I think its good to note, Dog Daddy has stated recently on BD Training's podcast that the videos we usually see of him with these super problematic dogs is when he first gets the leash and needs to get the dog under control. He said that is not him training the dog, but simply getting the dog which is currently unhinged, to get to a controlled state to begin the training!
which is true, I think that due to the dramatics of it that's why that's all he generally posts. Which could be debated if its giving ammunition to the force free community.
I think that people like Zac don't want to understand this . The initial contact is not training , like you said it’s getting the dog under control ! Cannot even begin to train until there is control !
Zap didn’t show DD punish aggression in any of those dogs. He controlled it, so he could help the dogs. Zap and his ilk advise people to put their dogs down all the time!
Zak is acting like a fearful dog, biting anyone around him. If he was confident in his “training,” he wouldn’t be focused on destroying others’ reputations because they are gaining publicity. He feels threatened. What a sick individual! Andddd, he’s still training his dog. A few months ago, he was teaching her to not bark at people passing by their front yard. Oh brother!
@@MiracleK9Training I agree. Also, you said it well when you explained why he’s focused on DD in being the most popular at the moment. It does affect every dog trainer who isn’t like Zak. I hope people wake up and see through his manipulation.
Zak is definitely dangerous as all hell if you think about the fact there could be someone who has a dog, something capable to do damage if it wanted to and it's acting crazy and instead of listening to, or hiring a Dog Daddy or anyone who knows how to handle that situation they listen to or hire a Zak Plage George on dogs and instead of getting proper help they get lies and bs and then the Dog does something crazy. That's Zak's fault. Now that damage is a direct result of Zak Death George and his BS Research Papers from a hundred years ago. Zak is a Plague on the dog training world and the sooner he exits stage left the better. We need to start showing up where he is and shutting down his operation like he's doing to DD. Oh wait he doesn't have an operation or anything to shut down because he's exclusive to making videos about Dog Daddy and apparently doesn't do anything else. LOL
the idiot (Zak) even went so far and got a corso puppy just to show us he can train a "dangerous" dog... i was giving him hell in his posts all the time, i would turn the tables on him if i lived in the USA and go camp on his fucking front lawn with my 2 rotties and watch him get me off :D
When Zac's own dog growled at him, and he defended it, that's when everyone should know he is full of shit.. BTW that dog has some good instincts it seems. Dog Daddy has free rent in Zac's head...LOL
Well, to be fair Zak's dog wasn't growling at him. She was growling at the cane corso puppy that was near her. But overall that growling was not appropriate, too. 😂 Dog is on the owner's lap growling to get the other dog to move away.
well the dog isn't as perceptive as i thought then LOL but as you noted, growling especially in a home environment is not tolerable. maybe they forgot to give it a hotdog LOL cya@@dogsfromthecity
I like the free rent idea , that is so funny . And what Zac does not realize is he is giving Dog Daddy tons of free publicity !! He has made many many people aware of the DD who did not know him before , way to go Zac !
Zak has never in his life trained an aggressive dog. DD offered him $50.000 to train one of the aggressive dogs he trains and he was like "i dont like to show these methods" or "my approach takes more time so it wouldnt make for a good video" or "I dont like such bets" or "oh DD is a bad person he would somehow trick me and use a dog he himself couldnt control either".. But reality is that Zak can not train an aggressive dog. He has no idea how to handle them. All he can do is give some nice theoretical advice on training young dogs or dogs that area easy to train. And these things work for 90% of the dogs, but then there are 10% where it doesnt and 1% of those turn extremely aggressive and most trainers cant handle them. And those dogs are the one that Dog Daddy is training. He could easily train all kinda puppies that are easy to train. I mean he made some videos training his puppies, he never has to use any kinda force with them. But obviously that doesnt help, because showing people how to train dogs that are easy to train anyway is just unncessary.
I agree and think that's where positive only training is good - puppies and unproblematic dogs. But watching Joel Beckman, Cesar Milan, Robert Cabral, Kyle Schwab etc. for years and comparing it to "Dog Daddy" - sorry, that narcissistic little brat is using wrong and abusive methods. He is choking dogs out, throwing them around etc. That is the other extreme to the "positive only" movement.
Cesar and likely most of those other trainers you described are doing the same shit if a dog is coming at them. They just choose not to publicize it. I think that's the bigger conversation is that DD is choosing to post ONLY that side of things.@@Duke49th
@@MiracleK9Training We can only work with what we see. Everything else is just guessing and accusing. What I saw from his videos was not a dog coming at HIM, but being reactive to another dog. With no danger to the other dog, since he was on leash. Then he choked him pretty harsh for 10-20 seconds if not longer. I stand with my opinion, that this is in appropriate at best. Maybe not as abusive and cruel as beating the living shit out of the dog. (I personally would take a beating over being choked any day...and yes I have enough experience with being beaten up pretty bad as a kid by my dad until I had visible blue/purple bruises all over my back and and legs) But still inappropriate. Otherwise tell me please, why it is necessary to choke the dog that long for being leash reactive? That he is the target now - well. Someone must be the first target. And of course it is often the more known one. And it even makes sense, because he is more influential than someone who is not even on TH-cam. He brought it upon himself. And I don't even like him. (no matter his training method) When I saw him first time, years ago, with his "pack of German Shepherds", I already didn't like him. The body language of his dogs were not the ones of happy dogs. To me as someone who is not a trainer, but having a traumatized and very fearful dog myself (one of the 5 dogs that I have) it looks like fearful, submissive dogs that don't dare to do something else than following him in this way, because the consequences would be more punishment. Tails, Ears, head position, nervous walk etc. all looks fearful and highly submissive. (I might lack of english terms to describe it better) If you don't know that video, you might want to look at it. I think its title is called "walking with pack of 5 shepherds" or something like that.
@@Duke49thhe’s not choking them lol sheesh you’ve never got corrected before by your parents? It’s like them pulling your ears or pinched on your arm to get your attention. Or did they come at you with cupcakes and hugs when you were misbehaving? Lol I’ve never heard the digs Yelp while he has them by the leash they’re fine
Seriously one of the best podcasts I have yet to see. I have been watching Dog Daddy almost since his conception in the dog training venue and I have to say I have a huge respect for his method. He takes each animal on a case by case basis and is wholly involved in the emotional and psychological well-being of each dog. I have seen him time and time again take a very aggressive, reactive, and or anxious dog and, over a period of time, turn them into a well-balanced canine. The true abuse is in letting aggression take control over the animal without proper leadership. What else can a dog do but defend itself by behaving aggressively towards a perceived threat? DD helps the dog understand that, under his leadership, he can live a life free of these perceived threats and fears. Now, that is emotional stability. Zack has yet to show me that he can achieve the same results with his method. The result is yet another dog deemed "untrainable" and doomed to be euthanized.

