I like that you wear a head cam instead of trying to one hand stuff.

very good, straight forward. 153000 miles on mine, I keep a new pump in mine with tools to change it if it goes out while I'm traveling.

Super Big Thanks for your time and your knowledge. We tested everything else out and in fact it was a bad fuel pump. Success we are back on the road.

You my friend are a lifesaver!! I literally was about to drop my fuel tank because that's what my dad had to do in his Chevy blazer but figured I would search TH-cam 1st and your video came up 1st, I am glad I searched haha thank you sir!

Don't forget to mention, you need to replace the fuel filter with the fuel pump!

You didn't record the most satisfying part of the job turning on the escape

WOW, that tank was filthy on the inside.
great video but i would highly suggest you drain the tank, wipe it out then do what you did. also helps when the thank is nearly empty to start with.
My escape with 303K miles on it (not the engine) has nearly no power except when i change the fuel filter, for about 2,000 miles it drives great and slowly gets bad again. im doing this job and suspect that my tanks looks just as bad. doing the entire thing tomorrow.

Yeah man. Good stuff! Straight to the point. Personable. I felt like I was hanging out with a friend who was teaching me this. With patience. 👌🤌

Does this cause your car to stall often? This is what is happening to our latest used vehicle. Thanks for a great video

Quick question I have an escape that’s been sitting for a year due to a super bent control arm, finally got a new one on but I need to siphon the quarter tank of gas in it and new gas but it’s near impossible for me is far, I read I can access it through here to siphon but can’t find anything specific on it, would I have to take the whole fuel pump out to siphon the gas out??

Great video. The fuel lines on our 2003 Escape have small holes in each and spew gas (we think they were chewed by mice) How do we replace them please? I can't find a video anywhere!

the lines are not that high pressure. try using JB weld PUTTY, not the liquid stuff. that has workes very well for me with many things from boats to fuel lines (hard fuel lines) worth a shot for $3.00 at walmart.
