Today we explore the Schuberth C3, the world's lightest, quietest and most aerodynamic modular helmet with integrated Sun Visor.
Manufactured in Schuberth's state of the art facility located in Magdeburg, Germany, the C3 is the perfect synthesis of Schuberths latest design and engineering achievements. The Skillful blending of form and function come together in this intricately crafted modular helmet.
Beginning with it's compact and light weight shell, the C3 achieves a feather lite weight of a mere 1650 grams. The Triple composite shell made of Fiberglass, Kevlar and dyneema are formed using Scuberth's proprietary bag molding process , creating the S.T.R.O.N.G fiber outer shell. This manufacturing technique produces a shell that is perfectly uniform in consistency.
Designed and Extensively tested in Schuberth's own in house wind tunnel, the C3s light weight is coupled with advanced aeroacustic protection. The C3 helmet has been designed to eliminate as much road noise as possible while allowing you to remain cognoscente of your surroundings. Allowing a mere 84 decibels of sound to reach your ears, the C3 remains untouched in this category, with most competitors averaging between 10 and 20 decibels louder.
Pair the Quietness and light weight properties with Schuberth's advanced aerodynamics and the C3 is simply in a world of it's own. From the trubulators molded into the face shield, to the optimized outer shell, the C3 slices through the air with virtually no buffeting or resistance. Taking advantage of its aerodynamically optimized shell, the C3 ventilates over 7 liters of fresh air per second, keeping you cool and comfortable even in the most extreme conditions.
The C3 Features a simple to use one touch chin bar system. By simple pushing foreword with your thumb, you can open the modular chin bar. The chin bar locking mechanism features a Stainless steel on stainless steel closure system ensuring effortless performance and reliability.
The integrated sun visor incorporates a wire driven system, providing positive forces, which both push and pull the visor into position. This system allows you to quickly adjust to surrounding lighting and weather conditions. Simply sliding the lever on left-hand side of your helmet the sun visor will deploy or retract.
The micro lock chin strap offers a simple to use, highly adjustable closure system, simply sliding the strap into the buckle will allow the system to ratchet into the desired position. Pulling down on the red release tab will allow the strap to be removed quickly and easily.
Both the sun visor and the face shield achieve an optical class clarity rating of 1, meaning that they are virtually distortion free, providing you with the most crystal clear view possible. Not only that, but the C3 come standard with a pin lock lens for superior fog free performance.
The C3 features a fully removable, machine washable moisture wicking interior liner. Both cheek pads as well as the crown may be removed and cleaned for care free maintenance .

Not only does the C3s offer many features of convenience, it also incorporates industry leading safety technology. The C3 features a triple density EPS liner for advanced impact protection, which meets both the ECE 22.05 and the DOT safety specifications. The AROS system or anti roll off system and the C3s 360 degree reflectivity add additional protection to this class-leading helmet.
The C3 is also available in a Women's version. The C3W has been specifically engineered for women, from it's plush memory foam, hypo allergenic and anti bacterial liner, to it's specifically contoured interior. The C3W includes all of the safety and technology features found in the C3, tailored specifically for women riders.

Bought a C3 Lite because they were supposed to be quiet, wind noise is just as bad as my super-cheap $60 helmet off Amazon. Returning.

I would not recommend one to anyone! I have 2 C3 Pro One for me and one for her. Both leak rain pretty good. That is with all vents and visors closed. We weren't even in heavy rain. My 200 dollar shark held up great in HEAVY rain and let very little water in. So much for being the best on the market. I emailed Shuberth and a week later... silence. Go figure. Guess what I won't buy again
