@@Jake-tk5bj The only thing I don't like is if you wear polarized glasses you won't be able to see the screen from the driver's seat... You have to look directly at it by moving in front of it! Also the back up, front and 360° cameras aren't as clear as the original! Otherwise it's not too bad. I just wish I could have gotten a new O.E.M. screen as I have one in my 150 Transit work truck.

I recently purchased and installed an AutoTecPro Tesla style infotainment system (Android 13) to replace the old infotainment system in my 2019 GMC Sierra Denali 2500HD truck, and while researching methods to upload things like wallpaper, etc., to the system, the instructions (provided through AutoTecPro's website) state that a USB needs to be formatted in "FAT32", so therefore one is restricted to 8-16 GB of available space (apparently FAT32 doesn't work well with USB drives larger than that). I didn't realize this when I purchased a large format USB drive (512GB) from a local BestBuy and thought I found a work around to reformat the drive to FAT32 (despite it being much larger than 16 GB) but the reformatting process failed (I haven't tried it again . . . yet). Seeing that YOUR USB is much larger than 16 GB, I have to ask . . .how did you get the correct formatting? Or, is it formatted in some other "format" such as exFAT or NFTS, etc.? and it still works in your Android based system? Thanks in advance for any insights you might provide!

yes you can put a picture of you own truck you just need to photoshop the wallpaper with your own truck. I think I have a link for all the icons i used in the description

Did you noticed with nova or any other launcher apart from original whenever you switch on your truck, the screen comes on at recent apps window at start and then you have to press the home to go to homescreen again.
Nice Video. Question tho, how did you get the "console" app to the Nova home screen? The one you renamed Sync. It seems to be locked in place? Also have you found a way to have the system boot up on something other than static radio. Say a preset or something.

Last week I bought a similar system for my 2015 Ford Mondeo (European version) with Sync2 and auto ac. I am waiting for delivery. Can you please say whether, for example, when you are in the "Android" part, for example listening to music, coming from a USB drive or even recorded in the device's memory, or even watching a movie, and turning off the your car, when you turn it back on or just turn on the radio, does this function remain, does the system resume or, on the contrary, does it have no sound, you are left with just the home screen, or does the SYNC system take over? I don't think this issue has ever been addressed in the various videos I've seen here on TH-cam. Another question, what happens when you are receiving or making a phone call and you get in or out of the vehicle. How does Bluetooth behave? Do you lose the call? Does the call disconnect? Can you still hear the person on the other side? Using only Bluetooth and not CarPlay or Android Auto, does it work the same way? In a few days, I will test mine, anyway, I believe it is a good question to develop in future videos.Keep up the great work and keep up these great videos 👏👏
the phone call swithces over when you get out of the car. When you are using carplay and leave the vehicle. the track resumes when you restart the vehicle. it ony goes back to the sync if the time has been over a few hours.
Hey Dean, I’m getting the same radio this week and would love to do the same idea with the wallpaper. You mentioned you wanted to put your personal truck on the top of the screen. Would you be able give me some guidance on how I could do that with my own truck as well?
The way I am going to try to do it is to take a pic with my cellphone. And use the feature (on iphone) where I click on the truck and it removes it from the background and then I will use photoshop to paste it onto my walllpaper. That is the plan anyway lol
So, is the Sync (w/Ford emblem) how you listen to OEM radio...i.e. "Console" per AT? I personally listen to the radio/SiriusXM most of the time, but hate the look of the OEM console and all the same HVAC controls.

Hi, I see this question hasn't been answered... I've had my screen installed for about 1.5 months. I haven't heard of a way to do this yet. What i did was install Nova Launcher like in Dean's other video and I created a swipe to the right shortcut on the main home screen to access sync. It goes to a random fm ch every time. I use the media button to get to my siriusxm. However, I cant get the system to boot up on the same channel i was listening to previously. Please let me know if you get an answer. I love the screen btw. Good luck.
When pressing and holding the screen to access widgets, I don't see the same selection that you show. I am running the latest Android 13 14.4 screen, wondering if they changed anything?
After spending a bit of time on the F150 forums and downloading more widgets, as well as Shortcut Maker in order to utilize Split Screen, this screen just got 10x better.
Downloaded Nova Launcher and Nova Launcher Prime. . . But when I go back to the original Android Apps screen I don’t see “Nova Settings” and neither of those two previous apps (Launcher or Launcher Prime) provides the settings controls you go through in your video. Any suggestions l?
if you mean to take up the entire screen, then the answer is no. the screen is is a 9 x 16 orientatation, so unless the move was shot vertically like with an iphone then the answer is no
I installed a Verizon sim card. Seemed good at the Verizon location when I installed it but I find that it's not staying connected in the way I feel it should. maybe an antenna issue? I have really good service in my area but just doesn't stay connected. You know of a issue fix or do you recommend anything I should do? other than that this thing is on point. Thanks for the help. I had this issue also. You will need your factory apim which is saddled on the back of your oem screen. You remove that and attach it to the Tesla Screen. Super easy. It's all plug and play. I love my new Tesla screen and now have it cusomized with Nova Launcher and it looks awesome in my 2013 f150
Is there any way to disable the "Console" app? Maybe that's not the correct way to do it, but everytime I turn the truck on, it automatically opens the console app and goes to the factory radio screen. Same goes when I turn off the truck. When I shut it off the console app opens.

im having a problem with my screen that i cant find anyone else having this problem.... my screen literally wont turn off when the vehicle is off, itll stay on all night and kill my batterys every morning. i did a full factory reset a regular reset and tried everything cant figure it out, im hoping you have an idea on where to start to fix this problem?
Having the same problem, been trying to troubleshoot with the retailer (autotecpro), they think its a firmware issue, so far nothing theyve suggested i do has worked. Pretty frustrating but as long as i drive my truck once a day the battery holds a charge
I would like to add that there is an equalizer app built in and it allows far more tweaking than the stock Sync options. So I would say you can get it to sound better, especially if you have the factory Sony or B&O systems.
you have to download a netflix apk file and install it from the usb, but it doesnt work in portrait mode, i thin hey are still working on a vesion that will work natively
Has anyone tried gaming on one? I’d imagine you can hook up a controller and imagine it has play store also. I have Apple so not sure if they have games on there. I know we have gta San Andreas and resident evil 4 ps4 version
@@DeaninItYourself Bluetooth controllers do not work. The BT device profiles are stripped down on this device. USB profiles are limited as well. You cannot connect via ADB or use most external USB devices. Only USB storage devices are allowed. FYI, I am RJINAZ from the F150 forums. Glad you like the wallpapers. You can play a lot of touch based games on the unit just fine, but anything that requires an external controller is out of the question.

i formatted it in exFAT but i think the limit is 256 GB I could be wrong

Thanks for sharing, I dont think there is a solution yet, unless you install nova launcher, you can tell it what app to launch on startup

are you sure they installed. If they did try to reboot the radio and see if they show up. That is strange

my first thought would be the placement of your antennas. try repositioning them, my unit does not drop connection.

sounds like the wiring is mixed up. might be a problem from the factory harness. did you reach out to the manufacturer?
