The last like 4 shorts you've put out have been about things I've been researching for weeks, these literally could not come at a better time! It's freaky how tailored these videos have been 😂

I have a much cheaper version. In fact, it's free. My area has had heat advisories nearly every day for over a month. Just go outside, stay in the shade. It's like a sauna out there

Yup. Been 115°F or over, here. So many heat warnings and people still appear on the news for trying to hike in this weather and either need rescuing or they've died 🤦

I visit a sauna at least once a week and have never met a single creep 🧐 But in Europe we maybe have a different approach to being naked and using saunas I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ It‘s just no big deal to us.

an old man once stared at my nipple piercing. that's about it. and i used to go to the sauna weekly, alone. thank goodness for fkk. that being said people with sex-ambiguous bodies (intersex people, people medically gender transitioning, cis people with hormone imbalances) are reportedly given a harder time which is disappointing.

@@AirborneAshesAmerican centric perspective. Reality is a guy that does that will do it regardless of the environment.

sweating is for cooling down the body. Not sure detox is a mechanism of action for sweating.

😮😢 wow didn’t realize sauna was for creeps. I go regularly as do most people I know. Pretty normal and usual part of life for a chunk of the world. Amazing health benefits. What is creepy is your presentation seriously this was not thought through. 😢😢😢

Oh wait I thought sweating doesn’t take out toxins. I thought it was a myth. I sweat a lot and everyone tells me that’s good for my skin. I just laugh it off lmao

What's the difference between a sauna blanket and an electric blanket?

  • @frittsdonoghue478

What toxins are rid through sweating?

    • @Bendylife
      @Bendylife ปีที่แล้ว +12

This really confused me because most of your sweat is 99% water with very small amounts of salt, sugar, ammonia, protine and urea. Honestly though, its insuch small amounts and can cause dehydration and loss of electrolytes so i wouldnt really call this a good way to "get rid of toxins" since loosing all that water and stuff isnt very good for your or the look of your skin. We want to stay hydrated!

Sweat does not have toxins - whatever the F they are. Sweat is water and some salt.

So disappointed to hear from a supposedly real doctor saying sweating helps get rid of toxins. I hope there's actual research I don't know about. Otherwise, this is very poor quality content.

Risk of erythema ab igne from close contact with infrared heat? Or is that mitigated by using a fabric barrier?

  • @margiesweet6362

Not only that, because of the high heat, it can increase your blood pressure.

You kinda miss on this one. You're a certified doctor but still good to know about different cultures. In Scandinavia and some other cultures, saunas are almost part of their way of life and no one is getting creeped on by others. Thinking someone will creep on you why you choose to not go to a sauna is a creepy and quite frankly, very self centered mindset. Remember, north America is not the world.

Ok but what toxins does it remove? And how much? Isn't sweat mostly water, salt, and other minerals? And how big of a speed/amount difference does it make compared to just using ur organs?

A dermatologist who’s queasy about naked skin? Don’t like the Europeans, go to the sauna. Skinny cold dip afterwards. At home you are less likely to cool off properly afterwards. If you use a blanket don’t forget to take a cold shower afterwards. COLD, not lukewarm. Start with the extremities and shower your way up to the body, upper body (heart region) gets the cold shower last.
