I was an observer in his Tampa outdoor classroom.
Augusto is a calm professional. He was personable, patient, & greeted each human & their canines. He made a plan & started with dogs that matched concepts his identified. Very grounded , in control, & no wasted energy
I have observed the ads & behaviors of his primary opposition; he appears to be externally reactive & his energy would appear to be unsettling to canine & human species alike. I have not seen videos where he demonstrates his training methods with aggressive dogs.

Awesome video! All trainers have a difference of opinion on training. That's exactly what makes this field unique. Instead of dog trainers attacking each other on social media account's, try coming together, sharing idea's, techniques. There are plenty of animals in need, that no trainer should be so unprofessional as to attack a trainer verbally, protesting outside the class, crosses the line, attending the classes when it's obvious you dislike the trainer is borderline stalking. When you have respect as a trainer, good thing's will come your way. Thank's for having Dog Daddy on your podcast. Keep up the awesome work.

I adore and respect this young man so much. He has a heart of gold for dogs and people. When I first started watching his short videos, I admit it was because of the shock factor that caught my eye. I did not at first understand that he was not hurting the dogs, (it looked like he was pinching them) but a kind lady viewer explained what he was doing to me, and I understood. As I continued to watch I realized he was not actually hurting the dogs just trying not to get bit. I researched him and found that he came from poverty, so I do not judge his lifestyle now. Good for him! I am impressed he just wants to give back. That is called character. I am starting to think this Zak George must have a massive high school girl crush on Augusto! It certainly sounds like it! Stand in line and take a number Zakie! As you can see, I am a big Dog Daddy fan and yes, I'm an old, retired cat lady!! Lol!! This was a great podcast boys! Thank you! 😉

A retired cat lady is exactly where you should stay, far away from dogs. What elderly woman says someone has a "high school crush" when they are many many many others bring up the same concerns? It's incredibly childish. You clearly know nothing about canine communication and training. I support balanced training but I wouldn't allow Augusto anywhere near my dogs. I never want my dogs to carry themselves the way even his personal dogs do.

Thank you so much for conducting this interview and asking the questions that I'm sure have been plaguing many of us, especially about the poisoned dog claim. I had a feeling that there was an actual incident and that Augusto went to SM, as many of us have done, in the heat of the moment and after feeling attacked online out of fear for the welfare of his pets. What bothered me at the time was that ZG, who supposedly cares so much about dogs, had only the reaction of outrage of the accusation instead of first inquiring about the welfare of the dogs and assuring his followers that he does not wish any physical retaliation against DD or his pet. He did not do that. That spoke volumes to me and showed exactly who and what ZG really is.

And seeing him with dogs in his house shows his passion for his job and love for dogs. My dog was trained using positive reinforcements but I will say this. I love and respect your work DD! In the animal kingdom, naturally every animal control their pups with disciplines. They sure don’t use treats to control their pups. Human just act so irrational and use their feelings to justify everything. At the end of the day, whatever method works to make your dog feel more confident and behave. A small discomfort temporary will bring so much happiness for the rest of their life. Keep up with your good work and save those dogs and continue to change everyone’s life.

Exactly right! It's like everyone's scared to say natural discipline works. Projecting your psychological issues and feelings onto the dog isn't fixing anything. You'll BOTH be healthier using common sense, even if it's uncomfortable at first.
Example, I'm terrified of wasps, this caused me to avoid my garden, my sanctity and sacred space. I decided to research everything about them, how they do everything, I watched a guy train a wasp. Seriously. 😂 I watched people take stings, etc. I desensitized myself. I still have a healthy jump back vibe I'm working on, but coddling my fears only empowers them. I now feel if I really wanted to, I could dominate a wasp and make it a pet, be calm around them mostly, or squish them if I need to. 😂 🌿🥀🐝🌿

One thing I’ve noticed being around many types of animals is they definitely sense a person’s energy when you or they first approach. Have you ever noticed a calm animal react when someone new approaches that you might not trust and with others not react ?