Has he asked you for $200.00? through Instagram page. And asked you to send it through whatsapp? I trusted Dog Daddy/🎉and joined Instagram just because of HIM. I'm bedridden and immobile and invalid and I was his Cheerleader 📣 for the longest time until he kept asking me for $200.00 for what? Did he ask anyone else?
@@MiracleK9Trainingis hi I responded to Zacs ridiculous claims about Dog Daddy. He also said he is going after Cesar Milan. Needless to say, I was floored. He treats his followers as if they were stupid. I also questioned what credentials he had (PhD) to critique dog daddy. His answer was that he didn't need to be a PhD to assess another dog trainer. I told him that Dog Daddy was taking cases that no one else does. I told him that I felt he has an agenda against Dog Daddy (jealousy) to take the spot light from Dog Daddy to him. I CHALLENGED him to provide a video of a dog who is deemed dangerous that he has dealt with. Well it was an ignore!! He is really irritating me. There are some of us that have studied behavior. He is clueless.
@@lorimartin5094 I mean DD offered Zak $50 Thousand to show him better methods with any dog he wants and we're still waiting.... So it's not surprising, that's what he does... ignore people.
Augusto is an animal abusing pos, plain and simple. Only the very worst of the worst dog trainers would support the practices of a clown like the Dog Dangler.
I have a rescue GSD. She is extremely protective. Very reactive. She spent 4 months with a trainer... owner could not control her. So he abandoned her at the trainer. Multiple people tried to pick her up and was having nothing of it. 30 seconds and I was handfeeding her. 10 minutes later we were loading up for the 14 hr drive home. A dog knows. They know who loves them.❤
I have a GSD that was at a he shelter for over four months because nobody wanted him, he was too aggressive. When I first met him, he tried to attack me. I just looked him in the eye, told him I wasn’t afraid of him and to sit. He did right away, and stuck his paw through the bars in his pen. As if he was asking me to get him out of there. He is one of the best dogs I’ve ever had. He is super sweet and well behaved, he just needed proper leadership and caring.
@@MiracleK9Training I definitely agree with you, a shelter is a very stressful place for a dog. I’m a big advocate for fostering. It may not be their forever home but it’s a huge step up from doggy jail.
@@lyssgoddess Hmm, interesting correlation… I have no idea. What do you think? You emphasized certification, are you saying you think there is some industry cooperation based on protectionism? To my knowledge, Tom Davis has purposely stayed out of the drama and despite his success and large following, he’s still not at 1M subs on TH-cam while DD is approaching 3M. ZG is more of a marketing specialist than a dog trainer. I think he’s hedging on driving the most traffic while conveniently associating DD with some other really bad dog training that is out there, which is legitimately a problem. I think ZG will get some short-term cross traffic for his efforts, but ultimately, I think he’s doing more damage to his brand than good. I bought his book back when I got a new puppy a couple of years ago. Now, I’m kind of embarrassed to say I paid money for that book, and I unfollowed him on every platform just because I have an instinctual aversion to bitchy little men.
Excellent argument. My name is Zhahn-Pam and I am the owner, trainer, and educator of Team Peaches, Dog Training and Education. I have been training dogs since 1969, you sir are spot on.
Thank you so much David, for standing with Dog Daddy. I've watched many of his videos and he's literally saving lives. Saving the lives of these extremely aggressive dogs some of which would have been euthanised had it not been for Augusto's intervention. He's a hero. It's an absolute disgrace that he's receiving such persecution. Bless you, David, for sharing your thoughts and support.

@@Merk-ze9qgI managed to chat with one of their followers and learned that they're only attacking him cuz of his rising popularity and they fear more ppl will turn to balanced training instead of force free training since he's using balanced training. The more I see, the more infuriated I get. People like Zak are so destructive while thinking they’re doing good things. He’s too egotistical to say he’s gone too far and is wrong.
That is the interesting take I'm observing in the community. Either you're a diehard fan and simply swallow everything Zak (or whoever) says, or you'll likely understand that there are virtues in either method, they just need to be tailored specifically to each case. Zak's methods may be great for less problematic dogs and that's just perfect. The issue here (aside from his drama of course) is claiming "science says it works for every dog" when the evidence is clearly lacking.
That's a great point Zack has a lot of videos however he never trains in aggressive dog secondly he doesn't run a school dog daddy does and takes aggressive dogs so it's two different type of training two different types dogs in different stages of their development
Zak is OBSESSED with Augusto, fully unhinged. 😳 Would love to see Augusto hit him with a massive defamation, harassment suit. Zak needs to be in a padded cell.
Yes. He keeps running his mouth about how DD's techniques are incorrect and how it's abusive and whatnot... along with the rest of those hotdog trainers who have a lot of say and are so quick to criticize DD but refuse to work with aggressive dogs... many who obviously have never worked with or can't even handle them.
@pangvang5836 lots of balanced trainers are also speaking out against Augusto. This isn't Dog Daddy vs Zak George, it's ethical dog trainers vs Dog Daddy/Compulsion style. Many many many trainers who use prongs and e-collars are speaking out against Dog Daddy.
Zak has grounds for a defamation lawsuit. He has Augusto on video accusing him of poisoning Augustos dogs. Many many balanced Dog trainers spoke out against that, Augusto took down the video but Zak still has it.
See the issue with Zak is he's not a real trainer, he is an influencer. There is a big difference, and when y'all have invited him to come say his peace to y'all he deflects and declines. So he should have not one thing to say about balanced dog trainers if he isn't willing to even talk to us. Thank y'all for risking your platform and exposing the predatory techniques he uses to get his followers to harass real professional dog trainers. 💯❤️🐾
I think most every trainer on the planet used to view him as just that prior to all of this. The problem is that with his huge audience he has the potentially to do some serious damage.

