Stephen, THANKS for the nice words. You will see the Schuberth collar setup leaves a little to be desired. So when you figure this out give us a call and move up to the SENA 30K ;-) Check out the videos we have done on them recently. RKA
Hi BMW Guy I have no idea. This video was done 3 1/2 years a go as a courtesy for Schuberth helmet owners. This system is now very very old in Bluetooth standards. I hope the video helped you a little but you may want to down load the manual from Schuberth and study it yourself .... Good Luck.
@@richardbattles9122 Agree. But its been reliable and served my purpose. I ended up adding the SM10 to Ch 1 so I lost the Bike Interface (AM, FM, SAT, WB and AUX) but still maintain GPS on Ch 2. The SRC FM seems to work OK with VOX. I added a V1 Remote Audio Adaptor to the main SM10 port. I may add an MP3 to the second port at some point. Thanks for your response!
Not sure whether to get the SRC or Sena 10U for use with my C3 Pro, Nav 5 and iPhone. Which would you say is the best option for connecting all three and also a second 10U/SRC unit?
Hi Antonio, They are both nice units, we sell SENA so you can see where I would go. The ease of use is a big factor and plus for the SENA. BUT I am not a fan of either the 10U or the SRC system. The SENA 20S is the one you want and has the best features for TWO up or bike to bike. Call if you like to discuss the features and benefits. Richard 707 836 7659 office
+leapsplashafrog Hi, The SENA has more features and connection ability. Remote control, HFP second phone, earbud port, Audio multitasking, to mention a few. ..... If you have, or are getting a schuberth helmet, IF you do not want an additional connects for Radar detector or CB/FRS radio, Only TWO A2DP connects like Nav V and BMW BT Module, IF you want the coolest look, IF you want to upgrade to 40mm speakers, TORK XPRO Speakers or the Splug earbuds which now can be plugged into the system ..... Then it's the Schuberth Helmet and SRC-System. I personally now have BOTH. When not using my CB or Rdara the SRC-System is STELLER when using upgraded speakers.!
+Richard Battles Hi thanks. I'm thinking of either buying the c3 pro with src or the latest Bmw system helmet with bmws own Bluetooth. Basically Bmw will not fit their Bluetooth system to a schuberth c3 pro. It's for iTunes via iPhone, sat nav 5 and occasional conversation with another rider. Would you say Bmw system or c3 pro with src?
+leapsplashafrog I do not know a thing about the Evo 6 BMW helmet and I assume you are in Europe. But I can say I am not and never have been a fan of the BMW BT system also it is not designed for bike to bike communications. SOOOOO C3Pro-SRC ;-)
ok I've worded it wrong. your BMW has Sirius, I saw it on your settings tap when you were scrolling through using the the thumb wheel. Did you have to add a satillite radio to yor bike or did you import a Sirius subscription into the Garmin ? thanks !
Ohhhhh ;-) Dave the 2011 and up K1600GT/GTL and the newer R1200RT's have a Bluetooth audio system WITH XM/Sirius. It does NOT come through the GPS it comes through the BMW Audio system. It's like XM in a car when you buy it. You just need to activate it with money ;-)
SOOO Reggie R2 you are hurting my head ;-) You can do whatever you want. I cannot give every scenario, every profile, everything that could go wrong and why. Kathy and I are Schuberth FANS we own SIX 4 C3Pros and 2 SR2's BUT the SRC system is not the best choice and has a lot of flaws and limited uses, and is not easy to use the controls. I did this video to try and help you guys that are stuck in the dark side with Cardo. ;-) If you want to do the right thing go with a SENA 20S. Lastly I can say I know more than most of the tech guys at SENA so if you have a SENA question I can usually answer it. I will never say will it MAY work, If I do not know the answer I will find it and get back to you ASAP. The Cardo SRC system not so much ;-( That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;-) Ride Safe!!!!
Thanks...i used your video to configure my 20s with my k1600. The othly think i dont like about the 20s is the mounting. If only got the clamp to fit perfectly on my HJC helmet. My nolan no dice. I bought a 10R which i love. Simple sticky mount. Now i want to upgrade to the Schu C4 with the new sc1 made by Sena. I was looking at the C3 as a fallback because of the limited availability of the C4. Thanks for all of the videos. Your channel is definitely a resource for me.
When I found this I was so happy to try it on mine and what a surprise? It does not work, and has to go back to my own set up to make things to communicate to each other. 2016 BMW R1200RT LC, thanks to BMW and Garmin that made things difficult for every one.
Hi Tony, I produced and directed and edited this video I just watched the 3 minute video again. IT DOES WORK in fact there is NO OTHER WAY TO DO IT. I also want to make it clear that this is a courtesy video and the Schuberth SRC system is at the bottom of my list for features and usability. Watch this video to see what the SENA can do. How to: Connect a SENA headset to your BMW, NAV V, & SmartPhone th-cam.com/video/3nB3JiPEqpQ/w-d-xo.html AND this one SENA .. The Full Monty th-cam.com/video/-fwlO2j9TME/w-d-xo.html Lastly we have TWO SRC units on our work bench and we have tested them extensively. SENA is light years ahead of everyone! Guess what the New C4 is using ;-)
Hello Richard, like I mentioned I was so happy when I saw the video and went out o try it on mine which 2016 BMW R1200RT LC with Nav VI and Samsung Galaxy S8+. It will not allow my phone to connect to Nav system and phone call will not connect thru Sena 20S. What I did was went back to my original set up which 1 Factory reset Sena 20s 2 Pair the Sena to phone regular way 3 Pair Phone to Nav the regular way 4 Pair Sena to Motorcycle as A2DP 5 Pair Sena to Nav as second phone I don not have the procedure written down but I do believe that is what I did and now I can listen music thru the motorcycle system, answer my call and Nav system will use the network for traffic avoidance. May be it works for you but not on mine and BMW, Garmin should get together to make things easier for us to use and enjoying the ride instead of paying attention or get distracted with the system.
Hi Tony, I am totally confused as to what you wanted to do. I OWN A 2014 RT AND THE NAV VI. This video is for the Schuberth SRC system NOT the SENA 20S The video I asked you to watch above is for the 20S. IF YOU CONNECT YOUR PHONE TO THE 20S AND THE NAV VI YOU WILL HAVE CONFLICT. This is by far the biggest issue that riders have. So anyone reading this, Tony is WRONG and as done a typo or missed a step. DO NOT CONNECT THE 20S TO YOUR PHONE IF USING THE NAV FOR PHONE CALLS
ahh yes ok. I bought a 2016 R1200 GSA. I do have 2 subscriptions for Sirius. One in my ford f350 and one in my Samsung S4 phone. I thought the cell subscription would play through my SRC and Schuberth helmet? unless I've paired wrong why wouldn't it Richard?
Thank you so much for this video. The 2.5 minutes saved me a ton of reading and I’m sure a lot of frustration. Exactly what was needed

