Love when bands do the tutorials themselves for us so we can learn it along with some awesome back stories of the song itself. Finger eleven doesn't get enough love IMO. This and living in a Dream are amazing songs. That and of course the famous song for Kane 😁 practically grew up with this band childhood wise kinda lol
Man I remember from 2008-2012 this song was in so many videos and I got annoyed hearing it multiple times per day 😂 I love this song now and I'm glad it became a meme again
ya get a 60s fender strat i got one its the lake placid blue the fret metal things are shaved, bridge it fixed and ajusted and only needs double pickups-my uncle gave it to me and had it for years,he put a lot of work into it.its a nice guitar, good choice
Ignore everything you think you know about the guitars you think you want. Then go to a decent store (or stores) and play with a ton of different guitars from different manufacturers. Even models from same manufacturer have different neck widths, pickups, etc. Listen to the guitars clean and overdriven. Try to listen through an amp the same/similar to your own at home. THEN decide. Ignore the name on the headstock - what feels and sounds right IS right!
Saw finger 11 in North Battleford, Sk. At the casino Long time ago , it was great ! Took my dad and to this day he always fucks up the name and calls them 11 fingers haha
oh i meant which strings was he holding down.. i cant tell i have bad eyesight ive watched this over alot of ties but still cant get it quite right... and my guitar is tuned..
Lasousu3, the frets he is playing in the video which he claims to do on the album version are all on the low e and are as follow -0-16-14-12-11-x-11-11-12 :|| Have fun with it cheers
@@harshgharlute9524 this comment section is insane, there's still people from 13 years back here! This is amazing, I have never seen a video so well preserved as this one
At 4:35 it kind of sounds like the riff to "The Cars-Moving in Stereo". Except I think Paralyzer made millions more than any Cars song ever did, which is too bad because The Cars made a lot of great music.
Been trying to learn to play this song with Rocksmith 2014. I knew they had to have done something with that lead verse part! It was weird/funky to play but seemed like it shouldnt be lol
Here's the deal. Yes, Gibson owns the Epiphone name but Gibson has Samick make the Epiphones in Korea.Gibson owns Epiphone but they are not made in the USA by Gibson. Epiphones are made in Korea by Samick. Samick is the largest guitar manufacturer in the world. They make guitars for many companies. They also make guitars under their own name. Some of the less expensive Epiphones are made in China.
Lol now that I reread my comment I guess I came off as stubborn and rude. I'll admit I am somewhat of a visual/auditory but I was only able to get the beginning of the rhythm guitar. I also believe this should've been more in depth mainly because of beginning guitar players
I meant millions as in dollars only and only in comparison with any individual Cars hit, not colectively. But you'd be surprised how close the dollar amount for paralyzer alone would compare to all of the Cars hit singles combined. You have to consider that there's a huge pay scale difference between these two era's.
hey does anyone knows the tabs for bass? i can only find bass covers here in utube but the real ones? and i have tried to search from google but i really dont get those, i just wanna know is it fast for bass or slow or what.. please help :S
What an elitist comment. They're showing exactly how they play it. They even say so "this is how I played it in the studio", "this is how I play it live". WTF?? It's an intermediate lesson because it's an intermediate song, but whatever makes you feel superior.
Dude this comment section is a real time machine, it's so happy and nostalgic to see people from 12 years ago here. Amazing
❤️
I wish guitarists did this more. Really awesome stuff. Seem like nice guys who would be fun to jam with too.
4:30 to skip to the actual instructions. =)
İ love 9 years ago you

man u guys are great for taking the time to do this. My band is learning it. how much better does it get than to learn it from the composers
We’re playing this at our summer rock band camp! Glad you guys posted this :)
I like the force coming from "Paralyzer"...Also like the bass line, few notes spinning arround...very powerful and effective! Great!
Man I remember from 2008-2012 this song was in so many videos and I got annoyed hearing it multiple times per day 😂 I love this song now and I'm glad it became a meme again
I love this song and this band! ❤☺👍

I watched them in concert at our fair on Friday 8/2/2013 amazing show got to talk and shake the lead singers hand
Its interesting that riffs just happen to musicians :D !
I'm gonna play this song on december 21st. Just for the record, I do not believe the world will end on that day.
Just for the record, the world did not end
this is a reeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllly good song guys!

yea, on tour with chevelle they mixed in take me out, another brick in the wall, and paralyzer together for their ending song.
Loved this song before I watched this video. Now I not only love it, but appreciate how complex it is. (To me at least, I suck at music.)
this song is so fun to play
those first few notes sound like " In Stereo" by The Cars
yeah
love it!

oh i meant which strings was he holding down.. i cant tell i have bad eyesight ive watched this over alot of ties but still cant get it quite right... and my guitar is tuned..

Been trying to learn to play this song with Rocksmith 2014. I knew they had to have done something with that lead verse part! It was weird/funky to play but seemed like it shouldnt be lol
Still a great song regardless. Awesome that they did this video too
According to Wiki, they actually are a metal band, and this was their sort of "commercial" song,
around 4:00 they start playing

plz begging you guys to make a tutorial for slow chemical...plzzzzzzzzzz ;)
Let's call this a lesson but not show you how to play the song! Genius.
Seeing them play it up close is the intention. Most musicians can learn just by looking at someone else play
Lol now that I reread my comment I guess I came off as stubborn and rude. I'll admit I am somewhat of a visual/auditory but I was only able to get the beginning of the rhythm guitar. I also believe this should've been more in depth mainly because of beginning guitar players
men i met them and their actually really cool!
put the onre to the right offered me weed
but he was drunk so i don`t blame him.
Hahaha, when he plays that intro riff slowly it sounds like the intro to Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden.

Also, Finger 11 is on the same label as Creed. That label only had 2 bands. Now 1...lol
