Kudajadri Trekking - Total 20 Kms of walk through the dense forest, Ambavanam.
Kodachadri (Kudajadri) is a mountain peak with dense forests (elevation - 1,343 metres above sea level) in the Western Ghats in South India (Shivamogga District, Karnataka), 78 km from Shimoga. It is declared as natural heritage site by the Karnataka Government. and it is 13th highest peak of Karnataka.

It is really a wonderful sight in top where shangracharya peedam is situated. I reached by a jeep in the base camp temple from where I had to trek one and half kilometers in a very difficult journey. Moreover I am 67 years of old and with heart decease. But the inherent ambition to reach the top and motivation by a jail officer I could go and experience the great beauty. All should try to see it.
