I've tried their place on Main street and it's very good. I'm sure they'll be part of a future review of ours. And, check out our new review coming out Friday the 8th...it's a fuller review of one of the places reviewed in the video above. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁
I’m from Los Angeles and one thing I miss very much is that authentic Mexican/El Salvadoran/Guatamalan good food. Will definitely check these hidden gems out 😋😋😋😋😋😋

Daniel - goodness gracious and gracias ! All of these restaurants look amazing and your delectable descriptions and visuals are bar none. I have to say my favorite of these and it was a difficult decision, is Letty's. I've never been there but I shall go there for certain, to get 1. those taquito's dipped in mole and all that cotija cheese YUM. 2. the empananitos (msp) looked amazing - so delicate and flakey ! 3. then your highly recommended enchilada platter,.... I cannot wait ! Thank you !!! Similar to you, I was fortunate enough to spend quite a long time in Mexico (U of Guadalajara) followed by continuing college in San Diego and living awhile there afterwards. How I miss REAL Mexican food from both places.... Oh Wait ! That first restaurant you were showing an assortment of bakery items - and that hard crusted with inside softness bread roll looked like my ALL TIME FAVORITE: a bolillo. Could it be ?? Last Daniel, can you recommend your top Mexican restaurants in San Diego ? Or if you've done one, when ? I love returning to San Diego often and all my favorite joints are no longer their other than El Indio (which in the 1970-80s had great taquito's piled high.), and if you were even alive back in that time period LOL, my all time favorite Don Jose's on El Cajon BLVD. near 163, but alas the family retired.... good for them 🙂! CHEERS to you Daniel and I am a happy subscriber of length - so keep making us all happy with your wonderful, talented reviews-video's ! Sincerely, Marcia
Thank you so much, Marcia! I haven't been to San Diego in many years now. I've lost touch with what's available there these days. Anyway, hopefully you can get to Vegas soon and try out Letty's (or any of the 4 in our video)...you're going to love it, 😋😋😁😁
@@LetsEatVegas Thanks kindly Daniel and loving Mexican food as I do, I am bound to hit all of them in due time ;-) If you lived in SD during the 70's-80's, by chance to you recall a few of my favorite eateries ?: Don Jose's (El Cajon and 163), Old Triste (Morena Blvd), The Aspen Mine Co. (El Cajon Blvd somewhat near College), Anthony's Star of the Sea (right on the Harbor with killer abalone steaks), and one that I have YET to find anyone who remembers it: Carnegie A-440's (near UCSD on Carmel Valley Red close to the ocean - BEST PIZZA EVER !). Hope these may ring a bell 🙂 CHEERS to you and yours! m.
Ahh, old home week, lol. Old Trieste....my family's favorite. We were there all the time. The free appetizer fried zucchini was fantastic...did you ever have it? I remember Anthony's and Aspen Mine Co, but I don't remember Carnegie's. Did you ever go to Lubach's? This was another of my favorite places from back then. Also, for fantastic Italian food...'When in Rome'...they prepared Italian food very similar to the way I do.
@@LetsEatVegas YAY ! Love meeting someone who knows and fondly remembers some of the truly iconic SD restaurants. Yes to the fried zucchini appetizers - so thin, crispy, dusted with fresh parm and addictive. The owner, wait staff and cozy booths with little dim lamps - all fantastic. I use to order the Miro Special - heavenly creamy-ricotta-chicken cannelloni paired with a thick filet mignon - smothered in marsala mushrooms. LOVE the sound of your parents taking you there all the time ! Lubach's I hadn't remembered until you reminded me - and thank you for those fond memories of special occasions there. Speaking of special, did your parents take you to La Jolla's Top of the Cove ? Another lovely intimate restaurant with superlative views. One last one because this was and still is (even though they closed / retired in the 90's) was Don Jose's on El Cajon Blvd near 163 kinda sorta near Loyd's Furniture. Their Mexican fare brought me smack back to Guadalajara ! Ruth was the