Wait...i didnt realize this video was made by the company that makes these 3d printers... YOU have my respect!! I bought a older fosook 3d printer as my first and honestly i wasnt impressed with it being my 1st ever printer so i seen a review on the adventure 5m and was amazed how beginner friendly it is. So i got it arriving today and today i found this video on the enclosure! Thank you for proving this upgrade stl and video for free!! You have my respect sir! Thank you for being an outstanding company that cares for the customer's!!!
My Flashforge AD5M is on the way to me. This is my first 3d printer, and I'm super excited for it to arrive. I look forward to printing these enclosure panels after it arrives.
Very nice to have Flashforge company support with great videos. I just ordered my AD5M! Please let me know when the enclosure accessories kit is ready for sale!
ordered my 5m a few weeks ago. its amazing. decided to print the enclosure to help with holding in the heat as I was getting some warping on bigger pieces. it took a few days too get everything printed and its all put together. 1. it looks way better now 2. it holds way more heat 3. THIS DRAG CHAIN IS THE MOST REDICULOUS UNUSABLE POS about this build. all it did was kink up and bind in the back corner when needing to print on that corner. I could see it being very helpful without the enclosure because of the risers. I ended up just taking it off and shortening the feed tube about 4 inches. other than that, I'm very happy with the 5M and the enclosure.
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you're happy with the 5M and the enclosure. Regarding the drag chain, please check if the clips of the drag chain are installed in the right direction
Got my 5m last night and i am very happy with it. I sold my bambu labs x1c because most of the new printers have the same features and since the x1c held its price i sold it for almost the same price i got it for a year later. I didn't expect the 5m to be as good as the x1c due to the price difference, but i gotta say. The first layer goes down 100% perfect every time, unlike my x1c. This machine seems a tiny bit slower, but the quality is amazing.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear that you're happy with your new 5M. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we're delighted that the quality of the 5M meets your expectations. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out. How do I set up the print in Orca Slicer? It just loads the entire project onto a single plate. How do I separate the pieces so I can print them? Very unintuitive
Hi, please download Whole Project: wiki.flashforge.com/en/knowledge_corner/printer-mod-and-diy and open it in Orca, then these parts are automatically divided into 9 plates for printing.

The termination of the cable chain (drag chain) seems to have been way over complicated. Both the 100% DIY approach and the "kit" approach (with a replacement of the top of the hot end) seem unnecessarily complicated. The shoulder screw for additional pivoting at the hot end seems unnecessary, and it seems that the same concept was undertaken by whoever designed the 100% DIY solution as well. A simpler approach of a final chain-link piece with a modified end for rigidly attaching to the hot end should be fine. I am undertaking to design such.
I'm a new customer of your company, and a huge fan of your AD5M printer. I developed an easier, simpler way to connect the cable chain of the DIY enclosure. The design is available free on Printables. th-cam.com/video/A9MNIt4pA_Y/w-d-xo.html

Hi, please check here:flashforge.com/a/docs/knowledge-corner/printer-mod-and-diy#enclosure-for-adventurer-5m
Having an issue hopefully someone can help. So I installed this enclosure and now when I run level program its hits the enclosure on first point in bottom left then at the 5th point on first row then back left with the start of last row. Is there anyway to modify this with like .5mm to 1mm clearance? TIA.
Hi, please contact support@flashforge.com
How do I set up the print in Orca Slicer? It just loads the entire project onto a single plate. How do I separate the pieces so I can print them? Very unintuitive
Hi, please download Whole Project: wiki.flashforge.com/en/knowledge_corner/printer-mod-and-diy and open it in Orca, then these parts are automatically divided into 9 plates for printing.
The filament detector only accepts the filament in one direction. With this mod, you have to insert the filament the opposite direction.
How do you over come this?
Hi, please check the pinned comment
@@flashforge3d I did check that before posting, but its not clear what I have to do. Seems like I have to print a different spool holder? But the link to download the new holder just takes me to the standard site... Help?
@@flashforge3d I did check it before making my original comment, its not clear what I need to do. The video is confusing, and the link just takes me to wiki. What exactly do I need to do different for my filament sensor to work correct, in the right orientation?
Hi, you'll need to print a new spool holder. You can find the model in the Enclosure for Adventurer 5M section of our Wiki:wiki.flashforge.com/en/knowledge_corner/printer-mod-and-diy Just download the whole project, and the file for the new spool holder will be included there.
After printing the new spool holder, you can follow the steps in this video to set it up correctly: th-cam.com/users/shortsjIlbmUsubns This should help you get your filament sensor working in the right orientation. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out!
how do I get the new Extruder Top Cover for this DIY?
Hi, the cover is included in the accessories kit that will be released soon.
Can anyone advise on how much PETG is needed? Thank you
Hi, I don't quite remember, but you can try printing or slicing it. The model is available here: wiki.flashforge.com/en/knowledge_corner/printer-mod-and-diy
@@flashforge3d thank you very much
You're welcome!❤️️

Can you print ABS without having the external fans?
Yes, ventilation is required after printing is completed.

@@flashforge3d I figured it out, skirt was issue.
But while you're here how about you fix the account generation for Orca FF or Flash Maker? You can't get the 'code' you need to generate accounts.
Thank you for your feedback. We have passed it on to the relevant team members.
Great!
Is this an open source design?
Yes, you can download file here: wiki.flashforge.com/en/knowledge_corner/printer-mod-and-diy.
What slicer software is that?
orca
@@flashforge3d thank you, that's cool to see Flashforge using Orca. Do you guys have a configuration bundle for the ADV4 so it can use Orca?
Hi, we don't have
None of the links work, I just get taken to page that does "})". So I cant make anything.

Anyone know the second song??
Blue Ribbons
How many kg is used for this?
Sorry, I forgot. You can try slicing it: wiki.flashforge.com/en/knowledge_corner/printer-mod-and-diy

That's great. Looking forward to your design.😊
I'm a new customer of your company, and a huge fan of your AD5M printer. I developed an easier, simpler way to connect the cable chain of the DIY enclosure. The design is available free on Printables.

That's cool