I'm in UK, and I don't know when the announcement was made to cancel. Still, I do know Zak managed to get enough folk to annoy the RSPCA & clog up their emergency line (our animal welfare charity) that they put out a public announcement looking for the venue location so they could attend and do a welfare/abuse check.
considering we've just had the undefined in breeding standards, XL bully breed banned (or will be by the end of the year) due to the number of bites and fatal dog attacks in recent weeks, never mind years, it's a shame because some of them could do with the help & I'm not naïve enough to think that letting a dog bite me vs some discomfort to calm down & then be shown new behaviours is unacceptable.

Many dogs have genetic phobias. No slow desensitization process is going to help them. In fact as said many such dogs have undergone life long tries of training of positive only trainers.
Many such dogs profit of one such session permanently.
We will never see the same. We have different values.
You would rather see a life long suffering of a dog, because you can not allow a moments of unpleasant experience.

In one of his videos, said something about the clients who went to DD went home and back to the same issues with their dogs. Did he follow up with them? How would he know? That’s a bold accusation. If there was any truth in that, wouldn’t there be at least a handful of clients speaking up about that? It’s not like they don’t have access to the internet and/or a camera to show how useless the classes were. He didn’t think of these things before he started and continued this attack. 1:40:30 It is called a civil judgement. Verdicts can be criminal or civil. Been thinking for a while that Zak George is basically begging for a defamation suit by repeating the "convicted for fraud" mantra. The burden of proof is not the same in a civil case as it is in a criminal case, so claiming a conviction is a serious misstatement of fact (unless there are actual criminal cases I am unaware of). But I have not completed the research into that, so didn't say anything about it before now. Thing is, DD's explanation is not really satisfactory either. A lawyer could have applied for the default judgement to be set aside if the service was actually improper / inadequate. And paying the judgement does not "make it go away". He could have offered to settle, which he could have done without an admission of liability, which would have made it go away, but that was off the cards once the judgement was entered.

Dog Daddy is so respectful to the dogs and their owners.

This Zack person, needs to be locked up, and charged with #1- harassment #2- terroristic threatening #3- stalking #4- defamation of character #5- bullying. This guy has gotten wayyyyy out of hand! There are laws in place to deal with people like him. The amount of jealousy, and vindictive behavior, and hate towards you, is getting worse, escalating to the point that I'm sure you must fear for the safety of yourself and your dogs, I know I would!

What is your take when the force free trainers always state that the dog training industry is in "Crisis" every time there is a disagreement? Would you consider it more an evolution of understand or something else? Cause i am so over every challenge for FF is a battle instead of a learning curve in understanding.

I think that the industry is in a bit of a “crisis” right now as it’s getting more and more toxic. The difference is we’re all willing to talk about it with the people we disagree with. They aren’t.

Regarding ZG You can't make the mistakes you're talking about if one isn't out there working hard, putting in the effort and helping people and their K9's overcome their issues. The only mistake ZG makes ad nauseum is running his mouth in areas he knows nothing about.

Zak is a cult groomer and a bully.
He turned his frustration because of incapacity of training dogs in wrong direction, in bullying other proven and successful trainers.
Better it would be to seek therapy because of his mental and emotional disturbances and actually learn to train dogs.
We should not rest until his channel full of dangerous lies and misinformations, as well as harrasments, insults and bullying is put down and he and his wife are recognized for what they truly are: deeply disturbed people and in no way any reference in dog training, scientific or not.

Fascist ,fascist, fascist ZG behavior toward DD such as harassing his seminars and venue is entirely unacceptable fascist behavior that we have allowed his type to get away with and normalize lately and it will lead us to a very bad place. ZG should be ashamed and would but he has an utter lack of character or morals and it shows in his ability to lie about dogs with no regard to consequences as long as it benefits him. What scum!