Mate good of you for breaking this down in a level headed manner and putting your platform on the line to help. Zak George is turning out to be not just a bully but a dangerous extremist as you pointed out about blowing up the venues google reviews. Such a shame because his videos are some of the first that gave me the confidence to adopt a stray (although his content didnt really help with my training)
57:07 Absolutly! Zak should use only force-free methods in comunication with people. If his methods are so perfect for everyone and every dog, why does he need to force other trainers to follow his rules? Little aggressive and dominant, i think. If he knows the best way, why trainers does not pay him for sharing his knowledge? I want to see him to use positive reinforcement.
Great point! Actually, a great Dog trainer ( 3 time World Championships and 16 times National Champion) addresses this in this video. His name is Ivan Balabanov. This video is his second time rebuttal to Zac George! It's a good video, that explains the science behind training dogs, the right way, with references to studies, etc. Video explains clearly why these methods not only work, and why they are used currently, by most of the worlds top dog trainers. They are proven to be successful. So many champion dogs and trainers use these methods. ( Hint - yes they use positive reinforcement, but, also balanced training.) I stumbled across Zak George about a year ago 'cause I was searching for a specific dog trick. Found the video entertaining and helpful, so I watched some more. Then I came across a scene where he would lift his reactive dog up and carry her to class - and he absolutely lost me there. My late dog was a 150 lb Landseer. And sure enough, during his adolescence, he went through a phase of thinking he was the biggest in town (which he actually was) and acting out on that. Of course, I did correct that! He became the greatest companion ever, friendly, social, and well-behaved. I laughed my ass off by imagining Zak George coming over and trying to lift my big boy up, or even just getting a hold of him on a harness! And don't get me wrong, I'm all about being as positive as I can, but there is a time and place for a correction. And I absolutely hate when people claim that only their way is the holy grail. There's almost always something different going on if they do.
He is like an evangelical preacher. The stuff he says and the way he says it make you question yourself. Like, oh I must be wrong he’s so confident in his argument that I must be wrong. That is gaslighting.
If you want to put an end to this discussion on what training saves the most dogs lives , investigate the past clients of both these trainers to see how many had to put their dog down after these two trainers methods were used .
I agree completely that that is the best way. The issue is most of the force free side never shows clients or has any testimonials long or short term of working with challenging dogs.

I've had several of very well-behaved, sweet & loving/ happy dogs! ) For disciplining your dog you automatically get shamed- you should watch the videos of people that are out there getting shamed, for disciplining their dogs. It's disgusting

My cat has done a scarier growl in her sleep than that puppy just did…. Super scared and I guess that means every person that can teach a puppy to sit now has the skills needed to address actual aggressive dogs with bite history… if anyone is a danger to public safety it’s Zac George putting out bullshit like that. As someone who has been bitten in the face by an adult male Rottweiler who latched on it concerns me. The only reason I am still alive is because I had the knowledge and skills to not pull away but to go with gravity and stay calm til he released.
Giving a puppy success with a growl is the quick direction into problems when the puppy is 18 month and 60 pounds..and he shows this in public as a training method or advice how to treat puppies - that's insane, that's an insane business model
I too was bitten twice. The first time when I was four playing in the backyard on a swing. My neighbor's dog two doors down jumped up and got me in the face. At the hospital I asked where the dog was and they said he was put away. His name was Sandy. The second time was when my ex took in a stray 1 1/2yr old Dalmatian that wandered into her yard and collapsed from dehydration and malnutrition. The vet told her she was abused by adolescent boys and was extremely reactive to strangers. Since she was unable to keep her I agreed to take her in as I had just bought my first house with a nice fenced yard. It was summer and she was outside until I could determine if she would tolerate my cat in the house. I went out to play with her and she bit the side of my leg puncturing it with one canine tooth. Keys in my pocket prevented it from being a lot worse. I ended up leaving her out that night with her bed food water and toys. The next day I went out and sat in the grass with her on the other side of the yard while talking to her and eventually she crawled over to me on her belly and sat right in my lap! We were bonded for life. I held Sparky in my arms just as I did the first day we were together when she passed away at 16.
@@Heck_Ster good on you for sticking with that Dalmatian teaching her how to trust again must of made her life amazing! I was working in a pet boarding place and he’d never shown any signs of aggression. We were in an outside dog run and he was playing with a toy as I was walking past without any warning he launched and got my throat and face less then 1cm from my atery. Thankfully I remained calm and didn’t pull away or I might not be here. He gave no warning signs or anything but it made me realise that I am still built for training dogs as I replayed it looking for what I would do differently which would be only letting him have a toy in a much bigger space etc and I still had a passion to help dogs to overcome issues so that they can enjoy life!

Balance trainer video on aggressive dog - GSD, Malinois, Malamute, Pittbull, Cane Corso, Rottweiler, etc, Zak George video on aggressive dog - Zak giving a Westie treats When you cut through all the bs in Zaks video the core of it is that he wants Dog Daddy's followers to be paying him instead, the guy's slimy af.
@@MiracleK9TrainingIt's so frustrating seeing him and those like him talk as I live in one the countries where everything other than positive only is banned (Scotland). I don't even need to see a video of him fixing a dog that wants to tear him apart, even a vid of him keeping a Husky under control while a prey animal is nearby would be something but he can't even do that. The part of his vid that really boiled my piss was him saying Dog Daddy just swings dogs around by the neck and that that's easy for anyone to do. Dog Daddy is stick thin, he can't weigh very much and he's in there wrestling an Akita ( a breed that's powerful enough to tear a human apart) that's trying to take his legs out from under him. That is in no way an easy situation for someone to be in and shows how disingenuous and lacking in real experience he is.
His whole persona screams beta male. He can't face balanced trainers face to face, won't protest personally but hides behind a group of middle aged white women, and can't face an aggressive dog. I'm a woman but I can imagine it has to bite when you as a man can't garner the respect of other men or dogs.
I was a teacher for 20 years. We swung to only using “positive behavior methods” with students about 15 years ago with no real corrections or accountability aloud. Very similar to Zack’s reward methods with dogs. It didn’t work and gave children no clue that in the world there would always be consequences either positive or negative for their actions or lack of. The schools all across America are struggling just to teach because the behaviors are so bad these days. Helping children and animals learn to control there negative behavior is giving them a gift and a better life. Dog Daddy is a caring and talented dog trainer.
Zac George has been challenged by some dog- trainers to do this very thing you say. He doesn't answer, in fact the DD has offered him a lot of money to have a training session/collaboration, together, but he just ignores him. He talks the talk, but he don't walk the walk- he is a fraud.

