Raisin' em' right! 🇺🇸
Its a good old song who I heard from radio when I was youngin Norway
Does not get better than this. Thanks Randy for all the joy you bring to our world. 💖
hellE EYE OWE YA!
. FOREVER EVER AMEN.AFFA AMERICA FIRST FIRST AMERICA. HA PP Y BIRTHDAY HOLLYWOOD.
This is actually a much better version than Roger Miller who composed and sang the song. I was listening to this when I was 2. I'm searching and searching does anybody know if Elvis Presley or somebody else perform this too besides Roger Miller? The lyrics to the song and the doo wop with the hand snapping is so great, the version I'm talking about was not his country as Randy Travis, it was a blues type version. HELP
It was also performed by Dean Martin, Boney M and Stompin’ Tom Connors
Here’s a pretty good version with a Doo Wop feel by the acapella group Home Free.

For any Home Fries out there, this is from 2009 and the lead singer is Elliot Robinson, not current member Tim Foust.
If my radio could stuck on a song this would be it, great song, great voice
I was 11 when Randy's 1st album came out. My Dad listened to him & many others all of the time including Roger Miller who is the writer & original singer of King of The Road. Randy does an amazing remake of Roger's song & did it so well, no one would ever think or believe that it was a remake. He nailed it. Randy has always been 1 of the greatest singers, entertainers & songwriters of all time & I don't know of anyone whose music he couldn't sing. He's always done an amazing job. It would've been interesting to hear Randy sing Roger Millers' song Do Wacka Do or other songs of Rogers too. I think he should've done a whole album of Roger Miller's songs or even my country hero when I was born, who happened to be pretty much the world's country king then & that is The Possum, George Jones. The Possum got me hooked onto country, as did Dolly Parton who was the Queen for me when I was born & as I grew up listening to my Dad's hundreds of favorites, I too became a fan of hundreds more too of all styles & decades. Randy and many others kept me hooked on country music just as much as The Possum from day one. Randy was 1 of many that Dad & I loved to listen to & sing along to. As hard as it is to pick only 1 favorite song from Randy's list of classics, I would have to say, I Told You So. Hearing Randy sing that, is like listening to The Possum sing He Stopped Loving Her Today or Whos Gonna Fill Their Shoes. It is truly amazing. I've always nicknamed it, Randy's version of The Possums hit. Thank you Randy for many years of great music & entertainment. I wouldn't have been able to go through life or get through a lifetime of health-related issues if it weren't for music from you & many others. Nothing helps us cope with life better than the works of people like you. God bless you & all others like you too. All the best in health & life to you. A lifelong fan always. :)

Honestly not sure which version I like best, Roger Miller (original), Dean Martin, or Randy Travis. I like them all for different reasons. The each voice and interpretation is different and great. It is a great song.
I Love Randy's voice, love country very Talented man. God bless him, he is in my thoughts, Love his songs. Love this song also and Forever and ever Amen is also one of my favourites too.
I think Randy's style gave it a nice wrinkle that kinda freshened it up after hearing Roger Miller's original for the umpteenth time.

Randy I sure hope you're doing good.
A good cover of Roger Miller's song.
How can u say this is Roger Miller song Randy owns it he made it his own
Why you gotta be a know it all
@@jodikeeder6894 technically it is Roger millers song since he wrote it. But this the best version of the song
Both versions Of the song are good, Roger Miller and Randy Travis. Randy Travis is one of those singers that Takes a song and turns it into his own. If Roger Miller were alive, I Get the feeling he would have been very proud of Randy Travis’s version.
i just love that song too. great song indeed Randy Travis

He sings the this song to perfection
Always Liked This Song. Everyone, Keep Randy Travis

Hi
Hi :D
This one is a keeper! 🇺🇸 😎👍☕
King of the road for sure.
When he sings “Man,” it is a half note lower than the Roger Miller version. Interesting… What’s strange, though, is that when Randy Travis duets this song with Josh Turner, he sings the original note that Roger Miller sings.
Cool as they come!
I love this song