best server, knew we adored their guacamole and she'd pile it onto the saucer with what we called hoop-cheese spilling into the lower dish ! They had sit-as-long-as-you-like booths and each booth had its own mini juke box !!! I hope you went there.... If not, it'll be waiting for me therefore you, when we move on to join our parents Above - unless you are super fortunate to still have your folks here since we need more great people around ! Well, cheers again to you and yours, and when we make the trip to Las Vegas, your channel will be my guide... And any time you decide to travel to the Monterey area, feel free to tap me for some insider restaurants that locals swear by ! Ciao for now ! m.
Top of the Cove...YES! My mother and I went there all the time. I would go with my mother to Jergensen's (sp?) grocery store to buy soft shell crab and we would stop at Top of the Cove on the way for lunch. This is dredging up all these memories. I'm now reminded of Thee Bungalow. My favorite thing there was the Cumberland or Orange Duck. Chef Zigfried (sp?) was amazing. He befriended me (since we were there so often) and gave me a number of interesting culinary tips. Hmmm, never been to Don Jose's but now I wish I had...your description sounds great! Speaking of parents, I included a picture of them in one of our latest videos. It's at the very end of the video. OK, hope you have fun during your next Vegas visit. Sadly, no plans to get to Monterrey...creating these videos makes travelling difficult right now. Ciao!
Thank you! Hmmm, Egg Foo Young...I've been obsessed with it this year and had many dishes in our travels through Vegas. I think right now the best is at Coronado Cafe @Southpoint...make sure to get the vegetable one!
FWIW, chorizo doesn't HAVE to be made from the unspeakable parts, but the cheap stuff often is. Whatever the case, it sure tastes good fried up and mixed with scrambled eggs in a tortilla.
I've had 2 of the 4 on my list for awhile but all 4 look great! My go to as of late is Los Dos Amigos on West charelston. I've posted a handful of videos of the dishes . Check out the restaurant, the manager Ernesto is first class
@@LetsEatVegas Yes, is about 555Km to the border (I put it in Km’s so you can start feeling the Mexican vibe) if you want to take a drive in case you want to build some appetite, or about 230 Nautical Miles in case you want to take your boat.😝
Long time ago, about 30 years, we went to “Cast away” casino, mexican food there tasted it authentic, the guacamole and nopales were super tasty, I asked the waitress what part of Mexico is the cooker? waitress said is from the states not mexican.
I am so sorry I have to unsubscribe wanted to get to know both of you but you won’t let us so sad James and Paul always share with us and I love them great luck on your vlogs
Lettys is an absolutely great Mexican restaurant
I know!! Everytime I put together any clips of their food I have to get over there again, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting, 😁😁
It looks like the best of the 4.

Very easy, take a Uber directly to the airport, take a flight to anywhere in México and…Viola!😝
Really? There's a Las Vegas in Mexico??

12 taquitos for 4 dollars is a great deal.
Yes, and especially such fantastic ones!
The correct pronunciation of mole is MOH-leh.! As in guacamole.
Great! Glad you liked our video, 😁

Tacp y taco
oh! Thank you for reminding us. We came across this place last year and it looked good but we forgot about it...we'll check it out, 😋😋
What is going on with los Lupe's # 1 ?? Is 2 more authentic ??
As far as I know (from the owner), the food is the same at both #1 and #2. #1 is in Mesquite and #2 is here in Vegas. Is this what your asking?
Wondering if they were separately owned
No, same owner for both. I'm not sure why each place is so far from the other??
If you cant show the face after taking a bite its a FAIL for me
We don't show our faces (and aren't going to show our faces) as we want to remain anonymous. If that's a problem for you, well, such is life.
Lettys has a sister restaurant in Summerlin.
Hi! I just asked the owner, Leticia, and she said they had one years ago but no more.
"Hi, I'm from California. I'm better than you."
