@michaelhudsoon3331, I'm sorry I hit you in your eye and made upset! But you should have not messed with me! You started the fight in high school! I tried to make it up to you a couple years ago! I gave you a brand new set of set of Kelloggs baseball cards at Sams TradingPost! My name is Lewis Robert Burton Jr!
I am 53. I have always loved Randy's music. He keeps it country and that is so nice and refreshing compared with the crap they put out nowadays and call it country.
I was 10 years old when this song first hit the airwaves. I wasn’t old enough to really relate to the lyrics, but I knew instantly that this was one of the greatest singers of all-time.
My first taste of Randy Travis, 1987 in Ireland. A Saturday morning listening to the local radio playing country. Still listening in 2020. That's the effect he had. :)
I used to listen to this with my papaw in his building on cassette we lost him 2011 and lost the tape shortly after It was given to me I wish I had it still
I'm flat out addicted to this song. At 46 yrs old I heard for the first time 2 weeks ago when a buddy had it playing while we played disc golf. I played it a bunch when I was hanging out at the Phish festival last weekend, many of my friends who I only see at Phish shows knew of this all-time classic. I'm grateful it finally happened to me!
...1987, just came back from Argentina to join the US Army... I used to listen to this album hidden in the dark while in basic training in Fort Jackson... Great memories great times... Thanks Mr Travis!

All thanks and love to my Fans..keep supporting and shedding your love! you all are the only source to my motivation to work! Are you one of my great fans out there?
Lol i was married twice. First one stole my kids and broke my heart. Second one bank rupted me and abusive. I ended up in mental ward then homeless. So far 16 yrs and still single. I took my wedding band to money mart and got 57 bucks for scrap gold. Relationships not worth it.
Spent countless hours singing along with your music from way back in the 80's. Back when it was cassette tapes and I wore those things out playing your songs. You have some of the best songs country music has to offer. I hope your doing well, you're such a inspiration... thank you friend.
One of my favorites. Saw him in person three times during the late 80s. Liked him then and still do❤️. Don’t know if he will ever sing again. Such a shame, so talented. God bless him!
I was on a vent for COVID and got off recently. They said I was a miracle it never happens . Mr Travis you help me make it. Your music your will. Your fight . Ty. For helping me get back to my family.
Ok, I just had to watch the first commercial, about the window breaker, I'm considering getting one myself. You never know if you need one. I just came here cause I wanted to listen to this song, "Digging Up Bones", I absolutely love this song!!
Brings me back to being a young boy in the mid 1980’s. Wow. Oh wow. Brings back so so many memories. All my loved ones were still around and in good health. They are gone now. And I sure do miss them.
One of my all time favorite country singers , may u continue to get stronger as days go by randy I pray that one day u are able to bless us again with your amazing voice. I know u want to so bad .
This was one of my parents wedding songs the others were forever and ever amen and deeper than the holler I'm still trying hard not to cry my mom and dad passed away in 2020 and my step dad in 2021this was my mom and step dad's songs I was 8yrs old when they got married
Who could equal this performance by Randy with his superb stage presence and matchless voice. Definitely one of the most remarkable voices of our times.

Saw 2024 out and 2025 in listening to these great singers and their ever lasting music. To anyone else listening happy 2025. Stay safe be happy and healthy.
watched a tv show recently about his arrest in 2017, where he threatened the arresting cop's life while handcuffed in the police car. and all happened while he was buck naked. classic. had to revisit some of his tunes today. this is a good one...
I just heard a song on Willie's Roadhouse by a guy I had never heard of named Nate Stucky called Sun Comin Up from 1976ish and I thought, what the heck this is the same music as Digging Up Bones. Interesting!
So sad we will never hear this great man sing again. It's great we can still enjoy his Hall of Fame Career through his classic songs. God Bless you Randy and keep fighting. CBZ
All thanks and love to my Fans..keep supporting and shedding your love! you all are the only source to my motivation to work! Are you one of my great fans out there?
When I first heard this song back in '86, I assumed it was song by some old guy like George Jones. I was shocked to learn it was some new guy in his 20s! He has the voice of old time country.
I listened to this song in my attic playroom as a child and I thought this will never be me. Yeah... 20yrs later and 2yrs after breaking up with my first love this is me everyday. I miss him cause he was my best friend when we were too young to really understand what love is. However, I know we weren't meant to be but it still hurts and thinking about those memories truly is like diggin' up bones.

When my Mom & Dad used to play this song back in the late 80s, me and my siblings would be in the backyard looking for bones. We were 4-8 yrs in age, so our thought was to help find the bones. LoL. Learning later what the song was really about, only made me love the song so much more. I’m thankful for being raised on true country music. Country just isn’t the same these days…
Randy Travis sent me a 5x7 picture of him on my birthday when I was little n for a few years after on my birthday I always received something from him! I was his #1 fan and walked his songs thru my life if it wasn't for country singers like Randy Travis Garth Brookes Dolly Part on and others helping me get thru life with their real music I probably would of had died especially after my liver failed n I refused a transplant their songs brought me courage and hope to my fight for life!
Even though you live far away all I have to do is listen to you on my phone. Boy do I miss you like crazy, and I wish I could meet you. Love you Randy.
I listened to this song when I was in a relationship and I always thought "thank God this will never apply to me." Now she ended it and I read and re-read every sweet loving text we ever sent, grasp the bracelet she returned that was supposed to represent the strength of our relationship, and I cry, torturing myself but unable to stop. ... I hate life.
Don't give up, Randy! Miracles NEVER cease. Only if people knew what i had experienced with God.
From 1988 till 2024 still a Randy Travis fan and will always be. Such a great Singer , actor , and overall a blessing forever and ever amen.
I did not ever expect Remy to bring me back to this classic of all things but I am so happy he did.
likewise. might be heresy here, but imo Remy version > this one