thanks Richard ! honestly I'm finding the manual difficult to follow. I've gotten more from your vids than anywhere else; again thx!
Just follow pages 28 and 29 in your manual ;-)
i agree
Mr Battles: In your configuration, how would you add a Sena SM10 ? Thanks!
Hi BMW Guy I have no idea. This video was done 3 1/2 years a go as a courtesy for Schuberth helmet owners. This system is now very very old in Bluetooth standards. I hope the video helped you a little but you may want to down load the manual from Schuberth and study it yourself .... Good Luck.

Hi do you still think the src system is worth it compared to other systems like the sena etc? Does it work well with the iPhone and sat nav 5? Thanks

Thanks for your opinion Richard :)
+leapsplashafrog Your welcome, if anything I am opinionated ;-)
Is the SRC easy to operate on the fly with gloves?

Richard how did you get your sirius subscription over to the garmin?
Hi Dave, Maybe I do not understand the question. Sirius is NOT on the Garmin. The Garmin as it's own "Voice Dial" feature.
so....src pro to bike, src pro to nav, nav to phone? is there a reason why you it wouldnt be src pro to bike, src pro to phone, then phone to nav?

Hi Dave, Down load the XM app and play it through your Samsung to the SRC's second A2DP connection!!! When in doubt read the manuals ;-)
