I have a 2007 Camry SE v6. Ages ago I recognized the car's potential w the 265 hp engine. I put C.A. I and TRD stainless pipes ( they are beautiful), TRD lowering springs, struts, drilled rotors, flex brake lines, aggressive wheels and rubber. What a stealth performer. The car has 165 k on it and it runs v. strong. It is amusing to see so many late arrivals to the v6 Camry. My old one is modest not menacing looking as the new ones but it has surprised many. Imagine thinking rotors are brake lines make a car cool 😂 and wheels/tires are easily changeable, they have nothing to do with the car. Only their fitment matters
D3 is very much worth it if you want your car to perform like it has the ability to. If you are a performance person and like to drive hard then go for it you won't be disappointed.
When I was a teenager the E46 M3 was the car everyone wanted. This is basically the same car but in a practical FWD sedan format. So yeah the mods are worth it especially for a modern affordable car that drives well.
This is what I've been saying to people, I have driven a lot of different cars but my Camry TRD is a hell of a lot of fun with and without mods. Tune is next up, then a cold air intake. I started off with a single resonator delete because it should've sounded like that out of the factory! Love this car to bits, there's even a Camry Club for 8th gens near me so that is really cool
Regarding the tune yes it is on all modes. So when you are in normal or even eco the tune for the octane and mods like Cai or headers will be in place. When you hit sport it adjusts the shift and throttle tables so you feel that extra kick. Additionally, using their software there is a shift plus which makes the throttle even more aggressive. Regarding the firmware that fixed the return to stock issue, make sure you have the 321 firmware which displays on Nguage at boot. It disabled the option to hit the check and select on the files that in the past would have bricked your ECU. You can still scroll through the files just only get the option to apply on the right file. One thing to note is at the last step when after tune when it says turn off key. Instead of turning off hit ok and go back to vehicle status info. If you see your VIN then the ECU is still communicating. If you don't *should not happen* then retune, do not turn off key. Once you turn key off it is locked. Just precautionary step I was told to take and takes only a few seconds to do. Nice vid guys!!
With the tune on my TRD, I'm getting a full second better time than the 2007 Camry does. That car at the lowest gets about 6.6 seconds, I owned one so I know it's true, in my TRD I get 5.5 on average. Once I get new tires I'll be able to time it again

On my Gen 7 TRD I’m trying to get the verbal tune on my camry. Can I just go to a tuning shop and have them add a verbal tune? Or do I have to buy a certain tune for a shop to do it? I know the d3 tune isn’t for my Gen. I have a 2013 Camry se TRD and need a tune bad for my car

You can't do tests with 2 people in the car, you aren't on a track and I don't know where to being if you can feel tenths of a a second faster with a tune that's crazy. You can't it's a tune not a turbo or supercharger. It helps get you there with more mods
I can't speak of the D3 but I can about the Cobb Access port for a WRX. The stage 1 tune that is meant for a stock setup just seemed to improve how the engine operated by moving the peak of its power band from the low end to the mid range where it was more useful. Before the tune the car would run out of steam early in the revrang. Plus it did get a sight gain in MPG as it is no longer causing the turbo to boost so early and so strong. Basically it now drives how it should had from the factory. So I would say that the Stage 1 tune puts less strain on the motor and turbo.
I have the base model 2019 Camry. It’s not the one that you guys are flying around in but it’s still pretty goddamn fast. I shouldn’t admit this but I have taken it over 130 miles an hour many times and it rides just like a Maxima. Can I do this stuff with my car? I know it’s absurd to spend $5000 on a base model Camry but can I do that stuff? I didn’t expect to get wheel spin on grippy tires above 20 or 30 miles an hour but I have a couple of times. For a base model vehicle that is pretty impressive.

I get 287 to the wheels with minor weight reduction, tune, CAI on my TRD. That being said it doesn’t matter because even with summer tires the wheels spin like crazy with no LSD.
There is a firmness to hitting bumps. Not overwhelming by any means. Still comfortable with a little more sportiness to response, look and cornering ability. Confidence inspiring for sure.
I don't doubt we will see gains on a dyno. If it does not add to the experience of driving the car, minimal acceleration gains. Does the dyno matter, or just tossing more money out the window?
Come on now! How in the hell is the GR Yaris out performing the Camry? The Yaris is getting more attention than the Corolla too. This is why people are trying to mod. The Camry' s HP and TQ should be much higher especially the TRD. Toyota could have at least went 301/301.
I mean it’s a Camry, how much more hp can it actually produce. In the end it’s purpose is reliability, this will definitely take that factor away, replacing it with only moderate speed.
I have put a aem cold air intake also twin 21/2 inch aftermarket hi flow cat back exhaust and a jet v plus performance module on my Camry v6, cheaper than d3 performance gauge and it sounds better.