I discovered Dog Daddy because I was watching Zack due to my family recently getting a puppy. Zack made Dog Daddy sound so awful so I hid his videos from popping in my feed. Then my sister in law told us about the dog daddy because they were having issues with their mastiff. They hired a behaviorist who was scared to death from her dog lol and just wanted to showered her in treats and it didn’t even work. Then they fired him and started watching the dog daddy. Anyway, I became curious and went ahead and watched a few of his videos and at the same time my puppy was doing well with treats when learning tricks, BUT he was beginning to show problems bullying my older dog (much smaller than him). I realized I was going to need pounds of treats to redirect him daily! Like… is he going to end up obese and still a bully lol my brain realized there’s only so much treats can accomplish. At the same time I watched a few videos of DD and realized most of them was he training the owners to understand the dogs needs and having to correct bad behaviors mostly due to the owners. Some of these people were at wits end almost not even wanting to engage with their dog but dog daddy made them turn around as much as possible. Consecutively I found Zacks other videos inviting people to go bully businesses that were supporting the dog daddy in some ways and telling people to call their state reps? I was like… wait I’ve never seen Zack near a truly aggressive way. And the one time he did make a video about it he got bit lol 😂 So needless to say I don’t watch Zack anymore and it was his own undoing 😂
I'm so fucking tired of this supposedly "animal friendly" people that just care about their own emotional well being. That's what it is. THEY want to feel good training their dog. All Zak "Does he even train dogs?" George does, is play with emotions. Everyone that ever worked sales knows that emotions sell the best. My boss has an australian sheppard that suddenly started biting and now has a bite history. He has been to MULTIPLE trainers. Guess where he ended? Medication. Dog is completely shut down now, doesnt even wanna go outside, is afraid of everything. Has to wear a muzzle even inside the house and guess what? The medication didn't even help with the aggression. What a joke. That's A LOT of money spend on trainers, "doctors" and medication. And Time. For what? Thus far: nothing. Who exactly WANTS to correct his dog?! No one. I hope. But how the HELL do you wanna tell a dog: bro, you sure as hell can't do THAT. A correction it is. My amstaff wanted to bite me ONCE. I'm not proud about it and i sure as hell don't wanna brag with that, i just wanna share my experience: he tried to bite me while i was on the sofa with him, cuddling. Bite out of nothing. I corrected him, heavily. He never bit again. Never. Came back cuddling a few moments later. I take that few moments of discomfort any time of the day, over a dog that thinks he can freaking bite just because he doesn't like something. I care about the well beings of others in this order: 1. other people 2. other animals 3. my dog 4. me Whatever makes sure 1 and 2 are safe, i'll do. Not every dog is the same, some respond differently to different kinds of training. Some dogs simply need a heavier correction than others. How can anyone who ever dealt with dogs not know this?
These are the same people that call spanking abuse. The ones that likely have their kids doing whatever they want to themselves and other kids. No boundaries no structure. The same ones that get triggered about everything and need public safe spaces. It’s all a damn joke at this point. I will correct my dog “abrasively” before I allow it to hurt people. I guess these ppl just really hate humans. Actually I know they hate them because they say it all the time. These are the ppl that say they love their dogs more than people.
Zak is an out-of-control dog himself. He has fear aggression and needs someone to give him guidance and to relieve his confusion. He has chosen the right guy. The Dog Daddy is the guy to do it and has him on a leash showing him that he’s not a threat.
You guys make good points, owning different types of dogs and different stages of their lives and training them I've come to realize some do not respond to just positive reinforcement
No creatures responds to exclusively positive reinforcement. I question everyone to name one thing on planet earth that doesn’t experience an aversive.
Where can we see these “professional” force free trainers be handed a leash with an aggressive/reactive dog at the end of it? I am very interested to see how they would use leash manipulation and handle the dog. Money is the root of all evil.
If I was Zak I would be worried about what kind people he's weaponizing to show up in real life to these events it only takes one crackpot to hurt a lot of people
I had to fast forward through this Zak dudes bs. I've never had an aggressive dog, but from watching Dog Daddy's videos, not just a 30 second clip, his methods seem to work miracles and change lives. Zak and his cronies cannot say the same thing. I would trust someone who knows dogs over someone who has gone to college to study dogs. And the ASPCA doesn't know as much as they think they do.
I have taken many hours of my time to manage my now 6month old gsd bc I want her to be nice and sweet and social with ppl and dogs. I am proud of her and ppl compliment me on her behavior and temperament. She is very protective of our home and I let her know some ppl are welcome, so she accepts them too.
It's crazy that someone wants to pick a fight with someone..DOG DADDY... WHO YOU CAN SEE IS CALM SAVES THESE DOGS NOT ONLY Their LIVES BUT MENTALLY TOO. GOD BLESS HIM FOR BEING THERE DEDICATING HIS LIFE TO THESE DISTRESSED DOGS. EACH TRAINER HAS THEIR ROLE AT DIFFERENT LEVELS FOR DIFFERENT REASONS. DOG DADDY IS AN ANGEL TO THOSE WHO NEED HIM.
I listened to the whole podcast and have not changed my opinion. He is working with dogs that are out of control. Have any been rush to vet after his training session from abuse? No. Have most left becoming a better dog yes. Is the home environment better. Yes. Can you now maybe roll on the floor and play with your dog have company or even go to the park. Yes. We can easily be critical of each other. That's the easy part. You can see he loves dogs and cares. He's not just here for the money. I support him 💯
@@bethbish6287 not trying to change anyone’s opinion of him. But I can understand where some people can’t see some of that and create negative opinions
This man is not clinically psychotic but he's acting psychotic. I cannot believe that he's going to this length of doxing people and harassing other trainers simply because they are getting results with dogs that he can never achieve. Que tire League losses over the issue as to whether or not as to whether he would ever trained one of these dogs. The fact is he does not trained these dogs, he does not show the training, he does not post results. And he is so caught up in science yet fails to acknowledge that not only is science always evolving, but the science is actually not on his side. Ivan Balbalov has cited numerous studies, particularly the New Zealand bird dog study with 1604 dogs where they actually did follow-ups years later after they were trained on e collars and the results showed no negative effect to the emotional well-being of the dog whatsoever beyond the momentary stimulus. However, if mr. George thinks that we are going to live in a world without any discomfort weatherby people or animals and posed to help improve quality of life and even save a dog's life then he is deluded.
Zak wants us to live in a world where we are forced to live in discomfort as to not offend your badly behaved dog. I cannot imagine having to walk on eggshells around my dogs in my own home. He calls that management.
@MiracleK9Training I sent Mr. Zak an invitation to sit with a panel of behaviorist and real training experts that turn aggressive dogs around. He did not respond. Little does he know that maybe some of us have a degree in the field. He is filtering misinformation to his followers. I question why he feels that he is a SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT. Which, he is not. He gets under my skin with all the lectures. I saw a video of him and a "supposedly aggressive German Shepherd". From the get go, I observed he did not approach the dog properly. He may be good with poodles and lap dogs but I would love to see him handle one of the dogs that DD handles. I believe he wants to take the limelight off of DD and shift to him.
@@lorimartin5094 yeh the sweet German shepherd called MIRA or something like that. I watched it too. She was such a sweet dog. I thought it comical how anxious he was from her little outbursts. He was so out of control lol

