  • The prongs on the ring are definitely not as described (not claw prongs as pictured in the listing).
I’d say the ring is cute and if you wanted a good moissanite stone - this could be a good option.

Moissanites are not intended to replace diamonds, they are a gem in their own right. If you want something to replace a diamond invest in a lab-grown diamond.

Moissanites are great sustainable stones that lasts a lifetime. Most mined diamonds at this size will have inclusions anyway.

I bought mine from Amazon. The company was Imolove . I bought a 1.5 ct round moissanite with a matching full eternity moissanite band . I also bought an oval . I prefer the round. I have natural diamond wedding set but i prefer my simple moissanite set. Btw moissanite test as a natural diamond

You mentioned it a couple times, but moissanite is not diamond. if you are looking for a moissanite that looks the most like a diamond, you would want to get a precision cut moissanite. The price on this is like under $50, if you want a higher quality stone, it comes with a price tag, but they are definitely out there!

yes, I agree with you 100%. What is strange to me is that many years back, when moissanites were first becoming popular, a lot of sellers were marketing them as a "substitute for diamonds", but I have come to realize they're nothing alike due to the way the light goes through and everything. Thanks for watching and commenting! I appreciate it!

Horrid, crooked setting at 1:29. Prongs are not evenly spaced. VERY low quality ring. Not for me.

I'm not convinced that a trained eye could tell. I've actually had trained eyes unable to tell by looking at it that it's not a diamond. I also have a real diamond engagement ring, they can't tell. If they look under their scope they could see, but out in public even a trained professional couldn't tell.

You can definitely tell- if you know what to look for. I love moissanite. They reflect for rainbow sparkle and have more fire than a diamond.

Ive been researching engagement rings. I ordered one as a temp until I figured out what the woman wants. I was very impressed with the $25 1ct Kuololit ring, at least compared to cheaper costume jewelry. I think yours might be clearer or less tinted than mine, and your GRA certificate looks different(although it probably doesnt matter). Definitely very sparkly/brilliant, but somehow I think Ill end up shelling out the money for a better stone&setting when I figure out what the girl wants. But you really have to be paying attention to realize this is a $25 ring because it does look really good, and I wouldn't feel uncomfortable proposing with this ring except for the cheap price. Definitely, a huge upgrade from CZ and white sapphire imo.
I am also wondering how this $25 ring compares to cheaper 1ct moissanite rings from AE, so I have a $9 ring coming next week and Ill let you know how it compares. I'd also like to find a way to source brighter stones after watching a Bonnie Jewelry video where she points out that stones can look bad even when the 4C's look good on paper, so you have to examine/curate the stones in person to make sure they aren't dark/tinted.

Please make a video on the cheaper ring vs a more expansive one

I absolutely love Bonnie’s videos! She’s amazing at curating beautiful diamonds and those settings are incredible.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a moissanite ring for less than $20/$25. For $9 - I’m curious if it will test as a moissanite and how it will look.
Definitely ask her what she wants in terms of size, lab/natural, setting type etc.
Some people love moissanites more than diamonds, others (like me) prefer the depth and look of a diamond.
I’ve found that a lot of times moissanite stones have a “grey tint” and they’re not deep, almost makes me want to “clear” the blurring off. It’s hard to explain, but I think once you see a bunch of diamonds and moissanites in real life, it’s easier to tell them apart. I will say though - round cut moissanites in 1ct - max 2 ct are definitely harder to tell apart from diamonds. The smaller the stone, the harder it is to distinguish, especially from farther away.
Kuololit sells on Amazon also, and on AliExpress. Everyone has great reviews for their rings. I think for the price, it’s great.
Good luck in your search for the perfect ring! And thank you for your comment!

@@RingsAndCoffee I've got a cheap diamond tester coming in the mail too so I'll test both rings. Do you have any experience with higher end moissanite such as C&C? Cause I wonder if that would be clear/brighter

    • @RingsAndCoffee
      @RingsAndCoffee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

No, I never bought any expensive moissanites because I’ve seen some videos on those and also saw one at a Macys store, in real life and it looked awful. It was a CC and I was so surprised to see how bad it looked, plus to me spending thousands of dollars on a moissanite seems like a scam. With that money you can get a lab diamond. But again that’s just my personal opinion and preference.

@@RingsAndCoffee ok I just got the $8 ring and... damn it's not bad at all. Im still waiting on the diamond tester, but I'm about 95% sure that this is real moissanite because it came with a "GRA certificate" that is identical to the Koulolit certificate but with a different serial number that works on the same website. To the naked eye the stones look very similar, although the Koulolit is slightly more sparkly (possibly because of the different ring settings), but the serial engraving is slightly larger on the $8 stone. I'm impressed with both rings, but I definitely think the Koulolit feels more elegant because of the thinner more open setting (honestly this might be the only difference).

Moissanite has a crazy amount of sparkle. Its refractive index is higher than a natural diamond's, producing more shine and a special kind of fiery rainbow brilliance. While many people go crazy for these sparkles, some turn up their noses at them.
So it deeped on if you want a firey stone or not.
GRA isnt a real certification its made to look just like the GIA certification. So if I was you I would have the moissanite tested to see if its real specially coming out of China. Its easy to test if its real moissanite with a diamond tester. Moissanite will test the same as a diamond. Most people can not tell that a moissanite isnt a diamond with the naked eye and it test as a diamond. Moissanite is easily sold as diamonds. A jewelry will test for moissanite but normal people cant tell the difference. Plus it does test as a diamond.
If your moissanite test as a diamond its real moissanite but if it dont test as a diamond on the diamond tester its not real moissanite.
Also you may want to check around ask about that GRA certification.
In the USA a 2ct moissanite with GIA Certification will cost approximately 1500+ or more. Charles & Colvard is the leading seller in Moissanite they have the best quality moissanite 1ct starts at 690.00
Charles & Colvard is known in the jewelry world as having the best moissanite and I dont call it cheap it's less then a diamond, yes but still not cheap....
I personally think Moissanite is much prettier then diamonds and moissanite is just as hard as a diamond so it will last forever just like a diamond I think it makes a good choice for a engagement ring my moissanite get so many compliments much more then my diamond ring
