The 1080G2 is a great unit, lots of configuration for bash, crawl and rwd drift uses. I use them for rwd and bash as well as crawl/trail. Always fun to upgrade, fix after a big event and relive the moments while tidying up the rigs! :D
I remember that rig from Pro-Line. My son is the guy who layed on the ground to take the picture of your rig. RC4WD definitely made improvements on that overall Tamiya design. Still, I always thought they were very cool. Always wanted a Bruiser. I've noticed most if not all Tamiya trail rigs steer about as well as a train. My Clodbuster and CR01 have bad steering.
I remember him! I still love that photo. The bruiser is a cool car but really rough to turn into something like the TF2. The way to go is the HG P407. I did a review on it and after these years, I stand by that car. Come visit me at PL this year!
Grind off approx 2mm of the wheel axle cup and make a slot in the axle casting where the steering knuckle hits and you will have better steering. Goal is have the tires not touch the leaf springs, but very close, in tus give better steering. You want the pin on the dogbone to rest on the edge of the cup, but not beyond that. I must have built at least 10 rigs with HL/TLT axles this way and never broken a dogbone, even after this mod. In a narrow forrest trail, a 10 point turn gets old really fast, trust me! I even do this mod on Axial SCX10 v1 axles it I don't run universal axle shafts.
Yes I am getting one to see how they screwed it up. The front end is awful, the rear end is too narrow and the battery retainer is a joke. Mainly, its like a crappy copy of what I did 4 years ago. lol
Hello sir, I just understood why I do not receive your parts via Shapeways. I am sorry for you and your work, hoping that this has not caused you any harm. I would like to know if you
Oh no, shapeways closed down and gave NO ONE any notice. They have not paid any store owners and have not refunded anyone their money. Please reach out to the company you used to pay (your credit card or paypal, etc.) and request a refund. Shapeways went out of business and now is not helping anyone. Management there screwed everyone.
Great video my Friend ,looking good 👍

I actually did that too but was worried that if seen, people would overdo it and ruin their axles.
Do you wanna get a hornet evo? What do you think of it?

Pfff, steering is so overrated... Looks at drag racing! They don't need much of it, right? :p
hahahah!
