I frequent a Korean Mart here in my province. It is managed by a young Korean who probably grew up here in the Philippines. Sometimes his Korean parents man the counter. Mukhang hinde sya marunong magbasa ng Korean based on our interaction. I often ask him to translate what was written on the food packages. It is only later when I got home to open and cook the Korean food that his description or translation of the packaging was wrong pala. He probably speaks fluent Korean but having grown his whole life here in the Phils, baka hinde sya ganun ka galing magbasa ng Korean.