Is anyone else concerned that the Zac protests will lead to someone getting ACTUALLY bit or attacked by participants being approached by protesters carrying signs and are highly stressed? OR retaliation from hurt businesses?
You've got a great point! Those protesters are stressing out the dogs that are already stressed out to the max and making the problem much worse- this is a mess! ZG and his flying monkeys antics are making the problem much worse at DD's events/ Seminars.
Zak is definitely stressing out by the way he looks which shows he’s afraid of the success of Dog Daddy. Dog Daddy should do some more follow up podcasts on past aggressive dogs to show the positive impact his and the owners training has had on the dogs and their families.
Zack mentions he's been warning about wrond dog training for 20 years. And yet he got his first dog in 2005 - 18 years ago, and started training him for freesbee competition. Same year he applied at PetSmart for dog trainer (even though having no formal education). In 2006 he already started teaching others how to do it on TH-cam 😄 Now, there is a professional. That progressed fast. At least Dog Daddy spent childhood playing with and observing dogs - some hands on experience. And Zack, if you really care so much of Dog Daddy's clients, go to his workshop and show em how it is done properly 😂
Dog Daddy has a very specific niche, he is exceptionally good at what he does which is dealing with bad dog aggression. Zak couldn't in his wildest dreams do the type of training and have the degree of success that Dog Daddy has. The only thing Zak George has mastered is the use of logically fallacies, articulate Gish galloping and taking things out of context, he also uses his wife's degree as an appeal to authority. George needs to reach inside his pants, find his set of balls and go head-to-head in real life with any of the balanced trainers who has extended an invitation. Disparaging, verbally slandering or writing libelous content is not protected speech under the First Amendment.
Zak omg stop it ! You r not showing the whole videos of dogdaddys training! Let's see you get the akita under control, or aggressive GSDs holy moly... thank you guys for this podcast. I loved your interview with Augusto, really class act considering the storm he's going through..I have a GSD that cd have definitely used him! She's 6 now and has had tons of training lol... he or Larry krohn cd have nipped her into shape... when she was younger. Instead of 3 trainers and $$$..love your show❤
I agree with this actually when he hasn’t called out certified trainers with similar techniques because he knows he cannot get away with it. THOMAS DAVIS ❤ NO BAD DOGS
Pardon the pun, it he’s definitely bitten off more than he can chew. It’s far beyond DD and hits the whole industry by pushing to involve the government because he’s too much of a wuss to handle life like a grown man (what could go wrong there 🙄)
@@lyssgoddess I'm repeating an earlier comment. It's because Dog Daddy is the most controversial and the easiest to attack. Certification has nothing to do with being an excellent dog trainer, there are lots of trainers who aren't certified and are incredible at reading the dog and correcting its problems, there are also certified trainers who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Davis is good at marketing and presenting himself in a way that's milk toast boy next door. George may be an idiot, but he's not stupid.
How can I help DD? Help with a letter ? Lawyer ? Defamation of character. I’m sure he’s how you look into that, but there’s got to be something at the people who love what he does, and agrees with the method how he can help. I’m sure is a lot more of us
Great reaction! Im in support of DD. I've seen results and DD doesn't hide his love for animals. Hopefully in time I can be a positive trainer too. Character of a person is everything and that Zak spew negative vibes. Keep up the good work! 🍻👍🏽✌🏽
39:46 Does Ivan Balabanov count? Steven R. Lindsay, who wrote the "Handbook of Applied Dog Behavior and Training"? Victoria Lea Voith, Charter Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists, President of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, who wrote the foreword for the same book? First few names that popped in my head, I'm sure there's plenty others if you do this for a living. 41:43 Who is we? Have I missed the video where Zack is training dogs who aren't puppies, small, or mild mannered, to a decent level? Where do I see the videos of Zack off-leash heeling a 40 kg dog downtown?
Zak uses every emotive tactic in the book when presenting his cases & imo absolutely loves to gas light viewers as not being as educated or informed as himself.
100% hahaha he’s such a joke. I was on his live yesterday and saw it first hand. He also thinks he gives good answers to our questions but he does not. All he goes back to is those surveys and trusting the science. I cannot believe how much he compares humans to dogs. It’s quite insane.
He & his weaponised followers had better watch their step. D.D. coming to London. Doxing is illegal & an offence here in the U.K. with a hot line to report it unlike in the U.S.
It is only a matter of time before a ZG fan attends a DD event and opens fire because they are a loose cannon. Give ZG plenty of rope to entangle himself. Hate to see it happen....
DD has helped me with my "ESA" dogs & with my relatives dogs via DOG DADDY VIDEOS!!! I love this awesome young man! Augustos has help us so much... for years!!!❤❤❤
I started following Zac George just because I was interested in training a puppy. But I've never seen videos of him training out-of-control dogs, just puppies.
Ive never seen a video of DD abuse or hit a dog. He does what’s necessary to communicate to a dog that needs to understand what alpha is! DDs beautiful German shepherds are amazingly well behaved, not the least bit timid and shy or afraid. They are very sound well behaved dogs. That tells me a lot!
I just wanted to say this again because I reread my previous comment and hahaha it was venty. Thank you Davidthedogtrainer for covering these stories!! I no longer click on any Zak George videos because I decided I don't need the stress. But being a dog trainer, I love to stay up to date. So thank you!! And man listening to you and Josh point out the stupidity of the thing is hilarious and lights up my work day 👍👍👍
2 additional points, this is the same targeting strategy used against people like Alex Jones, and second, I do believe Zac’s wife plays a big role behind the scenes.
Thanks, guys, for explaining what this feud is about. As a Dog Daddy devotee and animal lover you can guess what side I am on. This Zak George needs to look into his heart and find out what his real issue is. If he can't do that, he can explain it to Jesus someday.
Two words for ZG…LEAVE IT. It’s absolutely insane for continuing this debate. Thanks for showing his true colors, thereby proving how wrong he is, allowing everyone in the future to AVOID his bs. ZG is as fearful as the dogs that Augusto trains. Soon he will have no choice and will melt back into the darkness from which he came.
