This is it! I'm totally in now to this storyline! Thank you for bringing to me what my high school schedule took away. That couldn't be helped then but now I am so fortunate to be able to see these condensed episodes on TH-cam. Kate Jackson is hauntingly beautiful. So is Hallie!
Along with Donna Wandrey, Kate Jackson is my favorite recurring lady on Dark Shadows. The chemistry she shares with David Selby during the 1840 storyline is a sight to behold. And she was the ONLY Dark Shadows actor to appear during the Gene Rayburn-era of Match Game 4:38-5:08 Carolyn just experienced déjà vu & PTSD And where was Angelique during the pre-1840 storyline?
I think Angelique took off for parts unknown, like Adam, Tony Peterson and Sheriff Patterson apparently did. Incidentally, that “love spell” Angelique had put on Maggie and Quentin just before Barnabas crossed over into Parallel Time, apparently must have fizzled out because we don’t see them pining away over one another after Barnabas and Julia returned from 1995.
Being on Dark Shadow was Kate Jackson's first major role after studying acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. according to what she has mentioned in interviews.
While there were so many plot lines on DS that were left unresolved, I’m glad that the DS writers gave some measure of closure to the Chris Jennings story by having Quentin tell Barnabas and Julia that Chris, his fiancée Sabrina Stuart and Chris’s young sister, Amy, had split town while Barnabas and Julia had been in Parallel Time and 1995. Of course, we never found out if Sabrina’s “slightly” obnoxious and meddlesome brother, Ned, approved of Sabrina leaving Collinsport with Chris and Amy.
I noticed the reference to Chris, Amy and Sabrina leaving as well. I read more about what happened to Don Briscoe and was sorry to read that he had a sad end of his life.
Hallie has a nightmare that the ghosts of both David (probably Tad) & Daphne appeared in her dream. Then the ghost of Daphne appeared briefly to David at the gazebo & then vanished without a word. Then, back at Collingwood, the ghost of Daphne appears to both David & Hallie & vanishes again without a word.
I have been a fan of Sam Hall and Gordon Russell since I learned about their writing collaborations. To me, the soap writers of today -- or even as far back at the early 90's -- pale in comparison to the crestive minds of these two writers. Were they writing DS at the time of these stories? They seem to have a very Sam Hall-ish style to them. THANK YOU FOR THESE!!
