Its interesting to hear your opinion but according to someone say like George Lockhart - he advises the same sort of thing, feed the body what it needs when it needs it - BUT he does advocate eating protein before you go the gym because it will encourage your body to start burning and releasing stored carbs.. if you are aerobic your body runs from fats - if you are anaerobic your body runs on carbs AKA when you do a weight lifting session your body will use carbs. He does advocate that you want to eat carbs AFTER your workout not before it, eat protein before it. After it if you eat salt/fructose/caffeine it will stimulate certain receptors in the body to help repair the muscle.

Yes, I agree with most of it. Yo don't need carbs before training since you will be using glycogen for your high intensity sets. hat glycogen will be stored day before and never from the meal before your training. The question is, do you really need carbs for glycogen? Some people may eat them and still remain in good shape. Most of the people will have a problem with it. I don't like the strategies as 'off season' shape, which means nothing else but to get fat and stay fat for most of the year or years, and then get in shape before the show. That very stupid. You can also maintain in great shape year long (although not in the same shape as on the show), but that will require a bit more discipline and knowledge. Best, N

I find a mixture of Gatorade and bcaa during workouts great for being able to have more intense and longer workouts. I do blood volume training and back to back sets with high volume and I can do a lot more this way. Thanks for all the great videos

Very nice explain . But what about ectomorph ? The carbs are important for them . I know ,I am 46 and when training special legs. I need big meal before training session ,or if I just go on bicycle need lease banana to get energy . Also I think Arnold never skipping breakfast as he saying in the Encyclopedia .. I learning from this ..The book telling everything .. Even Frank Zane and Robby saying they have bread in the morning ,slice of tomato and 6 eggs ..

I don't like to generalise things. Certainly there are people that can get in great shape with even high percentages of carbs in their diet. If you feel that you need more carbs, and you are not getting fat, who in this world can tell you different? But, from my experience, I can tel that good 80% of people that are going to the gym are overeating carbs and therefore struggle with shape.

Great video, I know it may be a topic you might want to avoid for certain reasons but what about drugs? Or maybe even TRT?

    • @nashjocic888

Well, I will be talking about steroids and TRT in coming videos, there is no reason why not. Best, N

Ric Drasin said they substituted carbs for fat in those days so the fats took the place of carbs

I Don't agree, you should watch jerry brainum interviews about arnold he was close to him he loved food especially steak

What are you talking about? Nash clearly said that everyone back then (including Arnold) ate steak. At no point did he say that Arnold did not like food or that he did not like steak.