Dog Daddy doesn’t run on ego. He runs on truth. He has a true life calling and he’s dealt with a lot of adversity. That’s given him strength. You can’t knock him down because he’s strong in his resolve. A man with too much ego is so cringy. A man who loves to hear the sound of his own voice, is such a turnoff.
Zac and other advozealots define Dominance Theory in its most extreme forms. Dominance does not mean domineering. The dominant dog in a pack needs other dominant dogs.
LoL, the human negative reinforcement thing got me 😂. The lack of self awareness with Zac and his "wife" [ I don't want to assume genders here ] is honestly impressive. Also every time I hear his name which is 2 first names " Zac George ", I just can't take him seriously.
Zach is so obvious jealous of the dog daddy. Augusto is kind considerate and friendly . I was in his class last Sunday in Toronto Canada. He is good at what he does . And im for him. Leave him alone. You train your way. Let him do his magic. .
I’m in full agreement with you and your assessment of Zak George. Another very influential trainer that has no degrees is Cesar Milan. How come Zak isn’t going after Cesar? Many of his techniques of handling severe aggression (whatever the reason) are the same as Dog Daddy. He was using these techniques long before Dog Daddy appeared on the scene. What about the animal world itself? When a young dog goes too far in it’s play and the older dog corrects the younger one or a young dog is feeling its oats and challenges the older one for leadership status and the young dog gets put in its place the younger dog in both instances isn’t irreparably hurt emotionally. He has been taught where his place in the pack is and respect for the leader. Dogs in packs don’t use positive reinforcement to correct an unruly pack member. I had a 2 year old male Golden retriever and a young female German Shepherd. A time came when she got older she tried to dominate him in play, in food and in human affection. Her nonsense didn’t go on for very long, I mean not even a day. Was she forever emotionally damaged because of his correction? No. She learned how to play nice and stopped trying to take his food and stopped trying to bite him when I came in the room so she could get pet first. She didn’t become afraid of him because of the corrections. The opposite was the case, they stayed very close. Wherever Rusty was sleeping she was there too. I didn’t even get the chance to correct her because he did it first.
@@MiracleK9Training How so? Cesar is still helping owners and their dogs. His early videos were at people’s homes. Now he has a wonderful facility where people bring their dogs to him. Like you said on your show, I’d like to see a video where a group of people whose dogs are reactive come together and show us his method. Let’s see what kind of results he gets.
@MiracleK9Training it was fantastic! I never get involved with politics, disputes, protests etc....however this made me realize that if you're passionate enough about something it's not a tough decision at all. I would join a protest advocating for the balanced community in a heartbeat. I think we also should be more outspoken. They can't (he cant) try and destroy everyone. It's really frustrating for us especially, because our clients ONLY hear the media...I'm now showing up to clients that immediately say they don't want the use of aversives because now they've learned they're not needed. Despite knowing or getting referred from someone who used a balanced approach. Owners are so vulnerable to misinformation, and it closes their mine before even listening. Brooke and I ARE SO EXCITED for Garrett to return too! Keep fighting the good fight. 100% with you the entire way 💪
Oh, and just to be clear, a dog will stop fighting and pulling on the leash before it crushes it's own esophagus. Like a doctor and vet told me "pain is a good indicator to stop what you are doing". The only way you generally see a crushed esophagus is if the human did it by pulling too hard (which then might be too excessive UNLESS the situation called for it for example if a dog is attacking a kid. Then I'm gonna do all the damage i can to said dog) maybe a dog fight or HBC for example. But you have to catch their attention by letting them hurt themselves. And a tug on a leash is not abuse. So Zak, be smarter than the dog and put your feelings aside.
Sad how people have too much time on hands to worry about the way someone else does things! He just shows his true colors of what kind of person he is! Not one I would recommend..
I really like your show. New here and saw your topic. I agree with you. It’s apples and oranges and Zak can’t see the difference. Put up or shut up, Zak! Results matter, Zak! No results, matter too.
Thank you. You are logical, articulate, and brave. And you’re funny. 11/10 Thanks for helping me notice the (significant) difference between a dog “yanking & cranking” while a handler stays calm & steadfast v. a handler inflicting that behavior on an animal. I couldn’t articulate that before now, and it’s an important distinction. - DogMama to a Problem Rescue
Tampa: 11/25/23. The beautiful outdoor event venue that was rented for the Dog Daddy Training session had 5 Star reviews. When the people 'with the signs' finally found the location & showed up on the sidewalk outside the venue - her 5 star reviews dropped to 1 stars due to a flood of negative reports. Of course, participants & observers saw how effective the methods were without harm to the dogs [ranging from 10 lbs to over 200 lbs]. *** There is a Zak video describing 'torture' ... you will see a small snippet, without hearing Augusto's observations, guidance to the owner, & the dog's confidence improvement witin 5 minutes. I watched the owner have trouble controlling her dog in this social situation & in the proximity of other dogs. The dog was on a loose leash; she barked & shrieked due to fear, anxiety & she always got her way when her owner stopped trying to walk with her -- reinforcing this outburst due to lack of leadership. Augusto held the loose leash & the dog leaped in the air, shrieking in a tantrum. Then Augusto explained her behavior & the causes. She settlled down, walked & followed calm commands within 5 minutes. She then followed her owner's newly learned lessons. Success & a relieved owner. She did a great job during the rest of the class walking with her dog!
I’ve watched DD use positive reinforcement i.e. treats ONCE the dog calms down and is more under control willing to start following commands.
I think that people like Zac don't want to understand this . The initial contact is not training , like you said it’s getting the dog under control ! Cannot even begin to train until there is control !
Correct!
Oh brother!
People are welcome to train their dogs how they want to. I just don't want that forced on me.
@@MiracleK9Training I agree. Also, you said it well when you explained why he’s focused on DD in being the most popular at the moment. It does affect every dog trainer who isn’t like Zak. I hope people wake up and see through his manipulation.
Quick! Somebody toss Zak George a hotdog!

