    what do you think? is this the most beautiful city in mexico?

      No, y vivo en San Miguel. Hay muchas ciudades que considero más bonito, incluso la capital Guanajuato acá muy cerca.

      It is up there, but I am going with Merida, Campeche or Guanajuato. SMA is the least colourful of the four cities - and is limited by the various tones of terra cotta and mustard yellow.

    I totally agree with you on the “real Mexico” issue. PV is also very touristy,, but it’s still Mexico, with a large proportion of natives. My gripe is people traveling to Mexico and staying in resorts. They never see the Mexican culture, just the beach and tequila.

    About your question, San Miguel de Allende is definitely a gorgeous place with its unique charm, but there are many other towns that are also beautiful in their own way. The real Mexico is everything that as a whole makes Mexico a special country and so different in many ways. Like anywhere else, there is the good, the bad, the beauty, and the ugly not only places talking, but also people. I think it is about balancing all those and what the priorities are for each person to appreciate Mexico as their home. I remember well when Sergio told me that you want to show that Mexico is not what is wrongly shown in other countries making people think that is a third world country or dangerous, so I admire and praise the wonderful job you are doing meeting that goal. Thank you!

    • @sergtana
      @sergtana  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really appreciate this! But you have to pick one. What's the most beautiful place in your opinion? Haha

    • @monicawright3344
      @monicawright3344 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sergtana, unfortunately, I can not answer that question. I have not visited my country enough to provide an opinion. Out of the towns I know, my favorites are Pátzcuaro Mich., and San Cristobal De Las Casas in Chiapas, but I have not visited them in many years. I suggest you visit Pátzcuaro during DIA DE MUERTOS, you will enjoy it.

  • @RobertBadgett

    Quality is very nice. Better than most. I like the split screen slo-mo with front doors, but don't overdo the effect. I like how you emphasize the scenery. And you do it slowly. But a good panning speed. Many youtubers seem to think the viewers want to see them. The subject is Mexico, not the youtuber!
    I look forward to touring SMA.

    Beautiful San Miguel! I used to go for vacations there since kid, my family had a time share in the "Hotel Posada La Ermita", which I LOVE IT!, is located in the top and the view is AMAZING! Always GREAT memories in San Miguel!, every single minute is gold there!, I can't wait to come back there!. • @moniksi
      @moniksi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tessajanelle I enjoyed every single minute in San Miguel and its surroundings. If you are going in summer, check the weather weather forecast and plan accordingly, sometimes in summer are days where it rains a lot. After see this forecast, plan the best days (without rain or little rain) to go to the AMAZING places to swim, there are unique and natural hot springs, we used to go to three of them "La Gruta Spa", " "Escondido Place" (Great for picnics) and "Hotel Taboada", there are a couple of other places that I never been, but I know are popular: "The Mayan baths" and other with water games "Balneareo Xote" (more average place).
      You ca also go for a day trip to explore one of the close places close to San Miguel like Guanajuato, Dolores or Leon, You will love specially Guanajuato, full of culture, art, shopping and great architecture.
      If you guys are into ride horses and are curious to explore a "rancho" , you can go to different places where offer this activities like "Rancho de la capilla".or "Rancho Xotolar".
      And of course you have to spend time in San Miguel de Allende, walking around the town with all the cobbled and steep streets, stopping in the many craft and art shops and boutiques and eating is the amazing variety of restaurants and admiring the architecture, will make your happy day!, I recommend you walk to the top of the town, to the lookout (viewpoint) it is amazing the view and there are some shop stores with typical art and treats.
      I hope you enjoy your trip with your family! :)

    We visited SMA immediately after Guanajuato and decided that we preferred Guanajuato. It seemed more laid back with a younger, student vibe. SMA seemed to be overrun with snooty tourists when we were there in March of 2018 - all congratulating themselves for visiting a colonial town rather than a beach resort. Perhaps related - I found the locals to be less friendly than in most other Mexican towns. However, you have encouraged me to take a second look - and I have marked all your recommendations on my map app. Thanks!

    Also want to mention if staying in San Miguel, you should look up and possibly choose from the many lux air bnb in tbr area! Will save you money because the hotels are very pricey! The only other thing to watch for: lots of places in Mexico have roof access where people in the buildings around you can hop from one place to the next via roof and break in and steal your things. While staying in a luxury hotel near the cathedral in the middle of town, I had $400 American dollars stolen from my room because I did not lock my money ins. Safe and also one night I had someone tapping on my door. Inside of the hotel

    Leave your hand out of the video. Not needed to point out things. Takes 30% of the screen and it's distracting

    Thank you for your video. It's just another lesson, for my people here in the U.S. who have this very bad impression of Mexico as a whole, NOT TO MENTION, it's people, whom are warm hard working with a mindset of servitude, even in a social level. My parents retired in a small lakeside colony, which was established by the French,in Jalisco Mx. Needless to say, they are extremely happy, with beautiful year round weather. The locals, look out for, and treat my parents with such warmth. It seems to me, "THE WALL" just might serve, to keep Us "OUT OF MEXICO",visa versa. So, start being nice to a Mexican today, and LEARN SPANISH, ASAP before the dollar collapses, haha!!

    It’s a nice city, the only problem to many Americans and soon it’s not gonna be like a nice Mexican town, all the traditions going to get lost, right now it’s hard for the locals to survive because everything it’s expensive, I’ll so glad to live in Veracruz state where there’s no gringos specially in my city Pueblo mágico Orizaba.

      From what I've seen, most foreigners in San Miguel have a lot of respect for the traditions there.

    not a prong collar! jesus christ get him a front lock harness if hes strong and pulls and stop being so cruel. its called an easy walk harness and they totally stop the dog from pulling without inflicting harm. watch victoria stillwell's video on why positive reinforcement trainers do not use prong pinch or shock collars.

      Harnesses make dogs pull even more

      @@organic-artistic not the ones that hook in the FRONT. they are called "easy walks". if your dog is trained a little using positive reinforcement (reward based training not punishment training (prong, shock, and pinch collars) your dog will not pull they will respect and listen to you. using a easy walk is an easy way to get a dog to stop pulling without harming them with a prong collar which causes pain, stress, and distrust of their owners. I know, i worked with several positive reinforcement trainers. anyone who uses any of those horrible collars are willingly inflicting pain on their dog when they KNOW that they are many other non-painful options available which are more sustainable and designed to engage the dogs intelligence rather than its adrenal response (stress, pain, e.c.) one of my 50 pound dogs is a happy puppy boy who pulls a little and is strong, with minimal to zero training he is not able to pull me with his easy walk harness.