Hello ! I have a 2020 XSE V6 with AEM Cold air intake and iDrive along with a D3 Performance Tuner . Also have a MF exhaust system. IDrive itself makes a HUGE difference. D3 Tuner does make ur car feel more like a beast . Any questions feel free to ask . God bless !
Get rid of the cold air intake and go with a short ram.
If you’re worried about heat, install an intercooler or fans.
Can you tune a 2015 XSE with the V6?
the 3.5 v6 came out way before that. my 2003 xle came with it stock
It was heavily revised
Hey bro how are you doin? Could you tell me what I have to buy to get like that or better? I have the same car
I'd just do the magnaflow exhaust and intake
Is it expensive to test stock vs tuned on a dyno? Butt dyno is so subjective
A bit expensive yes
ok but your 0-60 measurement was using GPS and GPS is the worst thing you could think of relying on for a 0-60. i mean maybe just get a fix it tool and plug it in to the OBD2 port and on the app it wil measure your 0-60 from the cars data for speed and throttle and its own timer.
Gps is one step above one mississippi, two mississippi..... So there is that.

My v6 gen7 is tuned by R9k and I’m telling you it is lot faster than the new v6 camry
@@phansclan5785 I just got my car tuned by my mechanic. Nothing crazy with that ship is more of like restoring power. He told me that I need to find a job that he can program to my car but I don’t know what is a good one to go with. I have a 2012 through 2014 Toyota Camry SE 2.5 L it’s pretty fast though lol for what it is. I just wanna chip it for now then I think supercharge one day soon. I need to make a updated video
@@phansclan5785 I can promise you, you’re car isn’t touching my 2023 xse v6
@@Seth-fo6rf what have you done to your camry? And I believe you your car is quick
The dude in the blue shirt looks like the guy from American pie
You can't do tests with 2 people in the car, you aren't on a track and I don't know where to being if you can feel tenths of a a second faster with a tune that's crazy. You can't it's a tune not a turbo or supercharger. It helps get you there with more mods
We broke the rules
Does D3 add more strain and or wear to the motor as turbo does? And do you get poorer mpg?
They claim it increases mpg actually. I can only imagine it causes strain. Because it has a higher redline
What are the Dyno numbers and is there a 1/4 mile and 0 - 60 time?
No idea
@@PerformanceOnWheels welp 😕
She gone now
@@PerformanceOnWheels fun while it lasted 👍🏾
Sure was!
If you managed to put AWD and a supercharger it's basically a Lotus Sedan.
Basically.
Why not dyno the car before and after???
We talked about that multiple times but never followed through. Next time.
I got a Camry TRD would this increase its HP my much?
i’m dropping my camry off to y’all 😂
Bring it on by
me too mines a Le tho :(
@@johncruz4455 not bad
@@PerformanceOnWheels really
Can you do this to a 2022 Camry le????
No you need the v6
Does this sort of tune work on The 2012-2014 SE Camry versions ? And where do I get it
What could I do to tune my ‘14 camry? Looking to remove the speed limiter
@ 15;30 throttle response >>. yes sir
I really honestly think that the Nitto tires are better than Michelin. That’s just my opinion
All depends🤔
I have the base model 2019 Camry. It’s not the one that you guys are flying around in but it’s still pretty goddamn fast. I shouldn’t admit this but I have taken it over 130 miles an hour many times and it rides just like a Maxima. Can I do this stuff with my car? I know it’s absurd to spend $5000 on a base model Camry but can I do that stuff? I didn’t expect to get wheel spin on grippy tires above 20 or 30 miles an hour but I have a couple of times. For a base model vehicle that is pretty impressive.
For the specific mods done to this one. You will need the V6
@@PerformanceOnWheels but is there a market for my car? Yeah you guys are definitely faster than me if you have a V6 lol and I am going to guess you got the all-wheel-drive version which didn’t exist in 2019
@@PerformanceOnWheels I would pay to ride around in your Toyota while you’re ripping it So I could feel the difference lol I know that’s not a realistic request
Just found out that OV tune for the Camry XSE V6 only gains 10-15 HP. D3 dyno vid shows a 30 HP gain with 93 tune and cold air intake.
We are planning a 1/4 mile day early October...... Curious what we will find out there.
Does anyone mod their Sportivo wti?
How much hp you gained from the tune?