@@dogsfromthecity Zak doesn’t even understand that his dog claimed him. Hahaha he is not the owner, she is.
I like the free rent idea , that is so funny . And what Zac does not realize is he is giving Dog Daddy tons of free publicity !!
He has made many many people aware of the DD who did not know him before , way to go Zac !
DD and zack should have tourney with the most aggressive dogs, both using their own methods, see who has the best short term and long term results
Would be interesting to see but it’ll never happen
DD has offered $50K for just that! Zac won’t man up!
That is exactly what i just posted on dog daddys post! 😂😂 have a paramedic on the ready for zack!
Big nasty dog Zack would take one look at the dog wet himself & run the other way DD would look at the dog & run towards it
Zak has never in his life trained an aggressive dog.
Zak george should stay in his lane by just training puppies and poodles
He can't even do that he is an embarrassment
(I personally would take a beating over being choked any day...and yes I have enough experience with being beaten up pretty bad as a kid by my dad until I had visible blue/purple bruises all over my back and and legs)
But still inappropriate.
(no matter his training method)
When I saw him first time, years ago, with his "pack of German Shepherds", I already didn't like him. (I might lack of english terms to describe it better)
If you don't know that video, you might want to look at it.
I really appreciate the view and the kind words.

I told him that Dog Daddy was taking cases that no one else does. I told him that I felt he has an agenda against Dog Daddy (jealousy) to take the spot light from Dog Daddy to him.
Appreciate the kind words!
Dog daddy never said his techniques were his own alone. He has said that he learned from other trainers.
yup.

The more I see, the more infuriated I get. People like Zak are so destructive while thinking they’re doing good things. He’s too egotistical to say he’s gone too far and is wrong.
I want to see some videos of Zak trying to train severely aggressive dogs 😂😂😂
We’ll see haha
So, a snuff film
will never happen

To ZG's credit. He is extremely charismatic and makes very well produced videos. There is a reason he has gotten so popular.
He is like an evangelical preacher. The stuff he says and the way he says it make you question yourself. Like, oh I must be wrong he’s so confident in his argument that I must be wrong. That is gaslighting.
And Zacks type is scary for the implications you brought out tonight... MrK9, thank you .
ZG tactics are backfiring, making DD following stronger 💯
If you want to put an end to this discussion on what training saves the most dogs lives , investigate the past clients of both these trainers to see how many had to put their dog down after these two trainers methods were used .
I agree completely that that is the best way. The issue is most of the force free side never shows clients or has any testimonials long or short term of working with challenging dogs.
And from what I understand- Dog Daddy has saved countless dogs while Zac George's clients have had to put down countless dogs! There you go!

I was cracking up at that dog growling haha.

Having a real face to face conversation seems like the best way to start to enact some change if I were him.
It is frustrating to talk about because its so obvious that its not real life haha.

And the one time he did make a video about it he got bit lol 😂
So needless to say I don’t watch Zack anymore and it was his own undoing 😂
That will happen in the pursuit of destroying someone else for sure
You don't understand dog behavior. Just like most of the public. Ugh
You can see how happy, calm and relieved the dogs are after DD works with them.
Exactly!
I care about the well beings of others in this order:
1. other people
2. other animals
3. my dog
4. me
Whatever makes sure 1 and 2 are safe, i'll do.
I think the fine line of "do they REALLY care so much about this" is interesting to discuss.
Very well said..

Zak is an out-of-control dog himself. He has fear aggression and needs someone to give him guidance and to relieve his confusion. He has chosen the right guy. The Dog Daddy is the guy to do it and has him on a leash showing him that he’s not a threat.
He’s out of control currently for sure.

Money is the root of all evil.
you won't. They claim that if that puts the dog over threshold they can solve it without touching the leash.
I’m still waiting for those videos too, but unedited. Money does things to folks, especially when they are trying to monopolize an industry.

I think he’s helping people but I can understand some of the criticism. We discussed that in my recent interview of him.

Zaks hate, is deep rooted jealousy! He's dangerous, in the mental capacity, not like scary danger. Lol!
I believe his current behavior is starting to sound a little nuts.
Have you seen the liberals and leftists in America these days?! How well did their Seattle and Portland "chop" conservative-free zone work out?
These ff/pp/r+ zealots remind me of them
DOGDADDY IS AWESOME. STOP BEING SO JEALOUS OF THE GUY . ZAC GROW UP BUILD YOUR OWN LIFE . YOUR MAKING DOG DADDY FAMOUS. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME HIM . NOW ZAC BE ON YOUR WAY . LOVE YOU DOGDADDY STAY AWESOME. 😊

You deserve more following, I love this and I'm with dd, his success with dog training is undeniable
thanks for the support!
Oh. So. You happily have someone hang your dog?. Shock it? Prong it?
What a caring owner you are 😂
@@Lindsay6077 what an ignorant comment.
@@MiracleK9Training err. Why? It’s a simple question. “Would you want someone to hurt your beloved pet?
Zak keeps saying science based Training there is no such thing 😂😂
Its all survey based studies 😉 😂
Most of them are haha.
These business’s should go to the news about what Zak is doing
I'm sure that some are looking into what they can do to protect themselves.

