cat's ears up. Julia was under the ghost of Gerard's spell to betray Barnabas. Then, Barnabas casts his own spell on Julia to counteract Gerard's. Barnabas & Julia decided to get a hold of Prof Elliot Stokes for further information & then travel back to 1970 to change history course.
That ghost of Gerard made Julia betray Barnabas to the sheriff. Poor Barnabas got the shock of his life (or should I say his undeath?) when the sheriff thrust that cross at him! I'm glad Barnabas forgave Julia for betraying him. He sure mellowed out over the years that they knew each other! He's more like a human, now, more than ever. I sure hope that Barnabas and Julia were able to return to 1970!! ~Janet in Canada