I have a 2021 camry XSE can y’all tune that
You basically just buy it and plug it in
What would you suggest to improve acceleration on my 2021 camry xse? I am about to buy aa cold air intake by K&N and I read this will help. Id love to hear your thoughts and suggestions to improve my cars response
Response..... Go with the pedal commander or the tune. (Void warranty.). Improve your experience cold air intake and exhaust. (Void less of your warranty.)
@@PerformanceOnWheels I don't think a plugin tuner that reverts the ecu to stock settings upon removal or the removable throttle controller would void warranty
Do you know anything about ChipYourCar? They are located in Anoka, MN I believe.
No. But just looking briefly....it looks like a gimmick to me.
idk anything about cars but if you tune the camry trd how much horsepower would u get
I get 287 to the wheels with minor weight reduction, tune, CAI on my TRD. That being said it doesn’t matter because even with summer tires the wheels spin like crazy with no LSD.
Looks Nice !!!! ( need to shave off that Camry off in the back)
It's riveted into the truck
What can I do for my 2019 Camry se performance wise
Lowering springs
Ig @GROCERYGETTERPERFORMANCE throttle body spacer. Great bolt on product
You guys really need to install a turbo... I would pay to see that video.
If you get us 100k subscribers. Done.
@@PerformanceOnWheels that might be impossible man
@@kurdweeb599 not really, tho it will be a challenge cuz this car has a lot wires n sensors
@@Yes-ls7fv I mean yeah, but 100k subs? That is a lot to ask for I think
@@kurdweeb599 maybe he knows he won’t reach it n will save him the trouble for trying to turbo this car 😂cuz I would do the same tbh
Is this usable for Avalon xse 2019...?
No it has a different computer
Does it still have a smooth soft ride on those Eibach springs? Or slightly different?
There is a firmness to hitting bumps. Not overwhelming by any means. Still comfortable with a little more sportiness to response, look and cornering ability. Confidence inspiring for sure.
Test on dyno for make sure your gains!
I don't doubt we will see gains on a dyno. If it does not add to the experience of driving the car, minimal acceleration gains. Does the dyno matter, or just tossing more money out the window?
@@PerformanceOnWheels You should take it to a 1/4 mile track and run it with and without the tune on.....
🤯🤔 guesses on time?
@@PerformanceOnWheels 12.5 @ 103MPH
why doesnt trd make a cold air intake for camry xse??!!
Great video...That hood insulator looks pretty torn up. Hopefully you didn't have rodent problem.
What rims and tires are y’all running?
Niche wheels 19s. On pilot sport 4s
At the end of the day, it’s still a Camry. 😂
Lol a camry that can do 0-60mph in 4 seconds. Soon to be 3.5 bro in setting up a turbo kit on mine. Best sleeper
For a reason camry is #1 don't let me talk about the old supra #1long lasting motor in the world Toyota is Toyota
Can i give you guys my Camry to tune😂 its 2023 SE
Come on now! How in the hell is the GR Yaris out performing the Camry? The Yaris is getting more attention than the Corolla too. This is why people are trying to mod. The Camry' s HP and TQ should be much higher especially the TRD. Toyota could have at least went 301/301.
Agreed
I mean it’s a Camry, how much more hp can it actually produce. In the end it’s purpose is reliability, this will definitely take that factor away, replacing it with only moderate speed.
It definitely doesn't gain much but it was a fun daily
You should just race a stock Camry Xse v6 😁
Lol.. literally was just talking about that. Also planning a 1/4 mile day before winter.

I have put a aem cold air intake also twin 21/2 inch aftermarket hi flow cat back exhaust and a jet v plus performance module on my Camry v6, cheaper than d3 performance gauge and it sounds better.
I love everything about my Camry but the lag is just uggggghhh!!!!

You got the new Dynamic Force V6 engine. Engine code is V35A-FKS and it is not related to the model year 2007 V6 engine the 2GR-FE.
V35A-FKS V6 came new in 2017 to replace the ageing 2GR-FE V6
Incorrect. The engine code is the 2GR-FKS
How did you wrap your center console? I just got vinyl but I don't know where to start. Did you take the center console out?
No wrapping involved. It was a direct piece replacement.