Is anyone else concerned that the Zac protests will lead to someone getting ACTUALLY bit or attacked by participants being approached by protesters carrying signs and are highly stressed? OR retaliation from hurt businesses?
that's another good point that I didn't think of.
Absolutely!
Maybe if they protested after the training was over the dogs would no longer be aggressive and not bitey. Problem solved.
He looks like he’s lost a lot of sleep over this.
The Dag Daddy knows how to train dogs. He is not a wimp!
Lol thanks for watching
Zack mentions he's been warning about wrond dog training for 20 years. And yet he got his first dog in 2005 - 18 years ago, and started training him for freesbee competition.
Same year he applied at PetSmart for dog trainer (even though having no formal education).
In 2006 he already started teaching others how to do it on TH-cam 😄
Now, there is a professional. That progressed fast.
At least Dog Daddy spent childhood playing with and observing dogs - some hands on experience.
And Zack, if you really care so much of Dog Daddy's clients, go to his workshop and show em how it is done properly 😂
HA! Wild. Where have you found that information??
Wikipedia.
Yes, not the most reliable source, but I guess he would have intervened already if that was incorrect 😁
He’s not punishing them at all - he’s giving them security
I’m sure is a lot more of us
Don't focus on just him. Hell be fine with his large audience. Just keep spreading the word of good balanced training.

Does Ivan Balabanov count? Hell yeah, he does.
To Zak, he would not count. He isn't "vet certified"
Just found your channel and wanted to say thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The Dog Daddy 💯 Team Dog Daddy
Thanks for watching!
Zak uses every emotive tactic in the book when presenting his cases & imo absolutely loves to gas light viewers as not being as educated or informed as himself.
Lot's of talking down like people don't know anything about this stuff haha
100% hahaha he’s such a joke. I was on his live yesterday and saw it first hand. He also thinks he gives good answers to our questions but he does not. All he goes back to is those surveys and trusting the science. I cannot believe how much he compares humans to dogs. It’s quite insane.
Accurate
Absolutely, we are all non behavioural experts so we can't have an opinion

How long before ZG starts getting hit with law suits?
honestly.... I can tell Dog Daddy isn't that type of guy but you can only push a person so far, everyone has their breaking point.
Who knows. DD posted something yesterday about one.
He & his weaponised followers had better watch their step. D.D. coming to London. Doxing is illegal & an offence here in the U.K. with a hot line to report it unlike in the U.S.
Not soon enough.
It is only a matter of time before a ZG fan attends a DD event and opens fire because they are a loose cannon. Give ZG plenty of rope to entangle himself. Hate to see it happen....
Anyone inciting harassment and stalking on TH-cam should have their channel removed. It’s a criminal offence.
I'm not for censoring. I do agree its wrong though.
This came on my FYP and I enjoyed listening. New subscriber right here
glad you enjoyed!
DD has helped me with my "ESA" dogs & with my relatives dogs via DOG DADDY VIDEOS!!! I love this awesome young man! Augustos has help us so much... for years!!!❤❤❤
Glad you’ve found success!
Zak is so pathetic. What he’s doing to Dog Daddy, by focusing on him to that level, is called harassment.
It's just an insane amount of mental energy he is putting into it.
He’s obsessed and it makes him look absolutely creepy & crazy
💯
@@r.alexnovikoff6667yup I agree. It’s unhinged

I love you guys for supporting Dog Daddy, he loves dogs! He's an awesome young man. Thank you so much. I am now a subscriber to your web site. 🎉
Thanks for watching
I started following Zac George just because I was interested in training a puppy. But I've never seen videos of him training out-of-control dogs, just puppies.
generally that's all you'll find.
And man listening to you and Josh point out the stupidity of the thing is hilarious and lights up my work day 👍👍👍
I don't click on Zak's videos, because I don't want to financially support him.
2 additional points, this is the same targeting strategy used against people like Alex Jones, and second, I do believe Zac’s wife plays a big role behind the scenes.
They both sick on head, I sensed that long time ago.
I don't know much about her. That said, from some of the videos I've seen with her in it, she seems just as passionate about this as him.
@joannaochoa2403 l did too. I blocked him ages ago & l'm having difficulty listening to his whiny voice & his wife's. They are narcissists.
She is a complete nutter just as he is for sure.
Thanks, guys, for explaining what this feud is about. As a Dog Daddy devotee and animal lover you can guess what side I am on. This Zak George needs to look into his heart and find out what his real issue is. If he can't do that, he can explain it to Jesus someday.
Glad the episode helped provide some clarity to all of this.
Thanks for sharing the information. Clears up the confusion in my mind.
This is a fantastic podcast we for sure need to unite
Glad you enjoyed!
@@MiracleK9Training absolutely will be following for now on love what you do
Dog Daddy doesn’t run on ego.
Agreed
LoL, the human negative reinforcement thing got me 😂. The lack of self awareness with Zac and his "wife" [ I don't want to assume genders here ] is honestly impressive. Also every time I hear his name which is 2 first names " Zac George ", I just can't take him seriously.
I couldn't resist point out that haha.
Zach is so obvious jealous of the dog daddy. Augusto is kind considerate and friendly . I was in his class last Sunday in Toronto Canada. He is good at what he does . And im for him. Leave him alone. You train your way. Let him do his magic.
.
I think he has a crush on DD and wants to destroy what he can't have. I am an authority on this subject, it takes one to know one. Just sayin.
I’ve been told that BarkBox’s leadership is looking into his “activities.” I got that from inside BarkBox.
Very interesting.
If bark box is an advertisement and supporter... I hope they do.
Zak and all the force free folks have already launched a campaign against Cesar years ago and were fairly successful
It's not loading! But I'm excited!
Technical error I think!
hope you enjoyed!
I ❤ dog daddy. Some people are jealous of him, not surprising.
potentially. I think ZG is just trying to preserve his spot as number 1 TH-cam trainer.
What does ego have to do with helping dog owners and their dogs?
Sad how people have too much time on hands to worry about the way someone else does things!
He just shows his true colors of what kind of person he is! Not one I would recommend..
Everyone is welcome to their opinion but it can be tough when that opinion is then weaponized.
I really like your show. New here and saw your topic. I agree with you. It’s apples and oranges and Zak can’t see the difference. Put up or shut up, Zak! Results matter, Zak! No results, matter too.
Well said👏
Glad you enjoyed the episode!
Thank you. You are logical, articulate, and brave. And you’re funny. 11/10
Thanks for helping me notice the (significant) difference between a dog “yanking & cranking” while a handler stays calm & steadfast v. a handler inflicting that behavior on an animal. I couldn’t articulate that before now, and it’s an important distinction.

Negative enforcement or whatever you want to call it exists in nature we all sometimes learn from aversive training
“Negative reinforcement”. Many misconstrue it as punishment. Two separate things.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It’s pretty absurd the extremes they are going to to shut someone down while ignoring things like this.
