Nice review, I’m glad you pointed out the flaws. I want a LAT Pulldown machine and those things would definitely get in the way. I have the rep fitness Arcadia Max functional trainer and the pulleys are really good impressed with it so far. Im holding out for a stand alone LAT pulldown machine until they fix some of those issues especially the seat and the pulley in the way.
The Pegasus definitely has enough adjustments for everybody, unless you're a dwarf or 7+ ft tall it will accommodate you just fine. You just have to keep exploring the three adjustment options! The only thing I don't care for is the handle between the legs. I think they need to either relocate it or eliminate it in my opinion. Your videos are awesome Ashley!! ❤🔥😎💪
Appreciate the honest overview as always. Sadly the Pegasus looks useless with the handle in the thigh section (doesn’t look like you did anything wrong to me) and the little shortcomings you mention in the swivels prove that it’s not the ideal product even when compared with similar offerings already out there. Thanks Ashley, best overview I have seen so far.
You’re welcome! I love rep fitness . I have a ton of their products. I am here to be honest and give my professional review/ opinion in a helpful way . Thank you for watching. I appreciate the support and your feedback !
She wasn't using it correctly. The seat goes up high enough that someone with 1" thick thighs could be compressed under the pad. She needed to lower the position of the attachment on the rack--put it down a hole or two, then raise the seat up.
@@ashleytheamazing Yeah I have the pegasus so I know :) Hopefully the showroom guys will help more next time you get to see it! The seat, in the flat position, goes up so high that the leg rollers would squash a 4 yr old's thighs. Your trouble was that to get your feet flat, you lowered the seat rather than re-attaching the whole contraption to the rack at a lower point on the rack.
The top of the Pegasus attachment's seat pad can be set higher than the bottom of it's rollers and completely above the handle even with the seat pad set flat. As others have pointed out the Pegasus attachment was inserted a bit too high on the upright to demonstrate lat pull downs correctly and possibly the seat was not at it's highest pin setting. See time stamp ~3:37 in the Gluck review here: th-cam.com/video/VaB7ni5frAU/w-d-xo.html and maybe edit the review with a note?? Thank you for the review overall. There is a lot of info for an on-sight review.
you could also lower the whole thing on the upright, not just the two adjustment points for the seat. This might allow you to sit further back from the handle?
@@ashleytheamazing I mean when you're installing the unit onto the upright at 6:15, it looks like you could have the peg in a lower hole and have the whole unit lower. At 8:30 after you only adjust it using the two pop pins, your hips are still pretty high and above your knees which makes you have to sit closer to feel secured, maybe this is your preferred position, but if you move the whole unit down maybe then you wouldn't have to have the rollers so low as your knees will be higher up and therefore you could sit further back. May not work, I am just trying to help think of solutions.
@@grantholmes9847 Ah yes . I see what you meant . I am not sure , that may or may not work . It seemed to me to be I wanted to be able to lower the leg roller, as you would in a commercial lat pulldown. Lower it enough to secure the legs and then unlock to get in and out . Unfortunately I don’t own the Adonis, I was visiting the Rep showroom so I can’t try to see if this would work. 😞
Is it how you sit? I got it and have plenty of room to not even get close to touching the handle. I sit with my legs flaring not straight. I was able to sit on the back of the pad fine and have my legs locked in.
@@ashleytheamazing Feet touching the ground is not the problem you are facing. The seat is a lot higher than your knees. Try lowering the seat on the adonis rack by one or two holes. Then put the pegasus adjustment plate that has the least amount of holes to the highest setting. (at 7:59 you did not go to the highest setting) Then use the adjustment plate that has more holes to level the seat pad out. Not sure if this will fix it but I hope it does. This was a good review. I would love to see another video about whether these pointers fixed the issue or not because I was thinking about buying this seat or the prime fitness seat. Keep up the great work!
she's not using the pegasus correctly. Tilt the seat at the pivot. it will sit above the handle. then change the angle of the seat to suit, then raise or lower the whole assembly to get the right height from the floor, then adjust the knee rollers last
